Way overpriced! 160 a night-- for what! No breakfast, no pool. And for God's sake you better get out of there before 10am or they will be knocking on your door to check out, thought i saw check out of 11am but apparently not. Only 5 rooms taken and put everyone next to each other, waking you up in the night with the late arrivals. Won't go back. Stay away. Oh dont foget the luxurious soap, shampoo, coffee---NOT!!! Horrible coffee and very cheap soap, shampoo and toilet paper!

Overpriced not worth it!

Great Motel. Must have had a recent Makeover, room was nice and Comfy, I just came in from Offshore, and had to go back out 2 days later, so I got a GOOD Nights rest in a clean room. WIll Stay here again should the need arise. GReat Staff, and Good Rooms- Can't beat it.

Great Experience

Although recently renovated this is a poor choice to stay.  Everything about the refurb was cheap. The place was smelly and had roaches.  Bed was OK but the pillows were your typical car sponge type.  TV continued to loose its feed.  Coffee tasted like it flowed through my boots.   If you are dead tired and need a place to crash, then it will do, but it is way overpriced ($129), should be a $60. 

Roach Motel

Arrived on a cold, windy night, this is a nice place to stay.  

Clean, comfortable, spacious room, good wifi and TV.  Pretty quiet, along there doesn't seem to be much in Cameron, so that's expected I guess.

A little expensive, but not unreasonable.  It's the only game in town.

Nice place to stay

Nice people. Very clean rooms. Spent the night with my family. Would recommend. Cameron is a good close vacation with the two beaches. Holly Beach and Rutherford Beach. Crabbing is also available. Service was good and people are very friendly. Not a 5 star hotel, but a good clean place to stay

Good place to stay

We spent on night here. I thought it was a little overpriced for what we had
 The TV was great it had a big flat screen. The picture was clear. Kept losing picture because of storms in the area. Had trouble with the hot water. Still needs some updates. Staff was good and checkin was quick. It was for the most part quite. Bed was comfortable and had good nights sleep. 
 

Trip south 20190

I stayed at Cameron Motel for business trip, the room was clean and price was affordable.  There are not many other places in the area but this place works if you don't want to drive far. I will be coming back.

Few Nights

My team and I came in to rent a couple rooms late. Staff was friendly and got us situated quickly. The room was ok plenty of space and everything worked. The parking lot had ample room for our trucks.

Not bad for a small town

We stayed here because it's the only motel in Cameron and it's close to everything we went out there to do. We stayed here with a lot of my family and people my husband works with, almost 30 if us all together. Looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend crabbing and the kids swimming and playing, just being. Pfffftttt.......the room was $130 a night, ours was anyways, they were all different priced. When we got in the room,  the air wasn't on, so I plugged it in and there's only 2 settings, off and on. I put it aside. The lamp shade was busted and barely hanging on. I put it aside. The toilet lol, my little girl used it and it wouldn't flush. My husband had to open the top and fish out the chain to make it flush. Other people with us where also having toilet trouble. Took me a l while to put it aside. Just make the best of it. Well the family dollar store is behind the motel, that's a plus right? Yeah if you like squeezing between boxes and things just hanging out in the isles, and digging through boxes of stuff that hasn't been put on the shelves because what you need is all the way in the bottom. Very unorganized and poorly staffed. My kids thought it was fun. As we wrapped up our day and sat outside with friends and family and a cold one or two, I noticed a few vehicles driving in and out and making the block and stareing. This happened several times throughout the night Friday and Saturday night, until we turned in around midnight or so. The first night only one vehicle was stolen from. Buddy, let me tell you, the second night, each and every vehicle was broken into and stolen from. All of the fishing poles, bait, nets, ice chests that were full and empty, bow fishing rigs, castnets, spot lights, they also cut anchors off of the boats. Radar detectors, phone cords, cigarettes and lighters, vaporizers, whatever they could put their hands on from inside the vehicles. They even drank our beer and threw the cans everywhere, then continued to piss where ever and on what ever they wanted. Whole weekend ruined for all. By the way there is only 1 cop and cop car in Cameron. No one got anything back. Next time we are staying in  hackberry only 15 minutes and a ferry ride down the road. On the plus side, the gas station is nice and very hospitable. The restaurant next door is very good. Quick service, friendly people, great atmosphere, delicious food. Bang shrimp burger and poboy and the lemonade are amazing and the price isn't bad at all. So, if you are going to Cameron, don't even think about staying at the Cameron motel. Keep driving!! But slow down after you pass it and eat at the little dinner. Then keep driving. I hope this review helps anyone planning on going out there.  I'm sure that the burglaries happen often and ours wasn't a one time occurrence.

DO NOT STAY HERE,  UNLESS YOU WANT ALL OF YOUR FISHING/HUNTING/ANYTHING THAT'S NOT LOCKED UP IN THE ROOM WITH YOU STOLEN

We rented 2 rooms for the Wildlife and Fur Festival.  Well, the management decided even though we had the room for 2 nights, he would rent it out to someone else.  So, we were stuck with no room and a 3 week old baby out in the cold.  He was very rude!!  I would recommend driving to Hackberry or Lake Charles instead of staying here.  We had no hot water.  The rooms are very run down definitely not worth the $120.00 plus tax!!!
