Sister weekend!  We loved the room!  It was slightly out of the 50’s, but with the most comfortable beds and great bathroom! Perfect location and good restaurant on site.  I will always stay there in future visits!  Very friendly staff!!

Perfect location, great room!

Nice hotel right in old town Lewes in historic building.  Great place to stay if exploring Lewes and nearby Cape Henlopen State Park.  Rooms are nicely updated and clean, as was bathroom.  Staff was nice.   Windows can be opened which is a nice alternative to the air condition.  There is very limited hotel parking, but we did snag one of those spots for our one night stay.  Only complaint is that those old brick walls are not the most soundproof; could hear the person snoring in the next room.  

Nice Historic Hotel in Old Town

Wonderful experience! Centrally located it town. Historic hotel with all the old charms. Amazing staff…above-and-beyond friendly. Nice little pub attached to the hotel. Elevator is as old as the hotel…pull-door to open then slide back an antique gate to get in and out. I choose the stairs. Will be staying again.

Charming hotel with amazing staff!

One bedroom light not working; toilet water entering cistern non-stop.  Bar and restaurant closed on the day we were there, so sent down the road to a hotel in the same group.  This eatery had a small menu and a few things unavailable.

Sort of trip needs more options.  I have put "Friends" to get the review accepted; it was actually carer and client.

Very good reception.  Not so good in other ways.

We booked our 'celebration guests' from Dubai, Germany and USA into 6 rooms at historic Hotel Rodney (after looking at nearby alternatives). Its location, perfectly centered in lovely Lewes, was ideal...  quaint shops, restaurants and touristic sights literally just out our door. Three excellent breakfast spots steps away...
Our rooms were comfortable & immaculate, the staff cheerful, friendly & helpful.
The tiny, antique elevator worked fine for us older couples; our youthful guests used the sweeping  stairway (only 2 floors above the pleasant lobby). A fun stay  ;-)

Charm, Character & Comfort...Centered in Scenic Lewes!

The tiny beach town of Lewes has now become a huge retirement community and pretty vacation beach resort oriented without vacation beach resort facilities. The Hotel Rodney is in a historic building, across the street from the historic Episcopal church, and pretty much right in the center of town for anything you want to eat or drink or see. 
Free parking and only a short drive to the beach. 
The rooms, at least ours which was 207, are quite cozy for the price. You could just walk around the queen size bed and the bathroom had a nice shower but was equally snug. The staff is very sweet but it is pretty much the only game in the center of town.

Very central to historic Lewes

We just visited The Hotel Rodney and couldn't be happier. We were greeted promptly at the front desk after getting a parking spot right outside the door. The amenities and shops, bar and restaurant were such a pleasant experience. We loved our room which featured a gorgeous tub and the bathroom was very spacious. The rooms are decorated very nicely and I will definitely say the bed was comfortable as well. We can't wait to return. Definitely an  amazing experience and our new special place.

Absolutely Love The Rodney Boutique Hotel

Hotel Rodney is a quaint historic hotel with modern amenities. The hotel is very clean and comfortable and the staff was extremely accommodating. We took advantage of the downtown location to walk to dinner, check out a couple shops and have drinks. I would highly recommend this hotel and will certainly stay there again when I return to Lewes.

Friends get together

Spent 2 nights here on a "girls" getaway. It is a great historic hotel In a central location. Easy to walk to restaurants & cute shops on the main street & short drive to the beach. Hotel has friendly, accommodating staff & is clean & well maintained. We look forward to going back next year.

Wonderful historic hotel !

We were trying to find a room for the night after an awful experience in Ocean City MD.  We stopped by a neighboring hotel and they were booked up and recommended the Hotel Rodney,  We got lucky and they had one room available.  We jumped at the opportunity.  Everyone there was so pleasant and the hotel reminded me of some of the older hotels in NYC. Our room was small but more than enough for us and they have bigger rooms available.   It was well maintained and immaculately clean.  Plenty of towels and other room amenities.    I read some people complaining about the parking but it really is not an issue.  The lady that answered when I called warned me about it ahead of time and it was not a big deal at all.  Lewes Delaware is a WALKING town.  There is so much to see and do that no matter where you walk you will see something interesting.  We chose to park a little closer at a meter and with Park Mobile it was super easy.    It is around $1 an hour and between 8pm and 9am it is also free.  

Bottom line is that this hotel and its staff gave us a wonderful experience and I would recommend a stay here to anyone that asks!!!!!
