We stayed for a weekend at this beautiful inn that has recently been given a gorgeous re-do! Our room was so comfortable and all the furnishing were luxurious. The breakfast was delicious and we loved noshing on the snacks and homemade baked goods that were available all day! What a bonus that  it is a quick and easy ride to Tanglewood! We can’t wait to return! Thank you to the lovely innkeepers who made this weekend so special! 

An absolute gem!

This is an amazing Inn!  The Inn itself is beautiful, peaceful and relaxing; an excellent place to unwind!  Personally, I loved the library / main room!  The grounds are so pretty and watching the horses graze was very cool!  The Innkeeper, John, was extremely helpful and so knowledgeable about the Berkshires and there were always plenty of little snacks available in the dining room for us.  Just a wonderful place to vacation!

A wonderful Inn!

Inn at Richmond was a much deserved vacation getaway for myself and fiancé. It was so peaceful and relaxing, we felt enriched being on the equestrian farm and visited several horses daily. We also relaxed peacefully on the main floor of the inn, which contains a library with fireplace and comfortable leather chairs. Enjoying complimentary wine and nightcap. The amazing selection of books including local history certainly made us feel welcome and pampered.  Our host, Johnny was wonderful, he made sure we had everything we needed with that almost-knowing desire, each night he provided brochures that including daily ideas of close by adventures, a trip to the local lakes near Pittsfield were breathtaking. We shared many stories & home-made breakfast in the beautiful dining area. In the evening we enjoyed music in the renovated barn and billiard room. We definitely put this on our list of wedding venues as it is the perfect place for a wedding and guests to retreat. The Inn & cottages are wonderful, beautifully decorated, and well kept. We chose a cottage this trip. The full kitchen and living room are very appealing and a great decision. The deck overlooks a neighboring field and brought much pleasure, we enjoyed sitting there often,and to our surprise we had the pleasure of watching a fox and her 3 young kits frolic along the fence line. That’s a once in a lifetime memory we will fondly cherish. I would highly recommend Inn at Richmond to anyone looking to enjoy the quaint Berkshires towns and surrounding New York area, whatever you decide to do going back to the Inn at Richmond is a perfect way to enjoy every moment of your trip.

Inn at Richmond “Room with a View”

I booked my parents here over Thanksgiving due to a full house and from the start, Johnny went above and beyond to make them comfortable. The inn is a gem - great public spaces downstairs, the rooms are charming and spotlessly clean, and breakfast cooked by Johnny was awesome. I would highly recommend this to anyone - locals or out of town- especially given the value. Thanks for a great stay!!

Great spot!!

My husband and I visited the Inn at Richmond for three nights.  It was our first experience staying at a bed and breakfast and we had a wonderful visit!  The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were excellent.  The living rooms were cozy and full of reading materials.  Johnny, the Inn's manager, made us feel very much at home and gave us plenty of suggestions for sightseeing in the area.  We would highly recommend this Inn to anyone -- particularly those visiting Tanglewood and Lenox.

Beautiful and Comfortable Inn

We recently spent 2 nights at the Inn at Richmond and we loved it. It's a beautiful house and property. The place was immaculate and there was certainly a lot of attention to detail. Our room was beautiful with plenty of room and even had an AC unit in the living room area. Johnnie our host was very attentive and prepared two very nice breakfasts. The location is perfect for exploring the other small towns in the area like Stockbridge and Lenox.

Great B&B

Stayed here with hubby a few weeks ago, we really loved this place.  Our room was beautiful, and everything was clean and lovely.  The property is gorgeous, and the innkeeper was so friendly and helpful!  We will definitely be coming back again next year.

Beautiful Property

Wife and I had another wonderful weekend at the Inn at Richmond. Large room, traditional claw foot tub, very quiet room. As always, we enjoyed talking with host Johnnie. He is a great host who has done a lot of different things in life and is most enjoyable. The inn is a good location for exploring the Berkshires. We toured Shaker Village (just down the street), West Stockbridge (cool little town with National Geographic Photographer's studio/coffee house), Furnace Brook Winery, and hiked in Pleasant Valley Audubon Preserve. We plan to go back again. Thanks so much for supporting the Pittsfield Rotary Club annual auction!

Back for third time

Looking for a breather and retreat to get away from the busyness of our hectic schedule; my wife and I discovered this lovely abode in the Berkshire Mountains.

The settings were so peaceful and we let go with taking in the flow of tranquility as we looked out at the picturesque grounds. It was like stepping back in time but with the all the modern amenities. 

We were delighted entering the Inn. The beautiful parlor rooms and sitting areas were inviting. I wanted to grab one of my books and immediately find a comfy chair to kick back in and begin a bit of reading; just escape from it all. I made sure I came back more than once during our stay, to take in some completely relaxed time with books purchased but not previously read. Very quiet; only the sounds of birds chirping.

Entering our suite was exactly "What The Doctor Ordered". The Federal Suite was equipped with a King Size Four Poster Bed, a private sitting room and as my wife conveyed; was one her favorite amenities - THE CLAW FOOT TUB! Happy Wife...Happy Life; and she sure was happy after her repeated times soaking in this tub.

We ventured out to explore the surrounding areas and to find a place we could have lunch. In Lenox the adjacent town; we stumbled on a great restaurant, The Bistro Zinc. The atmosphere was spacious and comfortable. The menu was unique and the items we ordered were delicious. With a mid-afternoon glass of wine and their friendly servers and service; we left "Happy Campers".

We had noticed another restaurant on leaving; The Prime Italian Steakhouse. We strolled over and made reservations for dinner. Our dinning experience was excellent. The menu options could please any palate. We order "Soup To Nuts" it was all amazing.

We visited the surrounding towns on our stay, Lenox, Stockbridge, Great Barrington, and Pittsfield; all had unique boutique stores and shopping, great  eateries and a authentic New England Post Card feel.

At the Inn, we were taken on a tour of the grounds by Carl the proprietor. The passion he had when conveying the history and the renovations he has completed and the ideas he was going to implement were delightfully contagious. It was nice to be treated with this care in a world where sometimes all seems so automated. The Inn is honeycombed with suite's, little cottages, riding stables, and an overall view of the Berkshire Mountains.

It's all good...but not without Jonnie. The "Icing On The Cake" Jonnie is the caretaker, chef, concierge, conversationalist, historian and scholar. Throughout our stay he made us feel so very welcomed.

He reminded me of someone I would have been a friend of for many years. A friend from my younger days, that we would ride our bikes together to grab a coke out of the vending machine at the local gas station. A throw back from the "Good Old Days". A Host Extraordinaire...

Taking our request for breakfast every morning and chatting with us as he prepared a warm atmosphere and some awesome country breakfast delights; it was a nice way to start our day.

We will remember our time and the comfort to this "Slice Of Heaven" in the Berkshires. I suspect we will make our annual pilgrimage to this lovely inn.
