Lovely antebellum manor with charming common rooms full of architectural interest. Large spacious bedrooms with updated newer baths. Luxury soap products and plenty of towels. Pat the innkeeper greeted us and spent a long time giving us the history of the house and area. So interesting and very kind of him. Breakfast of delicious homemade quiche, etc with excellent service. It even had a Tesla charger we could use! Why stay at a chain hotel when you can stay at this inn which is only 10 minutes from I-95. We can’t wait to return.

A must stay on your trip.

My husband and I celebrated a birthday at this beautiful B&B. Pat was a gracious and a wonderful host as well as a ONE Man team for Friday night dinner. Never missed a beat. All the breakfast menus were spectacular. We were able to spend three nights and it was a very quiet and relaxing time. It is a great location for Myrtle Beach and Conway as well as Florence. Thank you so much Pat. We will see you again.

Fun time

Situated in a beautiful historic neighborhood not far off of I-95 this sprawling manor is everything you could want for a luxurious evening. We were driving from the northeast to Florida and looking for somewhere to spend the night that was off the beaten trail and quiet and comfortable. 
In addition to being a stunning home that was built in the early 1900’s the restaurant in the home is outstanding. We enjoyed a fantastic 6 course dinner in a peaceful environment. Our host was wonderful and our room was spotless and comfortable. We plan to stop back there next time we are passing through. 
This is a hidden gem!

A historic mansion in a beautiful setting.

I can't say enough about the beauty and comfort of Abingdon Manor. It really was a perfectly relaxing weekend stay. Beautiful house, welcoming service, and comfortable rooms. Definitely a jewel in SC. It will be on my list any time I'm back in the area.

excellent weekend getaway

We spent a lovely evening at Abingdon Manor Inn. Dinner was superb and the room very confortable and spacious. We were greeted by the Chef and met the owner at cocktails time. Service and hospitality at their best.

When staying at a B&B, you might get good food but not beautiful decor But At Abingdon Manor you get it all!!!! The Inn is beautiful and the food is delicious and the room so well appointed.  Our hosts, Mike and Patty, are definitely in the right business, they made us feel so welcomed and catered to our every  need.  In fact, we already booked our next stay.  Just 5 miles off of I-95, its so convenient and such a beautiful retreat from our busy lives!

Excellent B&B in a historic area

The Abingdon Manor Inn is a hidden gem. Only a short distance from I-95 in northern So. Carolina,  it is a most welcome upgrade over all the chain hotels along the highway. The dinner was exquisite and the breakfast was delicious; both served in a lovely enclosed porch. The room was very comfortable with plenty of windows and no detail forgotten. Linens and towels were of excellent quality. We'll definitely stay again on our way to Hilton Head next year.
I appreciate that the innkeepers require guests to be vaccinated.

Excellent B&B

I found Abington through an EV charging app. I was looking for somewhere about halfway from the Hamptons, NY to Naples, FL with an EV charger. There are plenty of choices among Hampton Inns and Holiday Inns but Abingdon stood out as something different. For only a bit more money, the experience was worlds above the typical chain hotels that you see. The Inn itself was lovely with all you would expect in a B&B. Everything was well restored and very clean. They have all the amenities that you would find in nicer hotels but are often absent in B&B’s. They even offer complimentary snacks. But what really made Abingdon special was the very friendly innkeepers, Michael and Patty. Both went out of their way to be sure my short stay was comfortable. And the included hot breakfast and optional dinner were really award-winning meals that rival what you would find in the best restaurants around the world. My reason for staying there was to charge my car, which I did. But I found so much more. I’ll be back.

I often get asked to write reviews of places I stay but usually I don’t find the time to do so. Abingdon is so special that I wanted to write this review.

Superb B&B with an EV Charger and Michelin Star Quality Meals

Looking for a stopping point on the hectic way northward on I-95, we found this property and it seemed to hit all the notes for us: historic property, charm and good food and drink. We were not disappointed and as our stay was superb. 

Mike greeted us at arrival and provide a brief history of the property, guided us to our room and made us feel very welcome.

Cocktails were served at 6:30p with dinner at 7:00p.  The  six course fixe prix menu was delicious,  lovely presentations, served by friendly, attentive servers, and boasted a small but very nice wine list. We enjoyed a Margaux. 

Our room was the Hunter Room. It was clean, very comfortable, sizable, well appointed and served us well. 

We thoroughly enjoyed our stop. We look forward to the opportunity to return and enjoy this lovely manor and the gracious hospitality of the hosts.

Oasis of Serenity

We stayed at Abington Manor for 3 days the end of September for a family birthday.  Michael worked with me to create the ultimate experience in every way.  From the relaxing atmosphere, evening cocktails, excellent food and first-class service, it was perfect.  As there were 6 of us, we were excited to take the cooking class.  We learned new skills and have fresh ideas.  But most of all we created great memories.  Set the date for your pampering…
