This place could use a redo. Chair cushion was ripped in two, and the heater was fussy about turning on and shutting off. This said, it's cheap even by Toledo standards, and I had no real problems. Bonus points for friendly employees. Doors open onto an interior hallway—noisier, but you don't have to deal with snow and ice in winter.

Needs renovation, but basically fine

Perfectly pleasant stay outside Toledo.  The AC was a little noisy and worked a bit less well than I'd hope, but altogether my stay was fine.  My brother and I checked in at 10:30 PM or so, and we were in our room just minutes later.

Pleasant Stay on I-80

This hotel was rundown and very dirty. Doors were left open all hours of night and it seems to be that people live there full time. Our room was supppsed to be non-smoking but we were surrounded by the smell of pot. Our shoes stuck to the floor it was so sticky and gross. Bugs everywhere! Do NOT stay here!!

People were drinking on the sidewalk. The hallway smelled of marijuana. The room smelled of smoke and mold. The phone did not work. Everything looked dirty. It advertises  breakfast, there isn't. A staff member mentioned pulling the smoke detector so she could smoke. It was not appropriate for kids, I turned in the keys and left and stayed at another hotel. I didn't get a refund for the first night.

Don't even bother. Drugs filled dump.

Been staying at red roof inn for about 3 months. So far at the 2 locations and now this location. This location I would consider to be the best one so far and being by maumee it was very pleasant and nice and good cheap pricing.

I just want to say that I truly enjoyed my stay here at Red Roof Inn Maumee - 1570 Reynolds Road Maumee, OH 43537.  The staff is friendly, professional and just all around helpful. Brent, Joy & Rashid, the whole staff, they all go out of their way to help and the rooms are immaculate. I am here twice a week and I just love this location.

The front desk staff deserve some recognition. They are the absolute best!

Great Staff, Nice Clean & Affordable

This “hotel/Inn” was the worst experience of my life. This is not a family friendly place and if you’re looking for cleanliness this sure isn’t it my friend. I understand why some pay just need a quick place to rest their head for their cheap prices, but this isn’t worth a penny! This supposed “smoking free zone” MOTEL, is anything BUT. There are random people walking around looking at the cars. The minute you step into to the building it immediately stinks of cigarettes and cat litter. Immediately I was grossed out by what I saw and absolutely bawled my eyes out because everything else was sold out. My room was horrendous!! Please be aware of stained sheets, nasty molded shower curtains, holes in the wall, dirty walls, handprints all over the head board of bed, carpet is disgusting and there is hair everywhere. Most which looked like the man with gray hair at the front desk. It’s like a dog shed all over the room. You can definitely tell nothing has been cleaned probably since the building first opened. Please do not waste your money or time and after reading the reviews after going to h trash and walking right back out I should have listened. All you see is them reply with the “this won’t happen again hope to see you next time” for years and I can’t tell nothing has been done. Around the toilet was nasty urine stains, pubic hair and lord knows what other scum. Under the beds were worse. Random things, tampon case, food, Fixtures looked like they were being ripped from the wall. Bobby pins and a ripped book in drawer. The beds looked like someone already tried it out and also the phone is ripped from the wall. I guess Goldie locks knew better and ran because those beds were nasty. On top of that you won’t feel safe whatsoever. The doors do not close properly or lock properly and it looks like people have kicked it in. I’ve tried to lock myself out and all I have to do is push the door open to even get it to open up. IT IS NOT SAFE ANYONE WITH A KEY CARD OR A LEG CAN GET IN. Women please stay safe and listen to your instincts and do not I repeat do not stay here! also, the directions it gives you to this place are wrong and maybe it’s a sign for you not to come. You will instantly regret it 🤮 here are some photos of what I mean

directions on iPhone are incorrect. When I checked in I was told it was because the cell signal is weak?! room was up a steep flight of stairs. air conditioner made an explosion noise hourly. surly person gave us “bag breakfast”. Not pleasant but clean.

Spend a bit more and you will be happier.

I would give it a zero if I could! We went to the room and immediately left. There was blood on the lamp shade and it was very dirty. The person at the desk didn't want to refund our money but he finally did after some heated discussion. Do yourself a favor and pay more to stay in a nice place!  Will not stop there again!!

"ZERO" hotel!!!

While the gentleman at the desk was very pleasant and helpful, we didn’t stay in the room for even 5 minutes. It smelled of smoke and febreez. There is a sign in the lobby, that I missed at check in that notes cleaning services are limited due to COVID. However the room wouldn’t have benefited from a simple cleaning. The beds were low to the ground, as was the toilet. The shower curtain had mold or stains at the bottom. We left right away. I realize that COVID has changed things a bit and a lack of staffing is a problem but this just wasnt acceptable. I am hoping they actually refunded my money. They did offer me another room but I declined and booked down the street at another location. I gave 2 stars because I did check the corner of the bed for bedbugs and didn’t see any with a quick glance and I am sure in an emergency situation you could make the room work but on a vacation I would book someplace else.
