This hotel could be so much more.   I love old hotels but they have to be kept up.  The hotel is falling apart and there is no sign that they are trying to keep it up.  The only positive things I can say is the staff is very nice and the room was clean.  The sink was stained and cracking and the wood on the windows was rotting, but it was clean. No coffee in the room or the lobby.  That meant you had to drive 20 minutes to Cave City.  How hard is it to have a coffee pot in the lobby.   On that note, the lobby was locked up both mornings when I went to leave at 8.   The second day, they opened it up as I was leaving so I could turn in the keys.   It is right outside the park entrance but you had to drive to Cave City twice a day for meals so you might as well stay there.    The owners need to start renovating or close the doors forever. 

They have given up trying

Stayed the weekend. Requested a smoking room and was informed I would have to be moved to the bottom level which was fine. After returning home I was charged $250 for smoking in the room. The women stated I would have to go outside to smoke that was why we were moved to the bottom floor but failed to mention that during check in. Told her I would come speak to her in person and she agreed but when I got there she had closed and locked the entire building and refused to let me speak with the owner. Not only that but they ran out of food in their resteraunt so we couldn't eat, had no sodas in their drink machine, pool was closed, box TV's, 30 year old beds, 1 flat pillow, and loud drunks partying outside our window all night, because the one thing they did have open was a bar.

Overcharged and Horrible Facility

This hotel needs major work. The restaurant was close due to a fire, the staff went home sometime during the night and there was no one left on the property.  In a friends room, their AC didn’t work so they had to change rooms. The toilet didn’t flush so we filled the trash can with water to flush it. I’m sorry to say that this place is to far gone for me.

Rundown Hotel

We came to Park City for a race and ended up staying here at this “resort.” It is not a resort. It’s a motel. 

It is in need of a huge renovation. The carpet was grungy and the bedspreads looked faded and like they had been there for years. I didn’t even want to sit on the bed. 

The mattresses were paper thin and very uncomfortable. If you stay here, at least bring your own pillow. 

The TV was ancient (not that we came here to sit and watch tv, but we sleep with the tv on) and the remote did not work. We found out through some other guests that the hot water was out, which they did not tell us when we checked in. Luckily it was fixed by the time we needed it. 

Needless to say, the back of the truck seemed like a better place to sleep. We will not be returning. 

Two positives: the staff was incredibly friendly and hospitable. And the breakfast buffet was cheap but had great food. 



Very outdated, horribly uncomfortable beds

I will go in chronological order for this. Keep in mind I do not like leaving bad reviews and rarely do it but I wish someone had warned us. We were a group of 6 split between 3 different rooms. Out of our 3 rooms two of the toilets didn’t work. One of the couples switched rooms and THAT toilet also didn’t work. We were told the maintenance person wasn’t there that day so we ended up having to repair these toilets ourselves. The rooms are beyond the charming line of antiquated. They smells very old and dusty, like they’ve say without being freshened up for years (which it became apparent that was likely the case). The beds are likely the style and mattress model your grandmother used as a child as are the pillows and blankets. An air mattress or sleeping bed on the ground would be more comfortable then the bed and when we lifted the blankets a poof of dust came out, so we slept on top of them. We were literally in pain. There is one outlet in the entire room (this includes the bathroom) and it had an extension cord attached. You have to choose between two things being on at all times as there are no more areas to plug anything else in (at night at least one light being on takes 1 of the two) The water was extremely cloudy so I opted to use bottled water to brush my teeth. Two of our bulbs burnt out in the two nights we were there and the one that didn’t burn out required we take a towel and remove the bulb because the cord that turned off the light was stuck and it wasn’t attached to an outlet. The fire alarm was chirping with a low battery and we had to take that out as well. Our friends opened their window because the AC unit (all window units not central air) was broken but then the window became stuck. The breakfast is $9 a person for a very meager buffet. I can’t tell you enough how I wish we had used our money elsewhere for a more enjoyable trip! For the price you pay you could have a hotel with a bed that does not leave you in pain, recently cleaned rooms, working toilets and AC, electricity, etc AND a free breakfast!

Choose ANY other option!!

That's all you really need to know. Having my upcoming wedding here plus it's got a full cozy antique bar with the only drinks in town. Great place. Awesome. 

Great place.

The first time I went to the resort was for a brand new Run-and-Gun event there.  On arriving I felt like I had fallen into some mixture of the resort in Dirty Dancing and a firearms training facility.

This last weekend I went back to hang out with friends I have met at the various matches held here and I had a great time.

BUT THAT IS NOT WHAT THIS REVIEW IS ABOUT!

This review is about the staff.  For a resort allegedly operating in their 'off season' the staff was superb!  We wanted for nothing.  Lisa is a great representative for the resort and I hope her supervisors are aware of the fine job she did managing to keep 20-some-odd folks running about in all manner of directions very happy.

I will be going back soon for another match, and have no doubt I will enjoy myself.
