Very nice place the owners were so nice and we could tell they go out of the way to make their place cozy and welcoming. We very much enjoyed our stay. The room was clean the beds were super comfortable and the location is quiet. Everything we wanted in a place to stay the night. We will definitely stay there again.

Loved It

The room was clean, and the price was budget-friendly. They are pet friendly. Honestly, that's the 3 things I was looking for. In addition the room was fairly cute. Couldn't get the hairdryer to work, but that's not much to complain about. 

Clean 

I wanted a cheap place to spend the night. The price was very low and was appropriate for the quality. It is a 50's era motel. It seemed pretty clean, the bathroom fixtures didn't work very well, but it had a mini-fridge and a microwave, so It has some basic features. I slept well, which is what mattered.

A Basic Motel, Inexpersive

Light on amenities, but clean rooms with comfortable beds.   It makes for a nice stop on a road trip.  Within walking distance (across a busy boulevard) to a good Mexican Restaurant.   No continental breakfast.   Courteous and friendly staff.

Nice place for a budget motel

If you are looking for a cheap and cheerful place to stay, this is the place for you.  Rooms are surprisingly nice for the price.  All rooms are first floor which is great if you got stuff.  The rooms have been facelifted.  Beds are comfy and the place is quiet.  Oh yeah, the AC works well too, which is important in Lamar.  But, the breakfast is really, really minimal.  Think fruit loops and corn flakes along with microscopic muffins of some sort.  Couldn't recognize brown liquid as coffee.  Don't let the poor breakfast trouble you as you have saved a bunch of money staying here and you can get a tasty breakfast at various places such as Brew Unto Others a mile north on the main drag.

Surprisingly nice for the price but go into town for breakfast

This motel is well kept on both outside and in.We stopped because of the outside appearance.The lady at the front desk was super nice and efficient.We had room 122 and we were shocked !First of all there are 3 queen beds and lots of room.The room was very clean and the retro bathroom with pink tiles was awesome.The rainshower head was really nice with great water pressure and hot water.There was a microwave and refrigerator with an extra sink and the tv actually worked great.The only reason I did not give this a 5 was due to the ratty curtains full of holes and I am not a fan of slick bedspreads.Other than that it was super nice.This place was also extremely quiet and you park by your door.

Better than a chain

Be sure to turn the paintings around to see the porn that is tapped to the back. Classic stuff. They turn off the water in the kitchenette. I travel a lot and this is literally the worse place I have ever stayed.

Pornography

An nice place to stay for one night. We called for information and then paid upon arrival.  The room was clean, spacious and well appointed with two comfortable arm chairs.  The check-in clerk was very friendly. We very much appreciated that this motel is pet friendly!

Overnight stay

Stayed here for one night and while I was appreciative of the hot shower and clean room, I couldn't get over the lingering smell of cigarette smoke in my room from prior guests.  The smell was on my clothes I had worn to bed even when I got home again.  Bed was very uncomfortable and sagging.  Room did have mini-fridge and coffee maker, along with a light breakfast offering at the main office.  Check-in/out was easy and lady at desk was very friendly.  Overall, I wanted to like this motel, but the smell of my room and ultimate lack of sleep from the bed makes me rate it lower.
