We stayed with Bob for a couple of nights and he made us most welcome. He gave us plenty of ideas for places to visit and where to eat. He even help us with maps for our journey back to Boston. Great couple of days thanks Bob 


Bob is a Great Host

We spent a couple of days in this lovely B&B. We had a really good time. We were really welcomed as friends not as customers by Bob and Linda who provided for every need. Breakfast is fantastic with giant and still warm blueberry muffins..Peace and tranquility reign in this small house in the center of the village but enclosed in a small courtyard and surrounded by flowery gardens. The guest rooms are two and they share a bathroom and 1/2. We were lucky and there was no one in the next room so no sharing!! all great. Thanks again to Bob and Linda for their courtesy.

A small nest of tranquility

I traveled to Marblehead last week to experience this historic town. Harbor Gardens Inn is in a quiet, ideal location in the historic district of Marblehead. All the sights are within a 10 minute walk. The beautiful Marblehead harbor is only a 2 minute walk away. Bob and Lisa are marvelous hosts and were very accommodating, allowing me to leave my luggage when I arrived early so I could go explore Marblehead. You are treated like family, but at the same time they are not intrusive. It was great getting to know them. Bob even gave me a tour of the Marblehead Neck. Reasonable price and the perfect location. I will definitely stay there again the next time I am in Marblehead.

Wonderful inn tucked into the center of historic Marblehead

Finiding lodgings in Marblehead, close to the historic center, can be tricky - there are no big chain hotels - but Harbor Gardens is in an excellent location and the owners - Bob and Lisa - are marvelous. The Inn is also their home, so they treat you just like family and work to find every way to make your experience in Marblehead comfortable and enjoyable. I stayed with them for a week and would have been happy to stay longer. Harbor Gardens is just a few steps from the waterfront and just off the main street. Everything you would want to see is within walking distance, and the Inn is just a short walk from the bus stop if you are traveling without a vehicle of your own. I can't say enough about how great my stay at Harbor Gardens was. If I visit the area again, I will definitely be staying here.

An Excellent Stay

Beautiful home nestled in the heart of Marblehead - terrific hosts, lovely rooms, very laid back, gorgeous grounds, easy to access everything the town had to offer. We even got a "nickel" tour of the city from the 9th generation owner Bob! Would definitely recommend and would return in a heartbeat.

Short and wonderful stay

Bob & Lisa are 2 really great people. They made us feel welcome and at home right away. Make sure you take time to enjoy Marblehead, we actually came for Salem but we decided to explore Marblehead while we were there. So glad we did!! The history of the place and the beauty are something to see. They had fresh muffins for us every morning plus a variety of fruits and yogurt. I can't wait to go back and stay again. The B&B was very nice, beautiful gardens and very nice rooms. Thanks Bob & Lisa for a great time.

Awesome place

So this was my husband and my first B&B stay and it was also our 14th anniversary. So this was quite the experience for us. The Inn is located in a very quiet and beautiful area. Bob was on the front porch with a huge smile and a warm greeting when we pulled in to the driveway. The grounds are very peaceful and well groomed. Once inside we were swept away by the beautiful aroma of this charming and immaculate home...and HOME is the keyword as Bob made us feel right at home. Since it was our first B&B we were a little "bashful" but Bob swept that under the rug and did not let us feel the least bit uncomfortable. He had jokes and stories to tell at breakfast and even had us follow him out in his car to the best route home in the morning. What a super nice person. The wine rack is stacked and so is the frig and the rooms have almost everything you could possibly need. We were in the area for the Haunted Happenings of Salem, so were not able to hang out as much as we would have liked.  We had to leave extra early in the morning, but that did not stop Bob from making us a quick breakfast and even giving us some huge and delicious Blueberry Muffins for the ride home. We have wonderful memories of our anniversary spent here and hope we can come back someday and enjoy a summer stay.

Wish we coulkd have stayed longer

We only stayed one night. Our first night after 12 hours of travel. The owner is extremely kind and hospitable. We were extremely free to move around. At breakfast we had a great bagel with cinnamon and madame and even went to get us hot, very good and very nutritious muffins. I recommend this place because it's a great price/quality ratio. The house is very nice and the neighborhood is very quiet. Marblehead is a really nice village.
