We were disappointed to say the least.  This place has lost its appeal.  Grounds and rooms were dirty.  Toilets were   soiled and bathroom needed attention.  Not much pride in this place.  Beds were clean and comfortable.  

We have stayed here in the past a decade ago.

Stayed one night to attend county fair. Older family owned motel. Got a non smoking room right next to the office. Firm double bed,clean fresh smelling linen, fluffy pillows, simply made blanket top, classic but good condition furniture, modern tv. Shower runs hot with adequate pressure. Looks like fresh paint, smooth clean look. Slightly vaulted ceiling tastefully done in v jointed northern white pine, finished nicely. Gave the room an open bright look. Carpet felt soft and kept clean. A modern clean refrigerator and microwave at ready in room. The owner and two employees that checked us in were pleasant, concerned with our comfort and satisfaction with our room. Office offered coffee and tables to sit. Clean, well kept. Ample parking and good location. Some small signs of continued effort to keep the place maintained like bathroom caulking, aging fixtures older doors and windows are fine by my standards, just part of the quaintness in staying in privately owned motels as they were back before corporate chain. Quite normal wear, not so worn it was bad. I find this comfortable, friendly, adequate, even economical, and would stay again if needed. Overall I'm rating as a normal regular guy having been many places and choose the private sector motels when available. The effort to make guests comfortable counts big.

A night stay over in town

Furniture had dirt and dust looked like room had not been  used in a while. Hot water not hot. Shower so disgusting,I didn't have a shower. Everything very old, linen and furniture. Refrigerator was not turned on. Advertised with swimming pool, which was not maintained ,dirty water below level. The owner had the hide to leave envelopes requesting a tip. I have a tip for the owner, the hotel needs major renovations.

A Joke

Was told we got the last room. Failed to tell us sewer problems and electrical problems health dept been there. Bugs on window cell and floors mold on pillow cases  black mold in most rooms rug inside or door soaked.     Place was so bad the manager left on a bus few days after us.

Not good

Booked a room at four seasons motel and it was a nightmare. Dirt on the floor by the bathroom door, rusty safety pin on floor under bathroom window, garbage can filthy, toilet filthy on the outside,crumbs on floor, stain on pillowcase, and debris on box springs of bed.  I would not recommend anyone to stay there. 

NIGHTMARE

Went to Malone for my annual golf/relax weekend with two nephews. While the other motels in the vicinity were booming, this one only had two other vehicles  in the parking lot. Soon found out why. Room was grungy, bedding clean however deeds an upgrade. Had to turn up the water supply for toilet myself. Staff pleasant and price below normal for this reason. Not sure I'd return. 

Needs maintenance and housecleaning

The toilet didn't flush, the showers had to run for at least 10 minutes to heat up, rooms were dirty, and the heat in the room didn't work (in February). The worst part is, the staff seemed totally oblivious to all this.

Also I found hair on the sheets... don't stay here.

Stay anywhere else

Ten years ago, before construction of the Holiday Inn Express, this was one of the three best motels in Malone.  Now it is very run down.  On Nov. 1, 2017, when I entered the room, I turned back the polyester bedspread (which featured two cigarette-burn holes).  All around the pillow were droppings from a large mouse or small chipmunk--approximately 25 pieces in all.  I reported this to the desk clerk.  She walked to the room with me to inspect the animal feces.  When I said that it looked like mouse, she joked, "They only want to cuddle!"     Probably not the right time for a hospitality professional to make that comment.     I received a new room--one with worn carpet and furniture--but no offer of reduction of the $76 dollar rate.  I will certainly not stay here again, and would encourage other business or leisure travelers to avoid Malone's Four Seasons Motel.

Mouse feces on bedsheet around the pillow--or maybe chipmunk.

We arrived Friday August 5th in the early afternoon. We had made reservations in Early May. We had stayed here a few times and the Manager, Dan, who took our reservation said don't worry about a confirmation as you have dealt with me. Well upon arrival a very arrogant manager informed us he was the new owner and that we didn't have reservations. I kind of thought something was wrong as the pool was half covered and the water was green and moldy. I also noticed that all the chairs that patrons usually sat on outside their rooms were gone. 

The manager said he was totally booked and we had no reservation. About the third time he was arrogant I told him I would report him. He said I have one room but the air conditioner broke yesterday. We went out to the car and my wife went on the internet and it said he had 11 rooms for rent. As I mentioned we had stayed there many times and were never treated like this. 

It seems the Manager had just up and quit about a month ago because of the deplorable condition of the motel. I would not recommend this motel to anyone.
