Good location and near several eating places within walking distance. Some areas need updated and carpet cleaned. Mattress was good, we did sleep well.  Thats what we needed after traveling all day.  Did not realize dogs were allowed until after we checked in.

Overall the room was decent.  Trash sitting by the can near the elevator was unacceptable.  It was there for almost 2 days before being removed.  Housekeeping needs help, or more professional employees.  We had to track down housekeeping because on our 3rd day we still hadn't been restocked with towels, old towels etc removed and trash changed.  The housekeeper acted as if we were interrupting her, and we felt as if we were inconveniencing her by doing her job.  

Besides housekeeping, the only other issue was the pool.  When booking here, we wanted to make sure the pool was operational.  On the site at the time of booking it was closed for maintenance.  When we arrived, there was a sign in the elevator stating the pool was closed until further notice. I checked daily until the night before we left Florida heading for Kentucky, imagine the disappointment when we saw the sign.

I will say the breakfast was far more than I had anticipated, and since we were on the 3rd floor it was quiet.  Check in and out was a breeze and hassle free.

Housekeeping Needs Major Improvement

First this Hotel was booked with the first consideration being the pool. No where on their site does it say it is NOT AVAILABLE.  When arriving was NOT WELCOMED as a DIAMOND member. Had to ask for the Diamond  refreshment benefits. The rooms are dated with few electric outlets for charging electronics.  On the surface it appeared clean.  A closer look at the A/C showed a disgusting mix of dirt and other stuff blowing out. The bathroom had dirt in the corners, paper coming off the
 wall.  All and all not up to Hilton standards. Ranked number 1 in Maysville. If this is number one I would hate to see number two.

Find another Hotel

When we checked in for a two night stay, we were asked if we wanted the room made up after the first night. I said yes. At 10:30 am the next morning we removed the do not disturb sign, and left the hotel at 11 am. On the way out my wife asked Daryl to have the room made up. When we returned that evening, there was two towels in front of our door, on the floor. The room had not been made up. We spoke with the front desk lady, she said she came in at 3pm and housekeeping was still there. I am getting sick of Hampton’s policy of not making up rooms. This has happened in St. Augustine, Charlotte, and now here. Probably time to give up Hilton Honors and look elsewhere.

Another Hampton Disappointment

This hotel was recommended by my brother; we enjoyed our stay in the area. Hotel was clean, bed & pillows were comfortable, breakfast better than expected. Sort of a fun aside: Goodwill store is walking distance.

Maysville trip? Stay here!

The hotel was in below average shape, especially for a Hilton.  

The biggest reason for the poor rating was that the hotel was EXTREMELY loud.  When bringing this up to the evening supervisor, he said that he was aware and that they were trying to do something about it.  NOTHING got done.  After 2 hours of being loud (and now spilling over until midnight), I asked if we could be moved and was told that the hotel was sold out.  It's great that it was sold out, but if you can't give people options to move, THEN you need to be able to manage a business and this was a failure on that part.

Too loud and unable to manage the business

Room was clean, bed moderately comfortable, check-in very friendly, breakfast average. My only complaint -housekeeping knocking twice to “check if we had left” between 10-11:30 when checkout is at noon. We needed to hang out there as long as possible and we didn’t feel welcome to do so. This is an easy fix, only clean the rooms you know people have left by communicating with the front office. Most people still “check-out”. We felt rushed. Didn’t leave on a good vibe and was totally unnecessary.

Almost perfect

Good location. Poor housekeeping. My bathroom had mold all over #114. Reported the second day and nothing was done. The hotel needs to be remodel. The shower door was full of active mold. The floor was never clean. I have all the pictures to prove it. Poor management.  Sad ! Not cleaning daily is a bad idea. I was here 9 yrs aga and is still the same shape. 

Mold infested

Filthy rooms bad service loud disrespectful guests. They even tried to book my room while my belongings were in the room. Whoever the pool guy is never actually tests the water, you can smell the chlorine from a mile away. Ive been in way cheaper motels that were much better. Find another place to stay!

Yuck!

We have to travel very often for our 2 year old son's fatal ultra rare progressive neuro-degenerative disorder IRF2BPL. 

My son and I travelled from NYC to Maysville for ONE night to see a specialist at Cincinnati Children's Maysville campus. Slim pickings on accommodations in Maysville. So being that we are extremely loyal Hilton honors guests we decided that this Hampton Inn made sense since it was only 6 mins from the Dr. 

Check in was great, the stay was OK, cleanliness could have been better but for one night we were fine with it.. plus with my son's condition I always clean the room myself as well. Noise was an issue since they put us on the first floor.. which isn't in our preferences but we were exhausted and my son just needed to rest so we took the room we were assigned. Our Pack and Play was NOT in our room when we arrived.. I had called specifically the day before to make sure we would have one upon arrival..  due to my sons condition he gets tired very easy and needs to rest often. It wasn't in there so I requested that it be brought by a certain time which they did accommodate  but it ended up being a regular meal crib and not a pack and play.. whatever no biggie didn't say anything.. my son had a safe place to sleep.

Flash forward to check out, mind you this hotel was very much not at capacity by any means literally in the middle of nowhere. Up until our appointment was made with Cincinnati children's for the Maysville campus I had NO idea that Maysville existed. 

Housekeeping started harassing us at a few mins before noon aka check out. Calling, Knocking etc. Mind you we have status and are granted late check out of which I had confirmed with the front desk!! The knocking and constant bothering of course was scaring my special needs toddler. And of course interrupting us getting out of the ROOM! The actual housekeeper told me "don't worry honey take your time" and so I said thank you we need 10-20 mins max and we will be out. Mind you I always clean and tidy all of our trash, towels, etc and we TIP! and Left treats due to it being close to the holidays!! This trip my husband wasn't able to join so imagine me solo, my toddler upset with all the chaos of the staff being so rude, being in a different place to begin with, knowing he needed to be brave at the doctors appointments that were within that hour. It was a complete mess. 

Then the most appalling thing happened, the house keeping "supervisor" came knocked very rudely and threatened us and said we had 2 seconds to get out of the room. It's like come on don't you see I am literally zipping up one more bag, putting shoes on my toddler and we will be GONE! my god. IT was mortifying and so upsetting to say the least it was only 12:20pm!!!!!!!!!!!! The GM did apologize she heard the whole exchange when we were vacating. But the fact of the matter is Hilton should be ashamed that they have such a low caliber of a person working for them. An apology isn't enough when my son is literally dying with zero cure that we are desperately trying to fund and find a cure for IRF2BPL. I have never been so disrespected as a paying, loyal customer. I get that this isn't the Conrad or another higher end Hilton Property.. however again pickings are slim in Maysville.. And customer satisfaction & politeness goes a LONG way! This didn't need to happen. In any shape way or form.  If we need to go back to Maysville for our sons specialists we are really going to have to think twice about staying here again. 

Future guests be aware, you've been warned! It's a shame because again the STAY itself was bad, the guest services were atrocious to say the least.
