Iris and Rafi are wonderful hosts. The house is charming and well maintained.  The area interested us because of the Columbia bike trail and the hiking. We had excellent weather for these outdoor activities and enjoyed the terrain as well as the fall foliage. We stayed in the blue room that was both charming and comfortable. The propeety is peaceful which lends itself to be relaxing.  Rafi made us a fire in the fire pit which we enjoyed.  We ate at BYOB restaurants that our hosts recommended and had delicious meals. We hope to return to this area ssoon and stay at this gem of a BnB.

Girls Getaway

The Neighbour House B&B is tucked away in northwest NJ near Hackettstown where I have family that I was visiting. I knew I would have to work and have zoom meetings during my stay so I was looking for something away from traffic and city noises. I couldn't have picked a more outstanding place. This historic home has only four guestrooms and the first night I was there I had the place to myself. Others joined me by the second night but I never would have known they were there if I hadn't run into them during the breakfast hours. The owners, Rafi and Iris, were incredibly accommodating, visible when they needed to be and keeping to themselves otherwise. I never felt overwatched but somehow one or the other was always there when I had a question about something. They were able to recommend several nice places to eat, and provide some interesting info about the surrounding area. I would definitely stay there again when I go to visit my family in the future.

Wonderful & Quiet Stay

We had a delightful 2 night stay at this hidden gem. Comfortable beds, clean and charming. We were made to feel right at home and definitely recommend this place for a relaxing, retreat like feel. The owners are beyond accommodating and the location is dreamy.

A Peaceful Place

4 high school friends attending our 40th high school reunion stumbled upon this B&B on trip advisor. We snatched up all 4 rooms and so happy we did!  Iris and Rafi were impeccable hosts. Everything was very clean and our every need was attended to.  Would highly recommend and hope I get to visit again!

Fantastic Find

We needed a comfortable place to stay for a girls’ weekend that was nearby our high school reunion venue. The rooms were cozy and had all the necessities like great beds, hot water, strong a/c, plenty of outlets. We had the whole house to ourselves. The outdoor area is beautiful and we even had a huge fire pit to sit around late into the evening. The hosts provided a perfect continental breakfast. If you’re looking for a comfortable, convenient place to stay in the Long Valley area, don’t hesitate to book here.

Felt like home! The perfect place for a girls’ weekend and our high school reunion.

I have stayed at the Neighbor House on three separate occasions in the past six months and have enjoyed each and every visit.  After stressful days spent working a few miles away I would return to the warmth of this special B and B and instantly feel relaxed and at home.  The comfort of the rooms cannot be overstated, from the extremely comfortable beds and the cozy bedding to the spotless bathrooms.  What an amazing find.  Iris and Rafi share their beautifully appointed home and welcome guests with supreme hospitality.  I highly recommend the Neighbour House and hope to return soon.

A Beautiful Oasis in Rural New Jersey

This is the most gorgeous, warm, welcoming, and clean bed and breakfast I’ve ever stayed in. I have been staying at this b&b for a couple times a year for the past four years to visit where I grew up, and it always feels like home! The town of Long Valley is especially magical in the fall, and the grounds of this b&b don’t disappoint. The falling leaves, mountain views , horses, proximity to farms, and nearby Columbia trail make it the best fall destination. They are one of the few homes in town that still have amazing well water not city water, so I always bring my reusable water bottle for hikes, but whenever I forget to bring it, there’s water bottles conveniently in the room for only a dollar. There is also wonderful WiFi indoors and out, so you can work from home (vacation) here. Iris and Rafi are the best hosts, they are always there to greet you with a smile, give wonderful food and activity suggestions, and will even put a bonfire up for you in the backyard. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable, and I love how COVID-19 safe they are with the individually wrapped breakfast items and masks in the common spaces. Thank you for keeping your guests and beautiful town safe!

Special Country Home Get-A-Away

A dear friend passed away and we were looking for a comfortable and nurturing place to stay nearby, as we came to the area for her Memorial.  We discovered this treasure of a home away from home.  The house is historically decorated, made comfortable both inside and out.  We loved sitting out on the back porch and watching the horses in the paddocks behind the property.  
Our bedding was fresh and made for a very sweet night's sleep.  We woke early and walked along the property and then enjoyed a delicious breakfast.
Iris and Rafi make you feel right at home with their warmth and hospitality.

Divine respite

night away from home! Iris and Rafi were very welcoming.  The Long Valley area is so beautiful.  Iris was helpful informing us of areas of interest and places to dine. Will definitely go back and stay longer next time! Oh, the baked goods at breakfast were so yummy!
