The Red Wing Motel checked off all the boxes!!!!  My husband and I enjoyed an excellent mid-week/3 night/4 day stay at the Red Wing Motel.  We wanted something that was easily accessible to the center of Manitou Springs.   This motel was close to everything.  It was quiet.   It was clean.  Our room had been recently remodeled.  It had a full kitchen, with granite countertops,  full refrigerator, dishwasher, dishes, drinking glasses, pots and pans.  The bathroom also had granite countertops, new fixtures, a full length counter with sink to hold all our travel items.   There was abundant storage with built in shelves in the bathroom and a large closet in the living area.  Susie, the owner/manager even arranged for a special chair to accommodate my husband's mobility issues.  The room had individually controlled air conditioning, which we rarely needed in the evening.    Vehicle parking was available immediately outside our unit.  Another accommodation Susie made was to grant our request for a first floor unit so we did not have to use stairs up to the second floor.    Susie was very helpful to answer our almost daily questions about restaurants, nearby sites, shopping, and parking.  It is good to know that if a person has a vehicle and  a handicapped sticker and places that placard in the window,  there is no charge for parking.  We loved the Red Wing Motel, Manitou Springs, and everyone we met.  We can't wait to return.

After the first night I told the manager, Suzie, that the bed was killing back. I wanted to move to a different room, but she didn't let me ask. She said, "You have to move a.s.a.p." I was kicked out without even a full refund for the second night, and was forced to leave even before checkout time. I was in shock. I have never been treated this way.

Great independent motel near park and Fountain Creek. One block from Manitou Avenue. The Red Wing is super clean and is affordably priced.  I have friends and family in the area and I'll definitely stay here again on future trips.

Excellent Motel - Great Location

We found this motel while on a road trip and were so happy we did. It was in a nice, quiet area close to Garden of the Gods and the free shuttle for downtown. The room was spotless and nicely decorated. It had everything we needed. We were greeted and walked to our room upon our arrival. I hope to visit this area again and would love to stay again.

Great Stay!

Location of this property is perfect.  Close to park, free bus to downtown and Garden of the Gods.  I chose this location because of the space of the room.  The space was nice, but definitely needed some updates.  For a large two room suite there was only one small wall AC unit that couldn't keep up and only worked about half of the time.  The room became very humid after showers.  The wifi was pretty much non-existent in the room which became an issue when I was trying to do some work early in the mornings.  There was only 3 TV channels and Netflix which didn't work because of the crappy Wifi.  This normally wouldn't have been an issue but it rained each evening we were there and it forced us inside.  With no TV and no Wifi there wasn't much to do.  With a few updates to the 21st century, this place could be great!

Its like staying at home or with family the view is awesome the people are wonderful it's close to down town monitou springs the free bus ride stop is close by near a park with a baseball field tennis courts and skate park with a stream near by to wade in cold water and deer come out early and late and the garden of the gods is 2 blocks away it's home owned so your supporting a family and not some Corporation they have a nice sitting area where there are flowers and a view of pikes peak and mountain you can walk ride bikes I fell in love and wish I could live here the motel is newly renovated keeping up with wifi and Netflix the staff is so friendly I hope i get to go back next year there is a gas station just down the road and Walgreens and a sonic if you like home made breakfast eat at uncle Sam's pancake house it's amazing and the mason jar is great for supper or lunch. I HOPE YOU ENJOY YOUR TIME HERE LIKE ME AND MY FAMILY

Best place i ever stayed in colorado

Don't go here very rude service she charged my card numerous times until she was able to drain my account and won't return my calls. Greedy in this time of our country in crisis's!!!!! Recommend anywhere but here

Worst please ever!!!!!!!!

Located at the rear gate of the Garden of the Gods. Very close to a trolley stop. Owner is warm and professional. Great price, and a very nice place to stay. We honeymooned here 40 years ago and second honeymooned here. Love it!.

Great, clean boutique Hotel..

This is the second time we've stayed!  We really do love this little nook in Manitou!  It's not the Hyatt, it's a perfectly restored vintage motel. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfy, and the air conditioning works fantastic. There are only a few channels on the TV, and they do provide the Netflix, but there's so much to do around here, why would you be holed up in a room? Great place!  Thank you again for the wonderful stay!

Great little spot!

It was a last minute decision to stay here and we were so glad we did! The room was great--it was clean and nicely decorated. There was no cable, but there was no need for it with Netflix available. The owner greeted us right away and she walked us to the room to make sure everything was in order. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to friends!
