I called before driving and spoke to a foreign male. He asked what kind of room I said just me and non smoking he said he had queen for 50 and king for 60 I traveled there. I arrived and assume his rude nasty wife I told her what I wanted she said would be 60 for non smoking plus 10.00 deposit I said i called 30 mins ago was told he had one queen non for 50.00 she threw my id and card at me said stay elsewhere at that point I lost my mind and said why lie she called her husband up and asked if he had spoken to me about 30 mins ago he said he spoke to a guy the guy was already there, I said your lying brought up my call log and showed the 5m call. He then stated he was out of queen non smoking that’s why was 60 insaid well YIUR rude wife said all non smoking are 60 he said to get out.  Is it my fault that they are too ignorant to understand plain English, no it’s their fault.  Then the idiot tells me to put on a mask they were behind glass and they had no mask on these people are compute idiots besides property looks like a drug motel.   I saw a rat run through the lot so I’m glad but wanted to warn others they lie on phone so don’t waste your time or money at this nasty hotel with its nasty owners.  He came out no shoes nasty stained white t shirt with his belly hanging out ewww.

we made the mistake of booking 15 days site unseen .will never do that again they act like terrorists .they have a son who goes thru the parking lot late at night looking inside all the vehicles windows while you sleep .they'er house keeper is rude and obviously a drug addict of some kind.the room we were given looked like someone had been murdered in it.i have pictures on my phone if only i could up load them onto this website .the room was filthy.all so a fire hazard. the owners keep a stray cat around just to sucker you into feeling sorry for it to catch you feeding it  so they can charge you for having a pet 100.00 dollars penalty .i had to call city council as well as the local district attorney and the local animal control to complain. all so had to call our bank and let them know we had been charged money for services not rendered .just to get my money refunded.they have big sign in office that says no refunds whats so ever. they tried to corner me in my room and verbally attacked me over being nice to the stray cat .had they'er barely english speaking daughter yelling at me .with the brother father mother grandfather and grandmother all standing earlier the next morning i caught the grandfather watering and feeding the same cat that i was accused of owening!! these people don't deserve to live in america.they act like gang members or some kind of mafia .very undesirable DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE BOYCOT THIS MOTEL if i could blackball them i would in a heartbeat!!!!!! they don't provide you with shampoo or soaps!!!

Not worth the $$$. Drive on down the road, for $30 more you will be much happier.  Place is dirty, beds are very HARD! Don't dare look in any of the nooks and crannies. There are a few more places in town that are not on TA. I would give them a chance before you Stop here.

Not Here! 

Never, ever stay at this poor excuse of a business.  The folks can barely speak English and if you book a room and NEED to cancel, your money is as good as gone...no wait, you're not getting it back!!!  Over 48 hours before check-in and no refund!  I'm in the military and if you read their "about us" tab it states, "United We Stand and God Bless America".  That is a blasphemy in the face of this American Soldier and I will see that none of my comrades ever patronize this place!

PITIFUL!!!

I'm sitting here thinking should we run now. The walls are dirty. The phone don't work. And hello... No one cleaned this phone in 5 yrs. oh and don't forget you can't get a refund!!! Oh well I'm leaving.  😬😬

Why,why,why

It is obvious that these folks pay attention to their guests, none of the complaints seem to be at issue anymore.I am a real bargain shopper when it comes to rooms, I require clean and cheap. In the Marksville area this one meets my criterion.

I didn't make reservations. Just showed up and ask to see rooms. Friendly desk help, obvious family ownership and participation., they were Katrina refugees, and excited to be in Marksville.

Room looked nice we checked in for the night and stayed 4 nights and paying daily, just  to be on the safe side. The fact we stayed 4 nights is a testament to our approval.

The real pluses are: Friendly service, fast, easy access internet connection, desk and nice office chair, good lighting, adequate wall plugs. 

Nice furniture ,, clean well made beds, Plenty hot water, takes a bit of time to get hot. Ac and heat worked well. Nice interior and exterior paint. Area appears safe, semi protective compound.  , excellent shuttle service to casino..

Rooms cleaned before 11:00 and have toiletries, etc. Has , fridge, MW. ironing board , coffee pot no coffee. Fresh coffee available in lobby , mornings only.

The not so good stuff is: Insulation could be improved around doors and ac unit. Has dead bolt lock for night time security, can be bolted from the inside but not locked from outside. The normal lock of course is secure as a deterrent during normal in  and out.
