Okay so yes the place was nice but nobody wants to go on vacation and get treated like a dog this place is way too strict I mean over the top they have security guards that talk hateful to you and down on you over the simplest things my grandma was jumping in the pool accidentally belly flopped and got chewed out because he said she was diving he also made one of our guests cry by beating on the door and screaming at her for smoking off the balcony and when he came to the room she was drinking a wine cooler which she had in her hand when she answered and he asked her to step outside then yelled at her saying no visible alcohol. They also confiscated all of our towels because we went down to the pool area and put our towels out so they won't there once we got done changing into our swimsuits they made. Us park our trailer which was enclosed for luggage 10.mins away then tried to tell us we couldn't even bring it back in the parking lot to load our stuff up come time to leave they were just awful we witnessed them talking hateful to more guests besides us and when we said something about it they said the owners told them to come at guests with attitude whatever never again especially not for the kind of money we spent to stay here not to mention our room was outdated and the 2nd bedroom with the double beds was very dangerous you couldn't walk through the room without banging your foot or your knee or shin on the edge of one of the bed frames we stayed in 307

Very disappointed

This is our 2nd time renting a Condo here and both experiences were great! Joanne at booking was extremely helpful in walking us through the often confusing maze of booking. We reported two small issues upon arrival (leaking faucet etc,) and the next day Amber was going to send maintenance over but we told her the issues were not bothering us. The unit#102 was ground floor perfect and the view was amazing. Some Condos' provide free beach chairs, this unit #102 does not, so watch out for those independent beach chair rental folk about price gouging. Tyler was the best to work with and nice but you do not want Peyton, (he wanted more money per day and left the beach at 9am and came back around 2pm). Other than that, love the Commodore!

Quiet and great location

Our stay at the Commodore was fantastic!! We stayed in #103 which was the ground floor a so perfect to get out to the beach and pool quickly without having to take the time to use the elevators. The building is very clean on the outside, we noticed yard work being done each day making sure it was clean of trash. 

The condo we stayed in had outdated photos, however once we go there we were so surprised they had updated most everything and it looked fantastic! We loved that the Commodore had a guards station to prevent anyone from coming in and loved that it was a bit away from the noise and crowd of more the downtown area. The building is really close to a handful of restaurants/bars and only .25 miles away from St. Andrews park which is fantastic. 

We will definitely be staying at the Commodore again, specifically in #103 which is a 2 BD 2 BA. 

Perfect Spot in PCB!

We rented a 3 bedroom, 3 bath unit (#410) at the Commodore Condominiums in Panama City Beach October 9 through October 16.  The condo was very clean and the bathroom updates were great (although one of the shower doors was missing in the master bath shower and a shower curtain was added); however, the condition of the living room furniture was extremely disappointing.  The sofa, chair, and footstool cushions were disgustingly dirty, especially the seat cushions (to the point of looking black).  We had to cover them with a blanket before we would even sit on them and reversed the seat back cushions to the cleaner side.  The recliner had pieces of “leather” peeling off the back seat back (it was actually faux leather).  If you sat in the chair and moved around at all, the pieces would come off which was also disgusting. Replacement of these pieces of furniture should be a top and immediate priority.  Another major issue was with the clothes dryer.  After drying a load of clothes, we discovered that the filter was not, and could not be, seated correctly with a corner of it protruding from the filter area.  This corner caught one of the straps of a bathing suit top and a strap of another top and ripped the straps off both garments which can no longer be worn nor can they be repaired.  This should also be repaired quickly.  
 
Also, the ice maker did not work nor did we find any ice cube trays so we bought our own.  In addition, the TV remotes did not work (if they were the correct remotes for the TVs – who knew?).  Perhaps the batteries were dead but we were not going to do the management company’s (iTrip Vacations) job and purchase and install new batteries.  Finally, the curtains in the second bedroom will no longer pull back and are starting to come out of the track in the ceiling. 
 
We have been staying at the Commodore since 2001 and stayed in a number of different condos.  In our opinion, shifting of the management of the rentals to iTrip Vacations has not been in the best interest of the traveler.  From the renter’s viewpoint, it seems all they do is take your money and clean the unit and don’t do anything to really look after the unit and the owner’s interests.

Unit 410 at the Commodore Condominiums

Just received message from Orbitz that this condo in currently being upgraded. - Too late for us I'm afraid - Maybe a 2 1/2. Things appear different online than in person. Positive things first. Location good for our needs. Beach access and pool area clean and convenient. Because it is a smaller facility we did not have to wait on elevator for any length of time. Rooms were large and mostly clean. Beds very comfortable. Kitchen well stocked. Appliances all in working order. Balcony and view great. Negative items. We arrived to a wet slick floor which we had to wipe down with the bath towel in order to be safe walking on it. A lot of dirt came off with the excess floor shine. The sliding door handle was broken and hanging by one screw. Not a big deal to us just annoying. What was more of a safety hazard was the 3" tall steel plate running horizontally at the floor when walking out to the balcony. We ended up placing the welcome mat in front of this so we would remember to step over this plate. I get that it's there to keep water out in storms, BUT the tripping hazard is pretty apparent. This is a very poor design. the plate was bent over as if someone stomped it down which didn't help since it was now bent toward the inside. We are older women and falling over this would have been very bad for us. The vertical blinds in front bedroom were inadequate in that one slat was missing and we were unable to close them completely for privacy. Finally hung one of our large beach towels up to cover the window. This was a BIG deal to us! The television in the beach side bedroom was not hooked up correctly and we could not figure out how to make it work. Didn't report it till now. When I reported the issues to the booking company they said maintenance would be there to fix the blinds, which I did not want. I told them they needed to be replaced and we didn't want a maintenance person in our room to do this work. I was offered instead the Sunset Dolphin Cruise to compensate us for the issues we experienced. We accepted this offer since no discount was offered to us for these problems that should have been addressed before charging full price for this condo. I will not book at this facility again. Overall we made the best of things. NO it wasn't perfect, and Yes we were disappointed. I guess I just didn't expect having to deal with such basic problems that could have and should have been fixed before renting this unit out. The unit overall was comfortable and had some good qualities. I hope you will be able to fix these issues for the next visitors to your condo.

Commodore Unit 704 October 4 - 8, 2021

So disappointed in this condo, the unit, and the unit's owner. I knew we were in for trouble long before we arrived. The listing says the unit sleeps 5 adults, but that more could be added for a $300 fee. The owner forced us to submit a list of names in our party (which we thought a bit strange, but ok...). At the time we sent this form, we had 4 adults attending and a 2 year old child. A fifth adult was planning to attend, but did not confirm at the time we sent the form. Later, when we tried to add the 5th adult (prepared to pay the extra $300, mind you) the owner said that we had reached our maximum number of people, and that under no circumstances would anyone else be allowed to stay; and she went so far as to threaten us by saying that a security guard would be checking our ID's when we arrived. Scared of any retaliation, we had to break the news to our 5th member that they would not be able to attend. Keep this in mind for later - only 4 adults and 1 baby went to this condo.

When we arrived, the electronic door lock was malfunctioning, and it took several attempts to unlock the door. We had issues all week with the door lock, and eventually had to replace the batteries by ourselves just to ensure we wouldn't get locked out. 

After we got into the condo, we found several things that were either dirty or broken. Dirty microwave, clogged bathroom sink, and dead roaches in the kitchen. Not taking any chances, we reported these issues to the owner right away. Her solution? She told us to clean the microwave ourselves, and told us to stay in the condo all afternoon to wait for an exterminator that never arrived. 

Additionally, the shower door in the guest bathroom was out of it's track, and there was a crack in one of the drawers in the refrigerator. Unfortunately, we did not report these issues to the owner. As a result of not documenting this, the owner has refused to refund our deposit.

Also, there has apparently been more damage caused to the shower door and refrigerator after we left, and we are being blamed for it. 

Finally, since we did not have room to put a crib up for the baby, we had to move the bed close to the wall to prevent the baby from falling out of the bed. As a result of moving the bed 2 feet closer to the wall, the owner is claiming that this is "proof that we had more than 5 people" in the condo, and is further justification for her keeping our damage deposit. 

Oh and I forgot to mention that at least one of the only two elevators was broken almost everyday we were there.

This unit was overpriced, and under delivered in every way. 

Long story short - there are way better condos to stay in at PCB. And if you do find yourself at the Commodore, for the love of god avoid unit 1004 at all costs!

PS - The owner of the condo has several other properties in PCB. I can't speak for the quality of those properties, but I would also caution anyone staying in those other properties to be wary of the owner.

Beware unit 1004 - asinine owner will blame you for previous damage and keep your deposit!

Thanks to the owner who let us stay in the condo for a few nights, so happy we met you on the beach! Very clean and comfortable condo and the owner was very nice to us. The resort was easy to get in and out of and the beach was fun. Thanks for all the extras J we had allot of fun.

The Commodore 1109B Pretty Place.

35 years of pcb.ok security is great they do the work of the office...that closes at 4 pm at check in..and you can not get in there before 4 pm . They make you drive around until that time .this from rude donna.who thinks she is doing you a favor by renting to you with your hard earned VACATION money.alot of ridiculous made up crap rules as if you were a spring breaker that she can say whatever to.look else were.before ya book.not worth her attitude..🥱👎🥱👎overpriced. The rooms are ok .that's it

We have stayed at the Commodore for the last 3 years and highly recommend it.  We stay the latter part of August when school is in session, hence very few children .  It is on a quiet end of the beach and we like it.  We stay on one of the upper floors with a beautiful view.  The staff is helpful if we need anything.  The condos have been well stocked and clean.  The beach is great for walking.  My husband fishes on Miller pier which is about 5 miles away.  No problem with the elevators. The pool is small but OK.  The bed is comfortable and the balcony is roomy and great at sunsets.
