Have stayed there several times. As of this writing, looks remodeled, very clean, and friendly staff. This is picky but two things need attention. First, the hot water is not hot. It is warm, but not warm enough for a bath. Shower is about one notch above lukewarm. It's been the same each time I've visited. The sink water is hot. Apparently there are two different systems powering the sink and shower. Secondly, all of the lighting is fluorescent, harsh white. 

Hopefully the management will read this and consider these things.

Overall, Good

A lot of things don't work right or broken. sink sprays water everywhere, cannot adjust shower head sprays against shower wall, tv speaker rattling bad, toilet paper holder falling out of wall.not worth the money..

Needs to be remodeled

In town for husband's graduation. Econo Lodge did not require a 2 night min as other hotels. Room was clean and adequate for our needs for one night. I felt the price was fair for this property and did not have any issues. No smells, no bugs. There is an open area to hang clothes, iron and board, small fridge, microwave. Bed was fine. Breakfast typical. I would stay here again if in Martin for the night.

Met expectations

Stayed with family and two dogs. We had two rooms. The rooms were very clean. The breakfast was a adiquit, but the juice machine was broken. The staff was very nice, but the pool was closed the whole time and the kids were very disappointed!

July 4th 2019

We came here for the night. Ended up staying there bc the other 2 hotels in town were booked.
We arrived and it was hot inside the room. So we turned a/c on. It didn’t take long to find out that the a/c wasn’t working. Hotel was booked so there weren’t any other rooms available.
The door was loose.
Room was dark inside not very lit.
Beds were worn out.
Safe to say we didn’t sleep well.
Would have opened the window but there was a lot of noise outside. 
Woke up cranky and had to shower the sweat off.

Never stayed at econo lodge before my daughter enrolled at UT Martin. We have stayed here on a couple of occasions and have not had a bad stay. This last stay the lady at the front that checked us in (wish I knew her name) went out of her way to ensure our family was all in rooms together and rearranged rooms so that my elderly mother did not have to go up stairs for her room. We really appreciated that. This is our go to hotel when there.

Nice & updated

I am from Martin, TN and it is known as a college town only. My family lives there and have for over 50 years.  After leaving Martin 30 plus years ago, I visit there at a minimum of 2 times a year.  For the last few years, I have stayed at the Econo Lodge and have never experienced any problems. The hotel is not the best but there's only 3 hotels to choose from. My last visit this month for Homecoming, I reserved a few rooms. My husband and I stayed there more than 4 or 5 times. I noticed on my credit card bill that I was charged 25.00. I called and spoke to Sara who said that it was because of a missing alarm clock...really???? I don't even recall seeing a clock in our room. Surely to goodness, Walmart is literally down the road. Why would someone take a cheap a$$ clock from a run down hotel that had burn holes in the blankets, stains in the tub which I bought my own cleaning products and my some of my family that stayed in another room brought their own sheets and bedspreads, lol. We literally spent less than 15 hours over the weekend. I am really going to dispute this. If you need extra money, just ask. No standard clock is worth $25.00. We were there for my father's funeral a little over a year ago and the pool was not working. Over a year later and it was still tore completely up.

Stayed for a Family Reunion

Recently renovated with a kind and helpful staff, this hotel was a godsend.
My large extended family were staying in town for a funeral and the initial hotel across the street everyone had booked at was disgusting and unhealthy for those with allergies. My aunt found this hotel and the staff was so kind and willing to work with us at the last minute. They even rearranged reservations that had not yet checked in so all of us could be on the same side and floor together.
The management was so gracious to my cousin's many children playing in the grass out front and so understanding of our needs.
No, this was not a luxury stay, but the rooms were clean and well kept, breakfast was warm and plentiful, and the staff was willing to meet any needs we had. They even offered to let us use their grill if we wanted to.
I have some germ and cleanliness issues and I was so relieved to find this room clean and comfortable. We had about eight rooms at any given time over the course of the three nights we stayed and all of them were consistently clean and well taken care of.
In a time of great stress and sadness, the Econolodge staff took good care of us and made sure their rooms were in great shape for all of my family members.
