We wanted to like it but service is non existent.  First room we stayed in was great clean and everything worked.  The second room had sand in the floor and the hairdryer was broken.  There is no one on site except for one hour a day and no one to call.  The emergency number went straight to  voicemail that had “not been set up yet.” The rooms have a 1970’s beachy hippy vibe which could work but not without any service or support if anything goes wrong.  Stay Clear if this place. 

Not great

Yes...we had a home in Manzanita for 26 years. Sold in 2021. As a tourist we found the town to be as we remembered....too busy and understaffed.
The Inn was ok. Our room was quiet. Bed and sleeper were comfortable. Overall the place is showing it's age, life for a wood structure on the coast is hard. 
Back to town, most restaurants don't open til 4.Good luck finding lunch. And they are jammed at dinner.
The staff at the Inn were great. Offered info, but we knew the area. You likely won't get a view, but if you need an ocean fix this is good. Just a short walk to the beach 


Visited as tourists after 26 years

This was our second time staying at the Inn at Manzanita and it was pretty much as we remembered--nice and cozy, relaxed vibe; a little quirky. We stayed in the Carmel Room. 
Pros: Close to the beach (not even 2 blocks). Large, clean room, nice and bright, lots of windows, ceiling fan. Very comfortable mattress and plenty of pillows which is a big plus. Jacuzzi tub which is not my thing but lots of towels provided and two fluffy robes.  Close to several restaurants/bars and very good coffee shop across the street. Bikes with helmets available to use. Lots of hiking and surfing spots nearby. 
Cons: The Inn is located on the main street, and while it is a small town you do get the road noise of trucks and constructions vehicles, etc. There is also a Mexican restaurant across the street which plays music all day, until about 9:30pm when we were there. At first kinda fun, but got old after a while. I think if you stayed in a room away from the street you would get less of this noise, if that's something that would bother you. Other small issues were not being able to use the DVD player (yes we consulted the instructions), odd tasting water (not unsafe/bad, just funky), and spotty internet--fine for a quick web search or looking at Instagram, but streaming or video calls might be tough. 
All in all a good value and would stay there again, but probably a different room and would download a movie ahead of time. 

Cozy and close to the beach

We’ve stayed at the Manzanita in in the past and have really enjoyed it. On this occasion I traveled alone with my dog and had a cast on my wrist. First problem was the horrible sound from the refrigerator.  I only detected it after 5 pm (help at the desk close after 5 pm), having been out for the day.  It was unbearable, so I somehow moved the refrigerator and unplugged it. I I read in their room manual that blankets would be found in a cabinet.  None were to be found anywhere in the room. I had a very bad night sleeping in a bed with a down blanket. Then in the morning, when making coffee, I discovered that the room was not stocked with any creamer (despite its ad). I called the inn to let them know but I have not received a call back.  Very disappointing!

Wanted to love it!

Town was crowded and I would have liked to have found a more upscale place to stay.  Inn at Manzanita was pretty worn down and the walls were thin so getting a good night sleep was impossible.   The price of room did not match what I was expecting.  Would have been very happy to pay had it been more updated.  Wi-Fi worked very poorly and having 3 Television Remotes could have used an upgrade to a universal remote.   Next time I might remain in Cannon Beach which is too bad because Manzanita is an amazing little place.   Also, i had to park on the street instead of the hotel parking because multiple cars expanded across more than one space.

Great Little Town

Loved loved our special week at the penthouse at the Inn at Manzanita. Very kind staff. Clean rooms, very close to beach. Will definitely come back. Manzanita is a gem to visit! Lovely town that had lots to do!

Sisters trip

We spent 4 nights at the Manzanita Inn (in the Mariner Room).   It was my husband, myself and our dog.   
The good:  Location, dog-friendly, parking onsite, decent internet (we were not working so might not be for folks doing things like Zoom), comfortable bed, and the one staffer we interfaced with was very friendly.  
The not so good:  Room and furnishings are a bit tired.  Nothing was broken, but it just felt and looked old.   Also, you can hear noises between rooms (we were lucky, the first couple of nights no one was in adjacent rooms, but after that, we had folks above and next to us that we could hear).    The chairs provided on the deck were not comfortable and really chinsy.   The tub in the room takes up a ton of space and really limits the use of the room (we had to put our dog's bed under the table so we would not trip on it at night).     
I can see how it used to be a special place, but I think it needs some updating before I could recommend it to others.

Needs a facelift.

This Inn is in a great location, really just steps from the beach and across the street from a few restaurants. We stayed in the Cottage room, a one bedroom suite on the second floor. The inn consists of several different small buildings with varying sizes and types of spaces. I was able to park right by the entrance. In person check in is a small window of time, but there is easy after hours check in. The suite itself was not fancy but still nice. Ours had a full kitchen, which made it easy to store and cook extra food. We also enjoyed the jetted tub. 

One of the days we stayed was extremely hot, and even though the temps went down in the evening, the heat remained on the second floor even with the windows open. I understand there may not be enough need for air conditioning, but it would have been nice to have a fan available. All in all, the price was pretty reasonable for the space and the location, but during the right kind of weather.

The best word to describe the Inn at Manzanita is “Cozy”.  But really isn’t that the epitome of the type of place you would want stay at on the Oregon coast? Feels like a comfortable cabin that you would be proud to call your own. Simple touch less check-in. Quiet. Right downtown.

The check in was easy and the room is clean. Like others noted, I'm concerned since I'm the only one wearing a mask on property and the management is MIA.. When I arrived, there was hand sanitizer in the common area, but it is long gone. The "hot tub" Jacuzzi fills only with lukewarm water. The walls are thin, so I listed to the next room's tv. On my last stay the internet was super fast, but this time I received the "unstable internet" message several times - don't come on a weekday if you need to get anything done. Worst of all, the web page list the pet fee as $15. But when billed it is $30 per night. When I inquired, the Inn admitted the web page was incorrect but would not take responsibility for their error. I'll fight it through my credit card but what a hassle! I'm sad that I have one more pre-paid frequent guest stay. If it continues to decline, I can't imagine how bad my next stay will be. It was a great place. Was.
