This was our first trip staying at a B&B and definitely will not be our last. Margrit and Rob were beyond gracious hosts. Everything about their Inn, from the spacious rooms, cozy lounge area to the complimentary beverages and snacks, was charming and clean.  After a great nights sleep in the comfortable and private room, we were so excited for the home cooked, made to order bfast that so many past guests have raved about. It did not disappoint. We can’t wait to plan our next visit back. Thank you for being a highlight of our getaway weekend.

Charming Inn for a couples getaway

I visited Manchester to spend time with my sister who was recovering from surgery at Catholic Medical Center.  I didn’t want to stay at a standard, sterile chain hotel. Ash Street Inn looked intriguing from my Google search, so I took a chance. 

The Inn was old world charming, and Margit and Rob were the perfect hosts. I adored my quiet, beautiful room with stained glass windows peeking out above a desk in a corner alcove. Everything was kept clean, and the modern amenities — from wi-fi to bathrobes to spa toiletries —- ensured a comfortable stay.

Rob’s breakfasts were a highlight, and made it easier for me to face each day spent at the hospital with my sister. What could have been a debilitating journey was made into an unexpectedly positive experience. I looked forward to coming “home” at the end of each day, and even extended my stay by one night, to make it a full week.

I hope to return to Manchester under more ideal circumstances, and to visit the many shops, restaurants and museum that Margit and Rob described that were within a stone’s throw of their Inn. I will definitely stay at Ash Street Inn on any future visits.

Ash Street Inn: Old World Elegance with Modern Amenities and Walking Distance from downtown Manchester

Rob and Margit have it together big time and have thought of pretty much everything one could offer in a B&B including a terrific breakfast, charming rooms, lots of little amenities, and treats scattered about the house.  They gave great recommendations for local eateries and made wonderful arrangements for visits to the Currier Museum and other local venues.  The location is within walking distance to the downtown business/restaurant district in a walkable residential neighborhood.

Charming and luxurious!

This might have been one of the best bed and breakfasts we have stayed in. Margrit and Rob are great. Check in was easy. Breakfast was delicious. 

There is plenty of on-site parking and you can easily walk to downtown for a bite or a drink. Absolutely recommend.

One of the best

I stayed at this inn for three nights while visiting the area to attend a friend’s wedding. The inn is very cozy, with large, well decorated rooms and super comfortable beds. It’s also really well located to many nearby restaurants and cute towns. The hosts take the experience of staying there to the next level. They have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. He’s a great cook, and she has the answer to all your questions. They are both so friendly. You’ll feel at home and will be planning your next trip there when it’s time to leave.

Like Staying with Great Friends

A gem - a really well run inn with innkeepers who know how to make guests comfortable.   Everything is beautifully maintained and very comfortable - good mattresses, lovely linens and towels, and a the rooms are cosy and welcoming.  Everything worked and room was well laid out and pleasant to spend time in.  Good taste of inn keepers helps alot.  A home-cooked breakfast is a treat and ours was perfect.   Only stayed one night but wanted to recommend to others because we thought so very highly of this inn.   

A really well run inn.

I'll add my accolades to others.  I was looking for a place to stay other than Concord and stumbled on this B+B.  The interior decorating is attractively funky, as was our ground floor room with the painted ceiling and operating gas fireplace (well, remote controlled by us) for the one chilly morning.  Breakfast to order with pleasant conversation from the other tenants and Margie and Rob.  As we drove away after two nights I found myself trying to figure out a reason to come back.

Welcoming and comfortable

The owners of this inn elevate the meaning of a bed and breakfast. It’s obvious that they love what they do.  The home is vintage and beautiful with remarkable stained glass windows and four poster beds. The shower was in the room, clean and comfortable.   Breakfast were to die  for. Menu provided starting with a fruit salad, choice of homemadegranola and yogurt. Fluffy vegetable omelette of blueberry pancakes   More than we could have expected

I would travel just to stay here

Just had a lovely evening at the Ash Street Inn. As a former Manchester resident who grew up on Ash St, I was interested so made a reservation while visiting Manchester. My husband and I were bowled over by the gracious old home, the comfy bed, luxurious linens: everything you could want in a guest accommodation: bottled water, lip balm, make-up remover towels, and plenty of hot water. The place was immaculate; the gardens ablaze with bright flowers. And Rob's breakfast (accompanied by Margit's home-made bread) was outrageous. If you are planning a trip to Manchester and want to treat yourself, check in at the Ash Street Inn.

Rob and Margit are wonderful hosts! The house is charming and cozy. Our bathroom was stocked full of thoughtful amenities. I loved the cozy robes and fireplace in our room as well. Breakfast is cooked to order, in addition to homemade yogurt/granola/bread!
