Please informed that the website for Los Fresnos Inn and Suites does not provide the ability to cancel a reservation.  I called and sent an email to the Los Fresnos Inn and Suites but received no response.  I called again last week and finally spoke to somebody that said not to worry about it when I asked him for a confirmation email.  I did not receive a confirmation.  Today, I received an email from the hotel reminding me that I have an upcoming reservation.  Again, I called.  I asked the lady that answered the phone for her name for my records.  She refused to give me her name.  I told her I needed to cancel the reservation and she said she had no record of such a reservation.  I can only assume that someone finally canceled the reservation.  Hopefully, they don't charge my credit card for the 3 night stay.  I'm just advising to be cautious.

Cancellation of reservation

This very accommodating family-owned motel saved us from personal disaster during the present weather-related crisis in Texas.  We were able to secure the very last available motel room in our area, which prevented these Winter Texans from having to sleep in our car for 3 days. Saved By the Room

I highly recommend everyone to stay elsewhere. The owner of this place was a complete jerk. I had made my reservations and paid. When we arrived he was insisting that no payment was on file. Instead of addressing the situation in a calm and polite manner, he became hostile and when we reciprocated he threaten my family with police and stated, “I don’t want you people”. We are of Hispanic descendant. We left and stayed at HolidayInn instead. It was worth the extra money as opposed to giving it to this uncouth, rude, arrogant, impatient, goof! Why make this person profitable. Upon arrival we noticed this place was generic and poorly maintained. Great thing we did not stay there!

Owner is a jerk!

Reservations found by friendly front desk staff. Checked in & got key early even though room wasn’t cleaned yet which worked for me because I was going to a rodeo/concert and would be getting back to room very late. Clean! Comfortable bed. Nice shower head. Lots of hot water at good temperature. Lots of places to plug in phones, CPAP machines and laptops. Plenty of room for suitcases and any other gear you might have. Refrigerator working/cold. Ceiling fan PLUS great air conditioner which is vital in southern Texas :-)

Solid Value Small Inn

We were looking for a place to stay that didn't cost a lot. This place is economical and took pets. They have nice clean rooms and a nice breakfast area. Having a refrigerator and microwave was a nice added feature.   Will stay again.

Vacation

We had a wonderful stay, Dave and his staff never fell short. They were very accomidating with oour needsas we were down there hunting for several days with trailers and gear that stayed outside, they never fell short and none of our stuff got messed with. The rooms were cleaned every day, not like some hotels where if you stay for a while they only come in every other day. I would definitely reccomend the Fresnos Inn

Great Place

I recently stayed at this motel during a hunting trip. The room was clean, fridge was cold, and the shower water was hot. I had a two bed room since my brother was on the hunting trip with me. I had no issues while staying here and felt comfortable with my vehicle parked outside that it was safe. I would stay here again if I was in the area.

Nice plase to stay

Quite nice reasonable cost Inn, good location for me. Close to Padre Island and Laguna Atacosa NWR. I suppose the location is not the best for business travellers, but good for holiday, my focus was in nature and birdwatching. Very friendly and helpful guy in reception when checking in. Room was ok, and the pool in the middle of the buildings looks goods, unfortunately no time for that this time. There was some renovation ongoing, causing some noise in the middle of the day (evening and night quite peaceful).

Holiday trip one night

This  hotel  has  good  points--a good  mattress, choice  of  two  queens  or a  king  size  bed, and a jacuzzi  if you  choose  the king. Our  room  had a mini microwave  and refrigerator. There  was  no coffee  maker, but  the clerk  offered  to  supply  one when  my husband  asked.
It  also has some  negative  points: a bit  dated  and the  room  needs  painting. When my husband  pointed  out  that  the  fee was $4. higher than  the  posted Expedia quote  , the clerk  said we needed  to  check  the  small  print  because  they  have  a  right  to  increase  the  charge  if they  want  to . The  man actually  wrote  us back  to  say that  if we had booked  directly  with them  and not gone through  Expedia  we could  have  saved   $10 and not  been charged  so much. It was  like  we were  penalized  for  using  Expedia.
There  aren't  many  restaurants  around  except  for  fast  food  options. As I said we stayed  here  because  of  the  location.
