Stay far away! Upon walking to our room, there were cops swarming the room across from us. The room was very dirty. Carpet not vacuumed, cobwebs everywhere, dirty towels, dirty couches, toilet had urine stains, cable didn’t work, oven was dirty, none of the clocks were set, curtain was stained...it was very nasty. Room is very dated and this place needs a deep cleaning! The complimentary breakfast was a joke. The juice machine didn’t work and the food selection was pitiful. My first and last visit at this establishment.

DO NOT MAKE A RESERVATION AT THIS PLACE

The kitchen was lacking 1 pot but other than that everything was great! Kim was the person that made it so great.  What ever we asked for she went out of her way to accommodate with a very pleasant attitude. We have been traveling for over 37 years so we know great service when we see it!

Staff and Service was awesome!!

I have been staying here for years. Started back when it was the Residence Inn. It has gone down hill a bit but is adequate. Walked in and there was ripped up paper all over the floor, an old coffee cup in the fridge, green slim in the tub, half used lotion in the bathroom, broken towel holder so towels sitting on the toilet. Very outdated. Was good for a place to sleep, not much more. Continental breakfast was very slim. Fitness center has two treadmill. One broken. Only dirty towels in the gym. 

Adequate 

Reserved a night here prior to an early morning flight out of Albany.  Close proximity and reasonable price led us to choose this location.  Upon check in we were asked to sign a “quiet hours” agreement, something I had never seen before.  We laughed it off being a quiet couple looking to hit the rack with a 430am wake up.  Fell asleep for a couple hours and then was woken up by a large crowd running up and down the stairs and talking loudly outside our door.  Turns out the suite above us was hosting a large party.  Called the front desk and the attendant said she couldn’t leave the office/lobby building to investigate but said she would call the non emergency number of local police.  No idea if she called or not but the party continued all night and was only breaking up as we were leaving at 5, with the group yelling at each other in the parking lot.  We checked out and the same attendant asked us about the party and I told her that I got no sleep because of it.  No apologies, no offer of a refund, no offer during the night to change rooms.  The fact this place has a quiet time agreement form tells me this is a regular occurrence.  Recommend avoid...but YMMV

Waste of money

We had to stay for one night at the airport and this hotel was very nice and modern. Very clean and close to airport. The room was very spacious, own kitchen and sitting area. Lots of parking available.

Let me preface this by saying the staff was great, until we needed to speak to management. Management was awful. 
Just as we arrived at the hotel, we hit a pot hole in the parking lot. A bad enough pot hole that THE ENTIRE FRONT WHEEL came off of my husband's car. The axle snapped. We were four hours from home and stranded as a result of that. No one helped us find a tow truck or open shop to take our car to, just left us in the entrance of their parking lot. 
When I mentioned to the staff that we'd be forced to stay another day, miss work on Monday, etc., they offered to do all they could to help us...except potentially compensate us for another night, since we were stranded thanks to their parking lot. The manager that was on duty, Carmen, went far enough to say, "We're actually not sure that's even our property," AS SOMEONE THAT WORKED FOR THE HOTEL REPAIRED THE POTHOLE. So they'll make repairs...but it isn't their property? 
The room itself was okay. Definitely large. But the carpets were thoroughly stained red throughout and one of the chairs was broken (my husband actually fell backwards out of it as a result). Definitely not worth $135 a night for two nights, especially when we didn't want to be there for two nights.  
So, long story short - we drove to this hotel, hit a pothole in their parking lot, ended up stranded for two days, missed out on the reason we were there and are now out over $2000 between the car, missed wages for all four of us, the car we had to rent to go home (and back - our car is still there!) and an extra night in the hotel. The staff before we met management were great, but not worth that much for a weekend trip.

Staff was nice, just make sure you watch for potholes!

I made a mistake booking a room reservation at the Albany Inn and Suites. I mistakenly read a pet fee of $10.00 per night when it read $100.00.

 

Upon our arrival I mentioned to Andre the Front Desk representative that we had a dog with us. He advised me there was a $100.00 “non refundable deposit” for the dog. “So the deposit is refunded provided the room is not in anyway damaged by the dog’s presence.” I asked. Andre replied no, it’s non-refundable. I know this may seem petty but then it’s not really a deposit but rather a fee. I admit I was blinded by the light as I’ve never stayed at a hotel that is “pet friendly” as claimed on your website then assesses a $100.00 non-refundable fee under the guise of cleaning costs. None the less it was my error in reading the fine print. I did however wonder whether your rooms are only cleaned when a dog is present in the room.

 

My only complaint is when I said to Andre that I would then leave our dog in the car he said that was not possible. He asserted that since I had made him aware of the dog I could stay only if I paid the $100.00 non-refundable deposit. That was disappointing as I felt I was honest telling him about the dog and he supposed I would sneak the dog into the room so no payment no room. I left without staying and forfeited the night stay.

 

I found other arrangements nearby at a pet friendly hotel for about the same price without a “non-refundable deposit” for the dog.

Pet friendly, Not.

Stayed here for a night passing through the area . Hotel had a Unique setup that is a few separate house like buildings set back in a wooded area , away from the highway and kind of peaceful . Rooms have a modern design , with a full kitchen ,  electric fire place and spacious bathroom . We were satisfied with our stay and would book again .

The shuttle service they offer is a joke. I called from the airport and was told they are on the way, after 15 minutes I called to check again , they claim the driver is there in a white van which never appeared, called every 15 minutes for over an hour still no ride. Finally the white van arrived and I got a ride to the hotel. At the desk the were sorry for the inconvenience and gave me a small discount for the night. I asked to get the name of a cab company because I had an early flight and need to be at the airport by 4:30AM. The would not give me a number to call but said they would set it up for 4:15AM cab arrival. At 4:15 I showed up at the lobby and guess what no cab, spoke to the front desk person and he had never heard about the cab nor did the driver when he arrived at 4:45AM. So much for help from the staff. The rooms are dated and showing their age. Based on the experience I had this is one place I will never stay at again. The level of frustration with this place is incredible and unwarranted.

No Follow Up on customer requests

We enjoyed our stay here tremendously. We have to please our notoriously picky teens. This place got them almost from the beginning. It's a drive up to the suite which is located in an outdoorsy cottagy setting,so my kids were wary. But they loved the setup. It's an attractive, bilevel suite with a bed and bath in the loft,a double bed that folds up and a big pull out couch.Its carpeted. There's 2 bathrooms and a full kitchen. There's 2 TV's so I ran from one show to the other because I wanted to watch both 😆 There's a place to eat. There's an outdoors pool which was nice with a hot tub, which my kids took advantage of. There was some pool equipment and toys such as a ball and floatees for my younger daughter. The basketball court and tennis court were nice but lacked the promised equipment 😔. But the place was spacious enough for 2 parents and 4-5 kids. My kids really enjoyed. There's a huge lawn outside which is great for playing ball, plus a picnic bench. The lobby is attractive, there an exercise and computer center, and there is free breakfast and free dinner mon- Weds I think, tho we did not partake. Wish we could have stayed longer and we wish there was an indoor pool so we could come in the colder season as well!
