First, this place is adequate.  It provides a cheaper option for the area.  It certainly needs a refurbishing but I know that can eat into profits.  The room was clean, AC amazingly quiet and efficient.  Plenty of parking.  Didn't use pool but it was open.

Needs a hug

Every now and then we look for clean and cheap. We found that here at the Lenox Inn. It enabled us to spend almost an entire week attending performances at Tanglewood without breaking the bank. The motel is old. It might need a facelift. But the AC worked, the beds and bathroom were spotlessly clean and mid week cost was $55 a night. The hosts were gracious. For that price one cannot complain.

Clean and cheap

We were disappointed to arrive and find the pool drained and draped in a tarp. Maybe by next summer it will be renovated? I would have given it a higher rating if the pool had been open, as it's always been in past years.
We've stayed here many times, partly because it's one of the more reasonably priced places near Tanglewood but mainly because of the unbeatable location right by Guido's Fresh Market, Mazzeo's restaurant, a spotless coin laundry, the CVS drugstore, and both Price Chopper and Stop & Shop grocery stores.
In-room amenities include a good quality hair dryer, a mini-fridge and a microwave. Bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and skin lotion.

Pool is closed

Last minute with 4th of July overpricing. Booking.com gave a decent rating for this motel with pool.
Well..pool not opened and wont be. Gouging price and small, dismal  room was dissapointing. Toiletries included 4 mini-skinny bars of  soap.. period. Martresses covered with plastic. 4oz cups of tepid coffee and a couple of package type mini muffins didn't add cheer.

Our mistake for not researching better.

Nice Name.. Not So Nice Game

I have never experienced anything like this before.  In a word, we checked in and then checked out immediately.  To their credit, they gave me a full refund.  The room was disgusting with dirt and a mold & mildew smell.  No mention that pool was closed when we booked.

DON'T DO IT

Excellent location and love the property's layout with the backyard swimming pool. The rooms include all the essentials such as hair dryer, mini fridge, microwave, free WiFi. However, the carpets, draperies, walls, mattresses, plumbing fixtures are all getting to be pretty badly worn. I hope they are saving up for a round of renovations because the place does need it.
I've categorized it as a "budget" hotel even though in the Berkshires during the summer season all hotel rates are relatively high.

Needs a facelift

Came for a quick weekend stay.  Place was clean but rooms were a bit musty.  The rooms were clean and beds comfortable.  Owners were very accommodating.  If you are looking for a place to crash at a reasonable price this place fits the bill.

Good for the price

We needed lodgings for one night and came to the Lenox Inn. It is close to town and super clean and inexpensive. It is a hot day and to my delight there is a great pool in the back which is adjacent to a wooded area. Nice folks run it also. Very happy we came here.

Fine Lenox motel

We had non refundable room rates for the weekend but needed to change to earlier in the week.  They graciously allowed us to change the date.  Room was very clean.  Had a huge king bed.  I would definitely recommend this motel to anyone staying in the area.  Price was great also.  Very friendly staff.

2 Night Stay

this is nothing fancy but close to all the sights..clean and quiet..

We were there to start planning a wedding at a nearby venue.
There was a refrigerator and a microwave and there seemed to be coffee available in the reception area.  We went exploring and found a great place for breakfast nearby.

It reminded me of motels I stayed in as a kid.
