There is a major addition in progress this Spring and it will be interesting to see the place when it is finished. We live in a 125-year-old house so we felt right at home here for a one-night stay at this house originally built in 1874. 

Nice experience

This bed and breakfast was a great experience it was cozy and comfortable.
The host Jim was really nice and accommodating. Me and my boyfriend had been doing a road trip across the country and this was our last stop before home. It was one of the best places that we stayed on our whole trip. The room we stayed in was very spacious and the hot tub was amazing. We also really liked all of the paintings on the walls. The city of Lincoln was also beautiful. We will for sure be coming back here again. 

Peaceful delight 

We stayed here for our second anniversary for we are still celebrating our honeymoon and that will probably never slow down.  Jim was as accommodating as owners can be.  He served a breakfast that would rival any 5 star hideaway resort.  The room had the kind of character reserved for buildings built by hands, not machines.  The walls where 12 inches thick.  The placed was etched in time by the paintings, furniture and tapestries left behind a time that was more coveted than what we have today.  As my wife said when we left, "It was worth twice the price".  We left a generous tip.

A step back in time.

This was our fourth stay at this former poor farm.  The bed is comfy and the privacy afforded you in this B&B is appreciated.  As always the breakfast was great.  Go ahead and book a stay-you will not be disappointed. 

4rth and Counting 

I was trying to find a nice place to stay close to where we were currently on the road as we were ready to stop for the day .
I pulled up Lincoln and found the westviiew 
And I am so glad I did
Jim was an excellent host

Rooms are fully stocked with complimentary snacks and drinks of all kinds .Breakfast was AMAZING...great beds .. beautiful bathrooms.. quiet and peaceful grounds ..
The price was unbelievable..

Charming

Our, and hopefully soon to be for your host Jim has consistently not disappointed. From the ease of reservation to the ease of communication about the specifics of the stay, to the delicious gourmet in-room breakfast, to over-stocked fridge complete with ice cream in the freezer to the plethora of in-room snacks, to the jacuzzi tub to the comfy bed - oh and did I mention the breakfast?  We have stayed in multiple B&B's around the country in our 27 years of marriage and Westview ranks at the top! 

From the rural quiet sitting (and only 10 minutes to downtown Lincoln) to the rich history of this location you need to make this on of your B&B stops while in Nebraska. 

Just finished our 3rd stay here! 

We stayed in the Sunset room on our anniversary. The room is very large with a full living room, kitchen and sitting porch. They are in the process of new management and had a sweet lady by the name of Jill cooking breakfast and serving us. She was a delightful person and did a great job. The breakfast was nothing fancy, but appreciated. The stay was quiet and peaceful. Our overall experience was fantastic!  If you want to get away and have time to yourself, this is a step back in history.

Anniversary Stay

We stayed here during an incredibly busy time as there was huge concert in town. Jim and Angela were very accommodating and kind despite the rush they had to tend to. The bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast was out of this world! Thank you for a great weekend:)

Beautiful Place, Accommodating Staff

Overall, it was a good place to stay, but at the same time, I have some mixed feelings about it. The bed & pillows were comfortable and clean, the candies, snacks, sodas, and water were greatly appreciated. We inquired about a local place to eat and were given detailed directions on how to find it. We almost needed a jump start and Angela was quick to jump in and help.

We booked for a specific room, but it wasn't cleaned by the time we arrived (just after 7pm) so we were given a different room. There were a few cobwebs on the ceiling, otherwise all was clean. The room had a window a/c unit, but it didn't work well and was aimed in the snack area vs. the bedroom, so the room stayed warmer than we would have liked it. We were told we could eat in the room, in the dining room, or outside on the patio. The patio table had not been cleaned in quite some time, so that was out of the question. We ended up eating in our room. 

Breakfast was 20 minutes late but was absolutely delicious and filling, totally worthy of a bed & breakfast stay. The jetted tub worked great and we appreciated all the little amenities like bathrobes, extra shampoo & conditioner, body wash, lotion, etc. 

All in all, we would go back if we were ever in the area again.

Interesting B&B

The place did not live up to it's reviews or photos. There were no snacks in the public rooms or in our room. The dishwasher was out of order, there were no laundry facilities. There were bare wires in the ceiling where the ceiling fan used to be. Missing towel bar in the bathroom. Framing around the bathroom door not finished. There was a nasty smell coming from the kitchen sink. Breakfast was late the first day. When we returned from sight seeing the dishes were still sitting there. We placed the dishes on the the public room table and they sat there till the afternoon of the second day. The second day we were told there would be no breakfast because the owner was "tired". No breakfast on the third day either. No housekeeping and we ran out of toilet paper and bath towels. There is a kitchen off the public room that is used as storage. The grounds are a mess with weeds, stacked chairs, tables, cast off vehicles, piles of stones, construction material and a trailer that someone is living in. Very disappointing. The place must have been beautiful at one time.
