A lovely place to stay. A warm welcome and a great room with all amenities you could wish for. You are made to feel that the place is your home while you are there. A cosy sitting room/library, coffee on tap at all times and wonderful home made cookies! Superb breakfast, the Eggs Benedict were absolute perfect! Highly recommended.

Home from home.

We stayed at the Garden Gables as part of a road trip, and we enjoyed it very much. We stayed in the old part of the house and had a most interesting and comfortable room. All the facilities were good. The breakfasts were great and the blueberry pancakes the best ever 😋 . We were made most welcome and it is a great location for visiting the area. Fully recommend and thank you to the team for making a memorable stay. 

An enjoyable stay

What a find, this Inn was the perfect place to stay for our visit to the Berkshires. The team lead by Jennifer and Laura are very attentive and are only to happy to assist with anything.

The cottages are lovely and spacious. They are away from the main house which make them very quiet, but within 20 seconds walk you are in the main house.

The breakfast is superb, many delicious options to start your day with.

The Inn is closer to touring roads which enable you to get on the road quickly  to any destination in the Berkshires.

A big thank you to team at Garden Gables, we will be recommending you to everybody.

Bucolic Paradise in Lenox

The property is extremely well kept. The gardens are beautiful. The rooms are spotless. There is a choice of pillows. The toiletries provided are first rate (L'Occitane). The delicious breakfasts are made to order. The property is very convenient to nearby venues, as Tanglewood and Shakespeare and Company; it is walking distance to excellent Lenox restaurants. 
Most important of all, all there are friendly and helpful, from the manager and assistant manager to the breakfast servers. 
There was only one downside -- the swimming pool is beautiful, but difficult for senior citizens with leg issues to access. 
My wife and I will definitely return to Garden Gables.

Friendly, Well Maintained, Convenient

Overall wonderful place! Nice rooms, good amenities, delicious food, service top rate! We come back every year because we feel so welcome and comfortable here. Only drawback is the price. But as my son likes to say, “You get what you pay for.” This one is worth the price.

Wonderful place!

I stayed at the inn with several friends for a multi-day bicycle trip. Everything about the inn and staff was first-rate. ( some problems with wifi, but not their fault and a truly minor inconvenience ).
All day snacks and coffee!
Beautiful fireplace and sitting room to relax, patio area is well appointed.
The staff working breakfast was wonderful, cheerful and helpful. Food was excellent.
Check in and check out was flawless and extremely accommodating. 
The innkeepers are perfectly pleasant, helpful and make the stay very easy and relaxing.
Short, easy walk to town. Short drive to Tanglewood and lots of nearby museums.
GREAT cycling in the area as well.


Great stay at Garden Gables Inn- I would stay again and hope to

The innkeepers gave us a friendly, informative tour and came twice afterwards to answer specific questions about the room.  The grounds were lovely and quiet, the parking was adequate, the breakfasts amazing with gluten and dairy-free options.  The staff did me the favor of finding and securing some clothes I left behind until I could return several days later to retrieve.  The staff were all available on the spur-of-the-moment with information and friendly suggestions. The town of Lenox is charming and we sampled several excellent restaurants within walking distance of Garden Gables.
 Personally I would've preferred to have a dedicated desk with device plug-ins rather than an end table with complimentary bottles of water.  Also, the internet wifi connection was inconsistent.  The attractively designed pebble paths leading to some of the rooms are nonetheless cumbersome to navigate with luggage.  I was surprised when the towels in our room were changed on the second day even tho a conspicuous sign in the bathroom specifically states that towels will be changed only upon request.  This is to save time and the environment.  I'm definitely onboard with that philosophy and practice.  So I was disappointed and annoyed upon returning to the inn the second afternoon to find our room had been entered when we weren't expecting it and all our towels replaced with new.  Later I had to ask for more wash clothes because the ones we had been using were taken but not replaced.  We were giving up precious shelf and cabinet space to an abundance of thick, fluffy bath towels that we had no use for.  There were between 5 and 8 newly laundered, unused towels in our room over the course of our four-day stay.  The pillows were too soft for me and the wall heater made a distinctive hum.  
I'm aware that most will find some of my impressions too picky and I can understand.  Still, I wanted to give an honest review, which can only be described from the experience of the writer.  For me that includes both the pleasant,  satisfying experiences I had and the ones I wish had been different.

Garden Gables worth a visit

My wife and I spent a 50th wedding anniversary break here in early March.  March is a very quiet time for tourists.  Walking was beautiful in snow covered woods, don't miss the Clark Institute in Williamstown.  The Inn has an interesting history, excellent accommodation / service, a FANTASTIC breakfast.  We got caught in a Nor’easter, enjoyed the snowshoeing and the General Manager was amazingly kind and helpful to us.  Lenox has excellent restaurants.

50th anniversary stay

The Green Gables staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast was outstanding. We were walking distance to town. The inn ambiance and our room was lovely. Strongly recommend. Looking forward to returning!

Wonderful stay!

My wife and I just completed a lovely 3 night stay at Garden Gables, just before Thanksgiving, and had a wonderful time. It was our first visit, but we'll definitely return. Our room was charming and very comfortable, equipped with fridge, Keurig and a working fireplace. The innkeeper, Victoria, was able to answer all of our questions cheerfully and skillfully, and as a native was able to give knowledgeable recommendations about a wide variety of local restaurants and sights. The inn is just a block or two to downtown stores and restaurants. 

Breakfast was great, with a menu offering 8 or 10 different choices, and the inn is very happy to accommodate special dietary requests. The main floor of the inn features a cozy library, complementary snacks and drinks at all times, and at night we used the breakfast room as a convenient place to eat takeout food, rather than in our room.

The owners also own a local apple cidery and winery about 15 minutes away, which makes apple cider, "hard" cider, wine, and fresh, hot cider doughnuts. (As a guest of the inn, we were given 6 doughnuts at no charge, and a 20% discount on our other purchases.) 

At least in the cottage where we stayed, #17, WiFi access was hit-or-miss. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. We had an important Zoom meeting during our stay, and that went smoothly from the inn's library. 

We look forward to our next visit, and recommend it most highly. Every detail was perfect.
