Booked rooms here for Parents’ Weekend at our kid’s school. Reservation process required prepayment via PayPal which I did. When our plans changed, I cancelled reservation by phone well within the posted policy and was told that refund would issue. 
That was the last time I heard from these crooks. No calls or emails answered. I had to contest the charge on PayPal and they never responded there either. More than a month it took to move through that process and get my over $400 refunded.

These people are crooks! Be very careful!

I don’t agree with the negative revues posted. Our room (101) was large, very clean with all of the usual mod cons - fridge, microwave, TV, hair dryer etc. Bed was king size and very comfortable. No bathtub but shower had reasonable water pressure.
Virtual check-in lacked reassurance of a real person behind the counter but it worked OK for me although I could foresee circumstances that might be problematic.
Overall good value for the money. Don’t be put off by the naysayers.

Good value for money

Never, never stay here. From check in to run away, this was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. Check in was a laugh. I had to call the phone number taped over the doorbell and explain why we were there. At 2:50pm, we were told we would receive a call back when the room was ready. It was supposed to be ready at 3:00pm. Of course, we never received a call back but at 3:10 we went back to finally be allowed to enter the office. We were greeted by a voice that asked for id and a credit card and a PIN number from the reservation email which I did not have. Ok, after a few minutes the disembodied voice found our reservation and we were allowed to go to the room. The room was awful. Brown water in the toilet, stained sheets on the bed, wallpaper peeling in the bathroom. Rust stains in shower, dust on the moldings. I could go on forever. Very happy to be out of there!

Don’t stay here.

Absolutely disgusting.  From the cobwebs in the corners, to ants in the bathroom,
To the cigarette burns and smell on the carpet, this place is a dump.  The pool, we’ll forget that, unless you’re a frog and like a swamp.  The main office is staffed by a camera and you check yourself in and there is no help. The ice machine was broken. I’ve never been so grossed out to stay somewhere 

Motel Dump

The stay we had with them was pretty amazing. They met our expectations. Their staff on the phone was accommodating as well as the housekeeper and the room is clean. There were also a lot of restaurants nearby that you can choose from. Conveniently located near everything. Highly recommended for business or vacation-related stays. Hoping to stay with them again!

A unique way of checking in, new experienced unlocked! wonderful experienced and the guy over the phone was really kind and respectful. We enjoyed our stay even for a short period of time. We will definitely go back and recommend this place. the location is perfect and very peaceful. almost a perfect stay can't wait till we get back. Perfect staycation

My mom and I visited the town of Lee for 3 nights, and we chose to stay at Pilgrim inn because of its great location to all the must-see places. This hotel was indeed as lovely as it promised to be by the reviews and the descriptions of various booking sites. The best experience. We left Lee with the best memories. Thank you for the new experienced!

When we made the reservation, we were assured that we would get a room on the first floor, as my wife is handicapped. We were put on the second floor and told there were no rooms available on the first. After a short argument they found us a room on the first.
The motel was in the area we wanted and the bed was very comfortable. But the room was dark and the lights were not much help if you have trouble at night going to the bathroom. Amenities were just enough, but the soap/shampoo/conditioner dispenser in the shower was empty. The TV was difficult to use and limited in channels. The whole place needs small cosmetic repairs.
There is a nice looking swimming pool there but it was much to cold this time of year.

Only if you can't get a room somewhere else

The room was good and the bathroom was clean and tidy. great deal and perfect location. Everything from the check-in process through the entire night was great and very responsive staff.   I would definitely recommend staying in!

I visited the motel. I was shown 1 room, which they said is larger than most. It looked clean and was spacious. It was $250 for a Saturday night!  I found a clean, smaller room at Econolodge for $140.  Did not stay at Pilgrim.

Strange experience- There was no one at the desk.   I called out.  No one was around.  I phoned the number on a sign at the desk.  A gentleman answered.  I asked if I could see a room.  He indicated a plastic card and a device where I could swipe it and code it for Room 110.  He stayed on the line while I walked to the room, and looked it over, speaking with me on the phone .  I returned to the office, returned the key to the basket, and left.  I never saw anyone.  I was not allowed to see any other rooms.
