To all those that have rated this place 4.5 stars, you must not travel much.  For me, I rate all hotels/motels on a common worldwide scale, a 1 is someplace I’d leave, even if I lost money, a 5 would be the most exquisite place I’d ever seen.  That out of the way, my review below. 

Outside, this Place immediately makes you consider turning around.  And it’s actual location is off a 4 lane highway, and seems rather out of the way. Luckily, it’s well lit at night and relatively quite. Outside though needs a good paint job, peeling all over the place.  

Once inside, things are generally better, average I’d say.  However clearly some items need replacing or updating ( see couch and microwave pictures). Bathroom was fine, bedroom mostly OK, extra pillows that the 2 flat ones would have been nice though. 

If not for the condition of the outside building and the couch, I’d given this 3 stars.  But in the end, even for it’s decent price, I’d not stay here again.

In need of considerable updating

Not sure how to describe this place.... 
I don’t know if I should start out saying WOW, AWESOME, AMAZING, or Oh Amy Goodness!!! It really is spectacular!! Truck parking is very tight. I don’t recommend pulling an 18 wheeler in there. But if your in a car or pickup, etc, you simply can not beat this place!!

I only have words of praise for this hotel for a 13 week stay while working at Lynchburg General Hospital. The location is perfect--5 miles or 10 minutes drive to work. On Rte 460, 3 miles from Liberty University, 2 hours to Richmond, 1 hour from Staunton. The managers Ms. Geri and Mr. Jan are VERY hospitable, very professional, very proactive in providing the best possible stay. The suite is spacious, the furniture is comfortable, the onsite laundry room is very clean and always in good working condition. The grounds are safe, clean quiet and spacious. Weekly room cleaning and fresh laundry are a very nice service. I highly recommend staying at Eastside Suites.

highly recommend for Travel Nurses

This is the cleanest hotel I have ever seen.  It was immaculate.  I was so impressed as I am very particular about public places. The general manager was extremely nice also and it was sincere versus how some people change up.

Clearly there are newer hotel properties in the area... but many are nearly twice as much. Honestly, I was expecting to be really disappointed walking into the room... but, I was genuinely surprised. It was a large room with a mini-kitchen (stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker) with couch and large TV... and then a separate bedroom. It was all fine... and, for the price, very fine. One bad thing. The front desk is only open till 6pm. So, if you arrive after then, they put your key in an envelope in their mailbox. That means that someone could come and gain entrance to your room... putting the key back in place so that you don't expect foul play. Seriously, I wouldn't let my wife or daughters stay here without me... not if they're going to check in after hours.

Really Good for the Price

Geri staton made me feel at home. Unit was clean and comfortable.  Bed was comfortable.  Kitchen had everything necessary for light cooking.  Unit cleaned once a week by very friendly staff . If needed, I definitely will stay again.  Close proximity to City of Lynchburg.
