NMU Homecoming

We were very pleased with our stay.  The hotel and room were very clean and comfortable.  The staff at the desk were efficient and friendly.  We would recommend this hotel to others and would stay here again.   Our room was facing Hwy 41.  The traffic noise did bother us, but it would likely have been quieter on the other side of the hotel.

Excellent Choice

We were only passing thru, but room very nice. Originally booked direct with them, but found deals on travel sites for half the price. Value Host matched the price. Close to everything, especially Jilbert Dairy! Recommend.

Nice room

Has a great time staying here over the 4th of July weekend. Room and Inn was very clean. For the price, it cant be beat. 
Staff was great. I left some luggage in front of my door as I was checking out. Within 15 minutes they called and stated I forgot it at the room. Very well done. Couldn't be happier. 
Great Location. 5 min from downtown. Lots of choices for food. 50 minutes away from Pictured Rocks.

Great Staff and Location

Pleasantly surprised to find the room was more than we expected. The front desk person was very nice and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and will look for more of the same hotel when we are out and about traveling.

Weekend get away

Going through a trying time with my daughter in the hospital. Martha at the desk was helpful and lovely and genuine. Had coffee and a decent breakfast going in the morning. Hotel privacy, decent comfort, weekend and granny’s feel.

Nice, affordable, personable!

My wife and I ski up at Marquette mountain on Thursday night staying over Friday to do the same. We really enjoy staying at the Valu Host due to the fact that management (Jeannie Wattson) and staff has always given us a warm welcome upon arrival and departure. They also have worked with us to try to get us in the same room (which we really love) each week even during the peak periods in that town. We love the proximity of the property to the ski hill. We are also in a very nice radius of restaurants and markets which has come in very handy the next day. All in all the Valu Host has made our skiing and social experience in Marquette a real PLUS! Thanks Jeannie and staff. Looking forward to seeing you next ski season.

Great place to relax after skiing.

We needed to go to the doctor in Marquette and decided to spend the night. I checked our normal places and found them very expensive this year. Decided to give the VH a chance. It is not fancy or special if you are looking for an experience, but it was clean and large and the staff was pleasant. It may not be a great choice if you are looking for a special weekend. It was completely acceptable if you are looking for decent accommodations at a reasonable price. We used our room savings to go out for a nice dinner. We will probably stay there again when we have medical appointments in Marquette.

Good value in Marquette

Spent the night.   Not bad, quiet, beds pretty comfortable, clean, staff Dylan and( Ian) I think, two of the front desk young men, very very helpful.  Breakfast...well, we skipped it.   All and all   Yes definately would stay again for the price.

Small group / Christmas Party

We love staying at this hotel! Especially the king suite. It is clean, comfortable and very reasonable compared to other places. It is our place whenever we are in Marquette. Great value for the money. Only complaint is no elevator but Otherwise awesome!
