Dude at front desk said to park at 2nd  handicap spot bc lot was full and it was late . I come out to a $338 ticket at 8am…. The manager and employee took zero responsibility and hung up on me . .F THIS PLACE !!!!

THIS PLACE IS A JOKE !!!!

Tried to book a Motel 6 in Bakersfield and some how reservations booked us in Lebec when I found out the error on the same day I called and was assured by reservations that my reservation was cancelled and I would not be charged for the motel 6 in Lebec. My friend also called to be sure and was also assured reservation was cancelled in Lebec as we had then booked in Bakersfield. Checked my bank two days later and found they had not cancelled the reservation in Lebec and there was $300.00 Canadian charged to my credit card. Still trying to sort this out but not having much luck. They seem to think that the rooms were not cancelled but we were assured twice that they were. Would recommend DO NOT deal with these people at all!

Terrible service

What a disgusting place to stay. I wouldn’t stay here for free. Both the sink and tub were clogged. The room was dirty.  I used a towel to wipe water off the floor and it was dark brown from all the filth. The walls had gross stuff on them. The carpet in the hallway is stained and had tears. The motel outside and inside smells off dog urine.

Absolutely Disgusting!

Please DO NOT stay here. It's difficult to find lodging that accepts dogs but I decided to give this place a try on a road trip to San Francisco as I was excited to visit family with my pooch. The first thing I noticed was how poorly maintained my room was but all I needed was a place for my dog and I to get some sleep. Next I realized that the exit door near my room did not lock. That gave me an uneasy feeling because the motel is very close to I-5 and next to a truck stop. Anyone could have pushed the door open. And the staff acted as though it was no problem and would even make it easier for their guests to come and go. But the worst problem was that when I woke in the morning, I noticed two ticks - yes, you heard it, ticks - on the headboard. I hurried out of bed to check my dog and there on the top of his head were a cluster of small ticks. On further inspection, I found many more. Getting them all off took close to an hour. Like I always do at any hotel/motel, I had put the bedspread on the floor. I picked the bedspread up and shook it on to the bed and was totally disgusted when at least 20 ticks fell on to the sheet. I rounded as many of them up as I felt comfortable doing, flushed them down the toilet, and hurried out of the room. Of course, on my way out I told the woman at the front desk. She totally dismissed me and actually accused my dog of bringing the ticks in to her "fine establishment". I assured her that somebody's dog brought them in but it wasn't my dog. Because I was enroute to visit my six year old grandson, I had him groomed the day before and there were no ticks. I also give him a monthly tick treatment which I'd done only three days before and I have my yard treated for ticks every month. Of course, in my haste to leave that room I had not taken photographs. I was not expecting to be reimbursed but hoped they'd at least apologize and assure me they'd have their staff do a more thorough cleaning job and treat the rooms that they allow dogs in between guests. I was totally disgusted not only by this infestation but by the attitude of the Motel 6 staff. Needless to say, this completely ruined our vacation as I could not take the chance that we'd take ticks in to my son's home. Since getting home, I've had to spend a lot of time and money insuring that my home, auto, and dog are as tick free as they were when I left on our trip one week ago.  Lastly, the property itself had garbage all around the grounds and garbage cans and cigarette butt containers were overflowing. Please DO NOT stay here. There has to be some other option.

Just a basic dungeon like hotel. Dog kibble on the floor of room. We don't have a dog with us. Maybe they don't vacuum?  Creepy place. At night would be a great place to score meth and hookers. Imagine the Meth helps people stay alert driving. Not a fan

The room I was given was tiny and dated. It was a non-smoking room but wreaked of smoke. I wanted to try and get some sleep and just get out. The evening front desk woman was wearing a mask, in the morning housekeeping and front desk staff were not wearing masks. It is a hotel where men doing local construction are staying longterm.

Would not stay again

It smells very smoky, the tv didn’t work and we spent 45 mins trying to figure it out. The luggage cart has flat tires , no coffee or continental breakfast , the lighting in the room is very insufficient and there’s no shampoo in the bathroom.

No frills stay

Staff very helpful and nice.  This hotel is going through a very good revamping.  Room was clean.  TV new & good.  Bed & bedding new. Bath modern, could use shampoo & hair dryer each room. Did  have new microwave & frig----could have small dress MUST HAVE coffee maker---

Getting better

I stay at many motels/hotels across the country for work.  I had a few days to kill and just needed a bed and some sleep.  Day 1:  perfect, slept like a baby, bed just right, although pillows are terrible (to hard for me).  Now during this COVID mess, don't plan to get coffee at Pilot (down the way) after 5pm.  Day 2:  Jam session moved in next door and got louder and louder.  Finally called front office at 8pm to have them just reduce the volume, no need to turn off even though not my kind of music.  Front desk acted promptly and jam was reduced to tolerate level, for a bit.  At 11pm had to talk to desk again, new person, music stopped.  Bed time, woo hoo!!  Didn't mind them jamming, just needed to hear my TV and do some computer work.  Now to the room.  Had a King room.  Large room had small desk, small couch with table, fridge and microwave.  Even an iron and hair dryer if needed.  Water pressure good.  Loved the comforter (weighted) not the standard Motel6 coverings, carpet on floor.  This is a nice place, clean rooms, felt safe.  Window has wood type blinds.  Window opened for some fresh air too!  This is in same parking lot as Pilot truck stop, so some shady folks can hang around the truck stop but in 8 years of stopping in the area twice a month, I've never had any trouble.  I've stayed at this Motel6 before and have never had a bad experience.  It's far enough away from the city so prices are good. Took away 1 star because they do NOT have a guest laundry.  They do have an elevator.  Within walking distance, Wendy's and Pilot truck stop.  On same exit Chinese, Jack's, Carquest Auto Parts and a repair shop.  If you drive into town (about 5 minutes or so) up the road to left - pizza joint and various shops.  Will stay here again.

Nice place, Rooms clean and large

My family never flies we always road-trip and while we can't afford to pay for a mid-scale hotel staying at Motel six's are generally safer than sleeping in the car. About a year ago we had a particular experience that was rather frightening though, my dad went to rent a room while my mom, sisters and I waited in the car as per usual. He had his back turned to pay for the room when someone came up behind him with a knife and tried to rob him, he of course worried about us pulled his licensed and registered firearm and told him to back up which the robber did. WE then got kicked out even though my dad already paid and he was just protecting us and himself. I understand the right to refuse service and if the attendant didn't feel safe then i suppose i understand although i don't agree. Flash forward to our most recent stay, we know that there are bad people everywhere and we didn't blame the situation on the hotel so of course we came back as well as there aren't many other affordable options as its the middle of nowhere. However, when we went to rent the room they would not sell one to us as we had been blacklisted, they said we were on a list and banned from that location for life. When we asked what the reason was they said that it was due to damages to a room which is absolutely not true as not only did we not actually stay there but we have never caused damages at any hotel we've stayed at as we drive straight from Washington and crash as soon as we get in the room after 14 hours of driving. I do not feel as though we should be punished for protecting ourselves and the blatant lie makes us wonder if they were in on it as its curious that they "didn't notice" the guy coming up behind my dad.
