Very clean room, and wonderful people working there.  I had read reviews before staying so I knew about the train tracks that are close by.  The train went past a few times, but it really didn't bother me at all.  
We had a room that overlooked the river, and the tracks.  
There is a fridge and microwave in the room that we didn't use.  We did use the coffee maker and appreciated it came with 2 packs of coffee, good for a total of 4+ cups of coffee. 
The bathroom has an unusual way to divert the water to the shower, and when I checked in, the owner explained how to simply pull down on the spout and it worked flawlessly. 
There is not a lot of restaurants in the town, we got a pizza at the next door bar, and it was acceptable but not great.  
The wifi worked well. 
Overall, I considered it a good to great stay, and glad I picked this place over other other choices. 
Parking was right in front of our door, which is what we wanted as we wanted to avoid stairs.
I did miss having a shelf or bedside table on the "other" edge of the bed, but space is limited in the room we had as it was 2 double beds in the room.

Stop over for 1 night during travels

I'm from Germany and on a bike trip across the USA. Not for the first time. I was a guest here at the River’s Edge Motel with my wife back in 2009. When I stayed here again 14 years later and asked for the room we had back then, I got it without any problems. Great customer service! Friendly, competent and helpful. Highly Recommended. 

Highly recommended!

The room was clean however the air conditioning did not work. When I reported the problem the reply was it is still very hot outside. It was 90 degrees inside the room with the ac running at 11:00 at night. Will not return to this place!!!

Laying in a pool of sweat!

This is the most adorable motel.  Scenics view right on the river.  The owner is the host and most amazing! So sweet and helpful! The beds were comfy and savings over the next closest places was great.  I'm looking forward to planning my trips around staying here! 

Best quiet getaway on the Mississippi.

Great Hotel. Very clean rooms. They are meticulous. Will help you with anything. The owner and staff were extremely helpful and kind. Definitely going to use when in town. Also anytime I needed help I just called. I was out with ankle injury   Owner came anytime I needed anything. Then she helped load the car for me! Now that’s great service! Definitely.5 stars. ⭐️

Best people ever. Really polite and professional. Had a good conversation with them. Will come back. Treated me good and fair. Would recommend over super 8. Weekly rates are affordable and nightly rates also.

Excellent place to stay!

Being in the hotel industry with major franchises it was a pleasant surprise to run across the Rivers Edge motel in Louisiana Missouri. My son was having some car troubles and he stopped at the closest town and was lucky enough to go into the Rivers Edge. The evening desk agent was pleasant and accommodating and put him at ease.
The motel was clean, everything worked and they have the same amenities that all of our other hotels have. Also, it wasn't $250 a night. After being in this industry for several years it was very pleasing to see an independent operator do so well. I had to drive to meet there and I spent the night in the hotel after sending him on the way. The bed was comfortable the water was hot the TV worked and everything else was just what we needed.

Great Clean Independent Motel

Since we arrived at the hotel we were received in a very friendly way, always attentive to the guests,  they make you feel in a family atmosphere. They have a very good cleaning service, if you want to stay in a quiet and accessible place this is the place

Celan rooms, excellent service!

We didn't have any plans or expectations but needed a place for the night and have two dogs. I called ahead got a room and dogs were not an issue. 
Great location overlooking the Mississippi. Very comfortable room and very clean and well maintained. I talked to the owner, a recent transplant from California probably looking for a tranquil change and I suspect they found it.
Louisiana Missouri is a treasure of an old river town. Once very prosperous, fine old homes and friendly people.
We'll be back, thank you!
