My wife and I recently celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at fox den. It was perfect. Dan and Lori went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. Room and common area were immaculate. Their 2 German shepherds g and z and 2 cays domino and baleu were fun and friendly.  The breakfasts were wonderful.  I would highly recommend fox den

What a pleasant unique find! My wife and I stayed for two nights during Octoberfest weekend. Dan and Lori made us feel very welcome and at home. The room is very comfortable, there are so many common / social areas and the landscape is manicured. We can’t wait to be back!

Awesome B&B for couples

This was an amazing B&B.  I wish we had stayed more nights!  Lori gave us a wonderful tour when we arrived. She showed us the property, the rescue horses, the turkeys, the cats, and their dogs.  We also toured the guest area and our room.  She explained everything very well in a friendly manner. There were lots of unexpected perks to provide an extra level of comfort, too. I have never had such a pleasant stay! I highly recommend it!

Cozy stay in Leavenworth

Red Den is a gem of a find! My husband and I have stayed in many B and B’s and this was by far the best. Upon our arrival we were greeted by the owners, Dan and Lori, a warm and friendly couple wishing to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. They succeeded! Each morning a breakfast basket arrived outside our door filled with fresh fruit, unbelievably delicious baked goods and each day a different yummy egg preparation! We stayed in Red Fox room. Our beautiful room was romantic with a fireplace, candles, music and a large shower! Red Den is definitely a 5 star place to stay!

Leavenworth Gem

This place is just wonderful. We had a wonderful welcome tour from human friends (Dan and Lori are great) and animal friends Z, Maya, River and Baloo. Very clean and very welcoming. Absolutely stunning place. Again clean, clean, clean. I know you readers like to read how clean a place is. (If you don't like animals Dan and Lori are great at keeping them away from you. I personally love them.) Dan and Lori make amazing breakfast and are super thoughtful on asking ahead of time if you're allergic to anything. For those who are worried about animals and allergies, my husband is actually allergic BUT like I said,  Dan and Lori keep the place VERY CLEAN and my husband had no problem at all.

Very Relaxing and Clean!

It has lovely grounds & accommodations. We arrived on one of the 100 degree days. It was nice inside -I had called to make certain that they had air conditioning. I asked Lori permission to invite our Leavenworth friends over to eat in the downstairs cool dining area. My friend is 9 months pregnant and has a 2 year old-they have no air conditioning. Perhaps Lori should have checked with Dan. He was very unhappy about it and let us know frequently during the 2 hours that they stayed.-even telling us that we would have to take care of any damages that the 2 year old did. What? Of course, we would have anyway. Dan hovered around the indoor staircase listening until the baby cried for 1-2 minutes. We immediately took him outside.We apologized to the other couple staying there about the noise because Dan said they were upset about it. They said that they had not heard any of it and had not complained. Dan made several comments about why they would not allow children to stay over or have weddings there. Yes, he was on top of everything, to the point of being obsessive. If the weather would have permitted and we could have gotten a refund we would have left. Instead we stayed and offered help on his water tank flooding problem. The room was very nice. There was no view except a lovely small water feature in a window well. The air conditioning had no way to be adjusted. So, I was freezing inside and burning hot outside. The dining area was the perfect temperature. The only other problem was that there was noise from above. It seemed to be a bathroom with someone taking a shower around midnight. We could have ignored that in the review if the “attitude” had been more tolerant. We had thought it would be a great place to go back to on our visits to see our friends, but sorry, NO.

Rating either a 1 or a 5. Unfortunately we will not be going back to Fox Den.

Our stay at the Fox Den last weekend was lovely and relaxing but still had a few disappointments. We loved the scenery and the miniature horses that are kept in a pen just up from the house. If it hadn't have been so cold, then we would have spent more time in the yard, which is beautiful. We did have an issue with the dog droppings that were all over the guest parking area. One small pile could be overlooked, but it was like trying to traverse through landmines. Chose your steps carefully.

We stayed in the Artic Fox room which was clean and welcoming. The sheets were a little starchy, but the bed was firm and comfortable. The fireplace heats up the room great and the heated floors in the bathroom were amazing. We also used the jetted-tub, which is a little small for two people, but we made it work! 

One unfortunate aspect of the room is the window looks out right onto the porch, where incoming and outgoing guests are walking by. From the outside, you can see right onto the bed. We're not sure if anyone got an eyeful while passing, since we wanted to have the blinds up to get sunlight in the room (it's the only window), but that wasn't going to stop us from having fun.  

The common areas were very nice, clean, and well equipped. We think the owners (we only met Dan who is very friendly and welcoming) are doing an amazing job during this Covid madness. We had the small comforts of home that we needed and the morning breakfast was wonderful. Dan had coffee going bright and early and my fella, who's a coffee connoisseur, loved the brew.

Lovely Stay with a few Disappointments

They thought of everything!  Every detail, from the iPhone charger to the remote control candles....this place has it all. It felt like a high-end resort while being in a comfortable, quiet suite.  Not super fancy but way above average.  Located just outside of town with a spectacular view of the mountains, it is is rural enough to be quiet and close enough to enjoy the bustling town of Leavenworth.  The breakfast was amazing, the owners were friendly without being nosy or invasive.  I will definitely go back!  Oh, and they have the most adorable miniature horses!

What a wonderful B&B just outside Leavenworth, WA.  Dan and Lori are charming hosts who make you feel right at home from the moment you meet them to time to leave.  The rooms are charming, clean with everything you need with access to a common lounge area for coffee, tea, water.  And then there is the most scrumptious breakfast beautifully served.  Lori's sausage pop ups and french toast were amazing.  We can't wait to return.

Delightful and Cozy Escape

This beautiful modern home dispels all your ideas of a stuffy old B&B with its clean decor & up to date technology but keeps the spirit of old fashioned hospitality with wonderful owners. Located just minutes from downtown Leavenworth, you're in a quite upscale neighborhood, avoiding the crowds of town in a beautiful mountain setting. Our early morning walk took us past horses and apple/pear orchards along with estate homes. The owners are friendly & outgoing, eager to share their love of the area with you. They provide excellent lists of local recommendations. Our room was very large & modern, with a large TV, a cozy wall fireplace & our window looked out onto their beautiful grounds (a love of gardening lives here). There's a big shared living room for guests with sink/refrigerator, cozy seating & large screen TV & music & deck/patio with seating to enjoy the outdoors. Breakfast was delicious - homemade banana bread, fruit, eggs & I can't remember all of it because we were enjoying talking to the owners and the other couple at the table! Lori & Dan are great hosts & you will love their home!
