My parents took time out of their busy schedule to visit from out of state and decided to give their business to the Townsman Inn. There were bugs crawling all over the room!!!! And then the owners had the audacity to say they were lying after they took many pictures and showed them. They refuse a refund!!! There were gnats flying out of the sink, bloody snot on the wall, not to mention a possible fire hazard with the way everything was plugged into one power strip. Cigarette butts littered all over the front porch. Do they not know how to sweep? Just absolutely disgusting. I am deeply disappointed and irate that they give my parents’ impression of LARNED KS to be that of a dumpster.

DISGUSTING! BUGS! FILTHY! NO REFUND???

Cheap rates but you get what you pay for! Run up the street and pay more but have security that rooms are clean and comfortable! 
If you are looking for a cheap motel then this will do for you.
If you want extra pets to take home then this is the motel!

Bypass this rundown unkept bug infested establishment!

I have stayed at the Townsman Inn multiple times in the past month. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well kept and are up to date. As I live in the country with bad water pressure, I rate motels on water pressure. This has great water pressure and lots of hot water. 
It seems like when I come in on Sunday’s, it is always late at night. The first time was 2 am, the next 2 times were midnight. Chris or her brother, Patrick are always there with a smile to greet me to their motel. 
Their rates are great. Their Pilot Car Driver rate even beats what my boss can get with his Corporate Lodging Card rate(CLC). 
And their biggest plus is their free breakfast. Much, much more than a simple continental breakfast. Sent 2 pics of the menu hopefully you can read one or the other. Everything on the menu is there to enjoy.
This motel is must stay if you stop in Larned KS!


Multiple stays at Townsman Inn, Larned, KS

Always suspect of non-franchise hotels in small towns but was very pleased at every turn!  Staff was friendly and helpful, room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast included biscuits and gravy (first time I've had that option and it was great!)  Great value!

Great value!

Stayed here while the wife went to a permaculture related school in the area. Rooms were pretty well kept up but might look a little dated. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. I had a motorcycle on a trailer and they were very helpful in making sure I had a decent place to park it. The breakfast was fairly simple but I never went away hungry and they always had plenty of food. Definitely an excellent bargain for a place to stay. We would stay there again.

Good place to stay with great rates

I had to clean the bathroom floor before I could get in the shower. I left a washcloth and a note for housekeeping. The coffee pot did not work, the wire was frayed. I pulled out the end table looking for an outlet to plug my phone charger in, and found cigarette butts, food, an inch of dust.The microwave was caked in grease. I am thankful I didn't need to use it for food.  Please clean your rooms for god's sake. And don't give the excuse like you did at the front desk, " we aren't perfect by any means, but we don't have roaches." 
The bed was acceptable. The heater ran very loudly, so if I was watching TV, it was drowned out by the heater. But I am grateful the heater worked. 
The whole place was packed with escort cars for wind turbine trucks. People thankfully settled in and got quiet quickly.

I stayed here while traveling through Kansas. My room was spacious, clean, and the bed was comfortable. The staff is amazing and will go above and beyond to accommodate any requests. I would highly recommend this hotel to any of my family or friends.

I stayed here off and on for 8 months. Most of the staff is amazing! The rooms I had were clean and this is hands down the most pet friendly motel around. I only had one issue with them. I traveled for work and would stay while I worked. On my days off, I would return home. If I forget anything in the refrigerator, it was gone. Instead of putting it back or calling me, it was "thrown away". I went home for two days and when I came back one of the staff said, "that creamer you left was so good!" This time I realized I had left my lunch in the refrigerator minutes after I checked out and called to say I would be back that night to pick it up. I went back, 15 minutes before work expecting to pick up my items only to be told it was "thrown away" again. It is just so hard to believe that such an awesome manager has such lackluster staff.

The staff was very pleasant and friendly. The rooms were very clean and spacious. It made me feel as if I was home. I can not wait till we visit here again. Thank you to the staff for all you do. I will defiantly refer this hotel to all my family and friends.
