Brian was an INCREDIBLE host / driver for our company outing. He was responsive, professional, punctual, AND made accommodations for our group size. Not to mention - the ride was a perfect mix of fun / classy. 

11/10 experience -- we are booking Brian for our future team bondings :)

Great Location, but unit needs to be updated. Full size beds too small for two adults. Children's bunks located directly off of kitchen...would have been nice to have separation from main gathering area. Much smaller unit than photos indicate. Horrible smell in entrance through parking garage..had to hold breath to avoid gagging upon every entrance and exit from building.  Oven did not work properly...heated beyond set temp...safety hazard...stove top did work though. BBQ grill provided with plenty of propane. Unit served its purpose as a place to sleep and eat. Very thin walls..we could hear everything from the unit above us. Has more of a youth hostel feel than a family friendly condo.  Would have been fine for a guys trip, but not a multi-family use space.  Would not stay in this unit again with my family.  Units are individually owned and I would be open to trying different unit.

The condo's are very spacious.  I've stayed at two different units.  The first time was in a 1 bedroom condo that had a nice queen or twin bed, bunk beds, and pull out sofa.  I was able to fit 2 adults and 4 children ages at that time (11, 9, 7, and 3 yrs.) all comfortably.  The fully supplied kitchen, with dishwasher, and all the pots & pans and silver wear too was perfect!  There was plenty of room for the kids to lounge around, play, as well as to enjoy the fire place too.  Okay, so here's my complaint of the smaller unit.  The hot was seriously lacking and there was hardly any wi-fi.  The management company will honestly tell you (if you ask) that the hot water is very lacking, because of the smaller water heater and all the units, with the exception the largest unit that sleeps at least 10...maybe 12 has very-very bad wi-fi.  However, they have told me that the units all now have wi-fi (this is April 2016) and I first went back in 2014 (Memorial Day Weekend).  I will be going this Memorial Weekend to the same small unit.  The larger unit had better amounts of hot water, because I imagine that the holding on the water tank is bigger.  Therefore, for the smaller units if you can take very quick showers and the unit not being very flashy then this place is great, because the value & plentiful space easily more than makes up for some minor little details.  Don't get me wrong, I like the place very much and it is extremely close to the main downtown and easy to access the main highway too.  This will be my 3rd year coming back and will come back again as well.  It's great for the family.

Great Value For The Family

Management was helpful prior to arrival (I emailed management asking about car service and the manager was quick to respond).  However, upon arrival, we can ran into a few problems.  

1st issue:
The bed inside the master bedroom looked like someone took a nap in the bed prior to our arrival and the cleaning crew didn't completely finish cleaning the apartment.  The pillows were stacked on top of each other and the blanket was folder over showing someone definitely slept in the bed.  There were also random pillowcases laying on the bed, unfolded.  We found a scrunched up rag on the kitchen counter as well.

2nd issue: 
Later in the evening, someone knocked on our door and was holding our set of keys from the lock box, asking us if we were leaving and then handed us the keys.  Although the lock box was tricky to use at first, everyone staying at the condo checked the lock box each time we opened the lock box, so it was very strange that someone (not management or the cleaning crew) was able to access the lock box.  The cover to the lock box is pretty heavy, so there is absolutely NO way we would have missed if the lock box was loose, because it would definitely have fallen off.

3rd issue: 
The cleaning crew showed up the next day to clean the condo.  Not a huge deal because our condo was cleaned, but we were never notified, which left some of my friends staying in the condo feeling uneasy.  If I am correct, when you rent via vrbo, the cleaning crew never comes in during your stay.  Reason for the uneasiness: my friends were under the impression no one would enter the condo during our stay so nothing was locked away, what if the our things went missing, who would be responsible?  The biggest issue was that the cleaning crew threw away our receipts (they were nowhere near the garbage can).  My friend left the receipts on the dresser next to their belongings and actually needed those receipts to claim their purchases.  The items were paid in cash, therefore my friend was unable to process the claim.  Although, it wasn't entirely their fault for throwing our stuff away, had we been notified that a cleaning crew was coming in, we would have stored our belongings away.  Even cleaning crews in hotels would never touch your receipts or throw things away unless you place them into the garbage can or have checked out.

4th issue:
There is a heater in the master bedroom which sparks a few times in the middle of the night.  That was a little scary.  It probably needs to be replaced.

I've called the management company to notify them of the issues, requested that it might be a good idea to change the lockbox combination and the heater.

We just got a "Sorry, but you guys had a nice stay so that was good".  (Note: our stay was good because the location was awesome, the shuttle was right at the corner once you left the garage of the condo, so it was super convenient).

I understand our case may have been a one-off case, which is unfortunate, but based on how the management company handled the apology I would just say beware when dealing with them, as they weren't very apologetic.  In most cases, a simple sorry would have been enough, but if I was a management company and my guests showed up to my place and the bed was unmade, I would be embarrassed. Personal opinion.

Crestview #46

These apartments definitely exceeded our expectations.  We had a very spacious lounge with fully equipped kitchen, separate en suite bedroom and an additional bathroom (very useful) and a balcony.

The apartment is very 'rustic' in its decor, but that definitely adds to the charm.  There is a laundrette on site and also a hot tub for use of guests.  This might be in a different block to the one you stay in.  The location is very handy for the Mammoth village, including the shuttle bus for Mammoth Mountain.  There is a trolley-bus stop right outside.  

The only criticism is that the wifi didn't work in the apartment, only in the corridor.
