We booked very last minute room as were on the run from a hotel we originally booked that turned out to be horrible. The check in process was really slow and there was problem with the card machine so had to pay in cash. The room was dated but I didn’t really mind as it was clean. The usual motel rooms issues - paper thin walls and traffic noise were really bad here. We could hear TV from the next room until late and the traffic noise was so loud I hardly got any sleep ( even with earplugs and with ac turned on to make constant white noise I was woken up by the traffic noise repeatedly). If you’re a good sleeper like my boyfriend, probably add one star to the overall rating.

Cheap and clean but not for light sleepers

Wife and I have stayed here several times. Owners very friendly and rooms always clean. Neat door to Jalepino Tree resturant. Several stores(Walmart) and other eateries close by. Have always enjoyed our stay here.

A nice stayay

The front desk people were very friendly and helpful.  The room was ready when I arrived.   Air conditioning had been running and room was cool when I arrived (it was above 100F outside).  While this motel is older and somewhat dated from a decor standpoint, it was very clean and the bed was comfortable.  Just what I needed for a one night stay.

Good stay for a good price

For a budget night on a road trip or similar, you can't do better than the Texas Inn Motel. Directly inbetween Houston and Memphis in the small town of Marshall, the Motel is close to a gym, Walmart, and next to the Jalapeno Tree restaurant which is also worth a visit. As clean and comfortable as anywhere we stayed on our trip. 

Great little place

At first we were combing through all the reviews for the hotels will local to Marshall and quite a few of them were turning us off. Almost preventing us from making the trip before we started.

We found this hotel because none of the reviews talked about being dirty, or having drug addicts running the parking lot. So we felt safer. 

Upon arriving, we found the hotel to be older,  and kind of cute according to my wife who owns the business. Our entire staff booked up about half the rooms they had, and each one was super impressed on the politeness, and cleanliness of both staff and property. You can leave your equipment outside and feel safe about it. If you have a question the owner is right there to help. 

Really could not ask for a better, more restful spot to stay at when on the road. We really enjoyed the stay and plan to be back soon!
