The room I was in had been recently renovated - carpet gone and new decor (more coastal than Irish). The room was very clean. I was there for a week total and was very happy with my room and the service. The breakfast is simple but is fine. 
I was glad to see the new "price/rule" book was gone from my last visit in 2021 (the new management was still new after the Irish couple retired) - that alone made the visit more hospitable. I am a repeat customer of many years, and this is my go-to place when in the Rockland area. It is convenient to the library, the downtown, the ferry, and the Breakwater Lighthouse. It is also quiet and safe. I usually travel alone and have never had issues here.
I am already planning my vacation for 2024 and will stay here. 


Great place to stay

Clean and comfortable. Great location with lots to see and do in Rockland, Rockport, and Camden. Several affordable and delicious restaurants nearby. Set back from road, so no traffic noise. Highly recommend. 

Clean, Cozy, and Charming

This little inn is a blast from the past. Our room was small and so cleverly furnished that it had everything, including a miniature kitchenette. Everything was spotlessly clean. We only stayed one night, but this would be a great place to stay for a while to explore the area. Comes with an ample continental breakfast.

SO CUTE! Vintage charm

Charming Motel with a 50s vibe. Great location south of Camden. Nice picnic tables outside the rooms, we’ll kept grounds. We were on a motorcycle trip and it was nice to have our bikes right outside(rm115) for loading up and unpacking. Breakfast was nothing special but totally acceptable. They even had fresh blueberries for the cereal. Would stay here again. The price was right for the accommodations and the location. Would recommend to friends and family.

50s vibe motel

Booked a last minute overnite as I was a volunteer at the Maine State Amateur Golf tournament 
being held at the Samoset Golf Club. The staff was very helpful as i made a 
mistake with the booking. Room 104, very nice, clean and very good bed. Had to leave early so did not try the breakfast. Will be back the next time I am in the area! 
 

Last Minute Stay

I stayed here during a solo trip in Maine (24 year old female) and would recommend Claddaugh motel & suites to anyone in Rockport. When I arrived they had upgraded my room for free and the recently refurbished King room was AMAZING. Literally the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in and I felt really safe here as a solo female. The motel is a short drive into the lovely Rockport town so is a perfect location. All the staff were so lovely (even when I locked myself out of my room) and so helpful with local recommendations on places to visit on my trip. There was a great fan heater in the room, a fridge, microwave and coffee machine too in the room I had. 100% stay here if you’re in the area!

Amazing! Stay here!

Our room had a very  comfortable bed and pillows. The room was clean and the  people on staff were helpful and friendly. It is not a fancy place but is comfortable, quiet, and met all of our needs. The location is very central and we found it to be close to many attractions.

Clean, comfortable, quiet, convenient location

We stayed here for one night before catching our schooner vacation. The motel is very well kept and the room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. Our room had been recently updated and was very nice. We got takeout dinner and ate it outside at the tables. One nice feature of this old-style motel is that there is a grassy area and small fence between the motel doors and the parking. That made for a very pleasant area for eating outdoors. The breakfast was modest but just what we were looking for that day. The staff was very friendly.

Great value motel

The motel is very well taken care of and clean despite having some dated features. It was a good value. Being set back from the road made it quiet. And having opening windows on two sides allowed us to ventilate the room well. Breakfast is modest but fine.

Good quality very clean motel

This is an old style motel and I give it 5 stars because it was in a great location, incredibly clean, reasonably priced places to eat nearby, and close to the local great sights.  Our room was large and comfortable. the bathroom was updated and again, perfectly clean. We had a very good breakfast w hard boiled eggs, several types of breads and breakfast rolls, fruit, coffee (very good by the way), etc. We had a very pleasant sitting area in our room and ate at the table in front of the window. We were as satisfied with this room as high end big chain hotel rooms. In fact, maybe we were more happy bec we got so much more value for our dollar. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were there in Sept, but the pool was still filled w clean blue water from the summer season. It looks like a very pleasant place to be in warmer weather. We had a frig, microwave, coffee maker and small chest of drawers for a countertop. I would definitely come back here. And in fact have given this name to friends who want to visit this area. There is no better value in this region, unless you want to pay for water views - which might be worth it as this part of Maine is spectacular!
