I was pleasantly surprised by the Travel Inn. Large room, full sofa, coffee table, cable with HBO. A very large dresser. The king size bed was more comfortable than those at Holiday Inn or Hampton Inn that I've stayed at. The drawback - it's dated. Clean but sort of worn. Are there usb ports everywhere? No. Plenty of outlets to plug your charger into though. Bonus: very, very quiet.

For $80, it's much better than staying at a Holiday Inn for twice the price and half the room size.

Very Nice Stay

When opening the door to the room the first time, there was a strong smell of bleach.  I thought that might be a good sign the room was clean.  I was disappointed.  There were several hairs in the bathtub, on the edge of the bathtub, and on the floor of the bathroom.  The beds and pillows were quite comfortable and there were clean mattress covers over the mattresses.  There were some pale stains on at least one of the sheets but all-in-all, the room was okay.  I would definitely opt for someplace a bit nicer and cleaner on my next visit to Lugoff.

So-So

I reserved a room for a meeting I had in the area. The first room they put me in was awful. There were stains on the mattresses, sheets, curtains, and lampshades. I asked to be moved. They were very kind and moved me to a different room. This room was perfect. It had been renovated and was much cleaner. It even had a brand new mattress. I read reviews stating how rude employees were. I experienced the exact opposite. They were wonderful and understood that I didn’t feel comfortable staying in the first room. Breakfast is extremely limited, but it tasted great. Just make sure if you book here, you get one of the updated rooms in the building where the office is.

Get an Updated Room

We booked a 2 night stay at this motel. When we arrived in the middle of the night, there were people hovering around the sidewalks. Watching us enter our room. Checking out our every move. There were people that live here grilling at 1 am and letting their children play in front of other rooms. The first room they gave us had roaches. The 2nd room they moved us to had stained sheets and a foul odor.  We went to check out of the room on Saturday evening because when we arrived there was a family beside us with 7 or more kids running the sidewalk and their mother screaming at them for 30 minutes straight. We decided that we would change hotels. The hotel staff did not have another room to accommodate us ( not that we would have stayed ) and REFUSE to give a refund. On Friday night when we checked in I slept in my van because I was afraid someone was going to steal stuff out of there. There were cars and people coming and going on night long as if they were running drugs, or prostituting. Maybe both? This Motel still refuses a refund after hearing all this. Stay far away from this place. Its awful and dirty. Go to the Econo lodge down the rd. Way more pleasant and only $10 more than this dump.

Horrible. Drug Runs.

The room was filthy There were big stains on carpet and the chair in the room was filthy. The room stank and when I complained they sent a man with a spray bottle of Odor  Ban. It did not get rid of the smells, just added more. The tub was stained bad. The router was too weak to reach our room. The smells were making me sick and I have cancer so do not need anything else to make me sick. When we told the clerk this she was flippant about it. The breakfast consisted of coffee and apple and banana. We did not stay for our whole time and requested a refund for time left but they would not refund it  If you stay there avoid room 133 at all cost!

Room nasty, service lousy, no breakfast, no internet

Clean,nice rooms.Nice pool and staff! Very helpful and understanding during a visit to the area upon the death of my brother. Thank you Travel Inn ! Near interstate.Near restaurants. Good room and amenities for the price!

Great for price !

We looked for a hotel that would take pets as we were returning after the hurricane evacuation. The staff was friendly. Things turned bad when we went to the two rooms we had reserved. There was animal feces under the bed and an old dog toy in the one room. In both rooms the pillows had hair on them. The mattress covers had animal hair on them. The staff offered a different room for the soiled room, however, the other room had kitty litter on the floor under the sink. The front desk was helpful and came and vacuumed it up but with three young kids and the pets, we couldn't bring ourselves to stay here.  Instead we drove through the flooded NC lowlands at night to get home. They did credit our account. 

Rooms were very dirty

I stay in places that were not near as nice as this place. From check-in to check-out everything was good. The room is big enough and has everything, but lotion (kinda surprised about that). Their breakfast was standard continental fare and the rate was very reasonable.
