The motel was the best one of 3 off the Interstate. It is very plain, but very clean. The rooms have a microwave and small refrigerator. The owners are very accommodating, they made change of a dollar for ice from the machine which is a bucket for a quarter. They also helped us set up the the TV. It is also close to a nice restaurant called Sea and Steak. It is very good for rooms at a reasonable price.

Overnight stay

The exterior of the  motel & Rm. 9 were clean, the room needed a small table & 2 chairs. The motel needs to hire experienced  English speaking staff, it was difficult getting the person at the front desk to understand what I was saying. I appreciate the pet friendly acceptance. The motel was $45 overpriced.

A little overpriced 

We were coming back from New Orleans on the way home and trying to save some $, it was much less expensive than other options and passed the wife's inspection prior to check in.  We stayed 9-25-18.  In the morning I went to our car to dial into a meeting at 730am to keep from waking her up and someone who worked there who had walked by several times came up to the car and invited me to the office for coffee.  When we were leaving, the wife commented again how clean everything was and commented even the parking lot was spotless.  She noted the bed having been more comfortable than any we had slept on in the past four nights away from home in accommodations we paid twice as much for

I was looking for a cheap place to stay. Billboard out by the interstate said $49.95. But when I got there the guy acted like he never heard of that price  before. His exact words were “Oh no no no”. As if I was asking for something unreasonable.

Bait and switch

I've been down here a few times. 
This place used to be a nice little Motel...but the last few times I've been here, it is just worse every time.
 This week...the TV doesn't work, the batteries are out of the smoke detector, desk chair, but no desk. 
 The room itself looks pretty banged up, scratched up, and in need of paint, and repair.
 The ancient room fridge is rusty.
No lamp in the room, just the bright overhead.
There is enough toilet paper for barely one use, with no spare roll.
2 towels, 2 washcloths, 0 hand towels.
 The staff are increasingly ... well, if not rude, just unfriendly. They act like it is a burden to have to interact with a customer.
I WILL NOT BE BACK.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND, EVEN IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR BARGAIN BASEMENT ACCOMMODATIONS.

Getting Worse

Stayed here on 7-18,19,20-2017.
 When I first called, asked them for a room with a king-size bed and they said they had one room available, so we went and I got room 2, open the door to find a queen size bed! 
Since I'm easy to get along with, not a deal-breaker just disappointed!
Checked the room out a bit, very basic but had a good clean look, did not smell like smoke or a dead corpse!:) clean refrigerator, bathroom tiny but had just been freshly fully tiled and was very clean, (but had no electric plug!:(
Air conditioner worked fine (BUT, if someone is smoking outside in back yard near ac, it WILL draw the smoke into your room!! Blah!!:(
Did not partake of the swimming pool, but it did look clean and well taken care of, and has good solid high brick wall around it to keep toddlers from wandering into it by accident. 
You do have to pay a little for ice also:(
All in all, for my $60 total per nite for two adults during my 3 weekdays, I was satisfied!!
(I would have stayed Friday also but price was $80, not worth it to me for this room though, would go elsewhere.)
Never seen one bug and I had no trouble whatsoever with management.
