We spent just one night in this lovely family run hotel, close to Manchester, VT.
It was so welcoming with great illuminations on the outside and lots of pumpkins as Halloween was approaching.
The Hostess was very friendly and chatty and gave us complimentary coffees on our arrival. Being designed like a motel- our room was on the ground floor and very close to the car park. The breakfast was delicious- best fried eggs ever. Lots of pancakes, sausages, juice etc.
It was so homely and dog friendly. Lots of family photographs everywhere and a most intrigueing origami display of dollars in a glass cabiinet in the excellent living room.
We highly recommend this lodge to fellow travellers.

VERY COMFORTABLE AND WELL SITUATED

The facility is quaint, not antique, but very eclectic and welcoming.  Staff (owners) are on site and quite pleasant.  The history of the place is interesting as is the story on how it came to be owned by the current people.  Breakfast is very good.  Most other guests are "repeats" so it has a good reputation.  If ever in town again, I'll stay if there is vacancy.

We cannot recommend the Olympia Lodge enough we have been staying here for over 15 years and it never disappoints, from the friendly welcome in the inviting and cozy lounge area to the comfortable, nicely decorated and clean rooms to the delicious breakfasts provided every morning in the dinning room. The grounds are very well kept, and there is ample parking
It is centrally and conveniently located to all major attractions in the area. The owners, Sal and Trish, are always on site and go above and beyond to make all guests feel welcome and comfortable. Can't wait till next year!!🍁🍁

Vermont in October🍁

It is hard to describe a place like this. It looks like a cross between a Swiss chalet and an old-time American motor lodge. This is more of a “bed and breakfast” experience than a typical hotel stay. The first thing that will strike you is how friendly the proprietors are. A large passive and friendly golden retriever wanders freely. To give you a better idea of the ambiance, you will notice old classic board games in the lobby. You feel as if you are in someone’s home if not your own. The room comes with a gratis breakfast and that is simply wonderful. The back of the establishment abuts a wood line where deer come out and graze. Yes, the rooms are a little small, and there is pet dander, but hey, this is like staying at your aunt and uncle’s house and it’s a place to just relax. Easy access to plenty of activities in the area including skiing.

All we could ask for.

Old school hospitality at it’s finest! Trish and  Sal are amazing proprietors and hosts. The rooms are clean and comfortable and Sal cooks you breakfast in the morning! We enjoyed great travel conversation with other patrons over breakfast. It was a unique and sweet visit. I would definitely stay again!

If you need an ironing board, iron, clock, coffee maker, pristine gardens, and  a large bathroom, Olympia Lodge  is not for you.  If you want a very clean and  nicely decorated room, a  large, comfortable and inviting lounge area, and a homemake breakfast, ( My husband  had French toast and sausages ,  I had delicious scrambled  eggs, sausages and toast), at a very reasonable  rate for the Manchester area, then Olympia Lodge is a  great choice.  We would definitely stay here again.

The Price Is Right!

Due to our place on Bromley Mountain being rented out, we had to scramble to find a place to stay as our son is in a training program at Stratton.  We found Olympia Lodge due to another hotel’s recommendation.   Here we found one of the great things in life lost due to the Covid pandemic – human interaction.   The hotel is Alpine themed, the rooms are clean with comfortable beds and clean bathrooms, but the best part is their common area; the heart and soul of the hotel.  There are a couple sectional couches, a big fireplace, and a cute bar area, all full of strangers TALKING to each other, telling skiing and traveling stories.  It was wonderful. It felt to me like all was finally getting back to normal.  The owners are a really sweet people, not a corporate staff.  Breakfast is served with the reservation, but we had to get out too early for it due our son’s program.  However, the people I spoke with said it was “real” breakfast, and really good, not the powdered eggs and old plastic wrapped pastries you get in the corporate hotels.   I’m almost bummed that we own a place locally, because I really loved staying here.

Absolute Charm

My friends and I loved our stay here with the innkeepers, Sal and Trish, and their dog, Harry! Very homey feel - guests gathered by the fire at night to play games and share stories. Hearty breakfast and parking included. Ideal location - minutes from downtown with lots of shops and bars, short drive to Stratton and other mountains. Highly recommend staying here.

Perfect weekend getaway from NYC

We liked our 2020 trip here so much we came back again, and we weren't disappointed.

Great location, helpful staff, good clean room, very comfy bed, delicious breakfast, all at a price that just makes a lot of sense.

The lodge/lounge area was open this year, and it was really nice to just hang out, stay by the fireplace, be greeted by Harry the Golden Retriever, and enjoy a bit more of this place.   We will be staying here again.
