OK we were up in this neck of the woods near Ludington to visit our daughter, son-in-law and grandkids at a campground and I did not want to pay the exorbitant $200 plus price of the rooms in Ludington and I did not want to stay in the campground so I found this Alpine listed. It was so cheap it was scary. Well we got a cabin number 12 and the bedroom was fine. Nice and dark and a good bed but the bed right inside the front door was horrible. A real bad mattress needs to be replaced in the lights coming through that window are terrible so I did not sleep well. Air pressure.

This is definitely a place for guys and Hunter and fisherman not the place to bring her wife which was my mistake but for $119 out the door on Friday night. It was a good taste of americana. It seems like it could be a fire hazard type of a place but the knotty Pine Was kind a cool place is very old but they got a new steel roof on top and the lady who checked us in named Tracy was very nice. She was from Kentucky and they’re doing their best here to make it a nice place gets a little noisy from the trucks at night, but we had our own fan which drowned out the noise pretty good, the wife said the place was not very clean which doesn’t bother me as bad as it does her and she could not take a shower because it was so gross. All right well it’s a one and done I don’t know what else to say but keep in mind if you got a regular motel room here it’s only 50 bucks come on people where are you gonna find a place to sleep if you could sleep for that price in this day and age of 2023 it’s such a joke. It’s so cheap, but anyway, give it a shot, especially if you’re a fisherman you’re right next to the Pierre Marquette river and they say that’s a great fishing spot so that’s about it

Messed up our arrival date but had the other four nights we reserved so found us a different room for one night and said we could move into the room we reserved the following day. The next morning they told us we had canceled and they rebooked our room to someone else. We did not cancel so they said Booking.com canceled it. When we called Booking they said they did not cancel us. It seemed like some kind of scam they run trying then to give us space in his camper. Oh. It was also filthy.

Horrible place

My mom and I stayed for one night. It was clean and super cute. The bed was new and so comfy. We had all of the amenities like microwave, fridge, tv and even dressers. The stand up shower was nice. I absolutely recommend!!!

A great stay!

Room was very tiny with various plastic plants taking space that could have been used for more important items.  It was fairly quiet.  None of the windows opened, so it wasn't possible to get fresh air unless I left the door open.  When I tried to open the main window, the bottom area had not been cleaned and was full of dead moths, dust, etc.
There was dirt and dust under the microwave stand, so I'm not sure when it had been moved out and the floor cleaned.  
I would have appreciated a shelf in the bathroom to store toiletries.  The floor felt sticky under my bare feet, so I bought a pair of house slippers...the bottoms are black and sticky.
It is obvious that the new owners have put some effort into upgrading this business.  The doors are new and the furniture is in good shape.
For this price, do not expect luxury at any level.

Adequate for the money

My family and I have stayed here a couple of times now. It is not the fanciest place... but if that's what you're looking for your in the wrong area. We come here to get away from all that. Within a short distance to the trails, beach, great fishing, canoeing... everything we like. The new owners are awesome and we really like staying here. That's why we come back! 

Great getaway!

Stayed at the Alpine Motel after disembarking from the SS Badger. Stopped at a Meijer's store on the way to the motel. Got a cabin with a bedroom and a bed in the main room. In the forest. The owner was gracious and attending not only to our needs but to the overall easy ambiance of this unique place to stay. An easy drive to Ludington and Ludington State Park. 

Great Place!!

I really wanted to write a review for this motel because I did like it.  It's small, rustic and does have  charm. I stayed in one of the smaller motel rooms. It had a microwave, small frig, coffee maker, TV and AC. Shower only.   It was clean and the staff was friendly,  It's was no frills, but it was perfect.  Also it was VERY inexpensive compared to actually being in Luddington (10-15 min drive) where I had be during there high travel season.

I'm happy I did stay here !

We stayed in the "Antler Inn", a cute little cabin with 2 beds and a kitchen. Decorated in the hunting theme. We had a nice fire pit with chairs and a picnic table. The owner was on the premiss and was great to deal with.
