The folks here were friendly and our "cabin" was situated on a nice creek;  but the "cabin" was hardly adequate. It was a quickly thrown up modular with people next door that you could hear snore and running around in the morning. The bed was awful: old and lumpy. I ended up sleeping on the day bed as it wasn't quite as bad. It was quiet at least. Not worth the $250 or therabouts it cost us.

5 out of 5 … the restaurant is one of the best I’ve ever eaten in. We’ve eaten in the best in Anchorage, DC, Hawaii, Seattle etc….the menu, the food the people are amazing. “Bacon” the bartender treated us to on the fly hand crafted cocktails the best we’ve ever had. We had a pasta dish and the pasta is made daily! The Beef tenderloin was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Finally…deviled eggs! Salmon deviled eggs with house made spicy mustard. OMG!!

Perfection in the middle of nowhere

Stayed two days as part of an Alaska Bike trip. Quaint, well equipped cabin and a lovely restaurant. Unexpected pleasure this far out into the wild. The restaurant had well-prepared local seafood and the bartender introduced me to a limited-edition version of my favorite gin. Would go back.

Charming stay

Cute cabins that are family-owned and run. Comfortable beds, beautiful quilts, equipped with small fridge and microwave. Tiny bathrooms. Somewhat clean (shower was a little gross). Wifi that works most of the time. Restaurant on site for breakfast and close to a pizza restaurant and cafe.

I would not recommend this place. We were assigned  a room right next to the washroom. Next we felt un-welcome the whole duration of the stay by the service provided. 

The pictures are inaccurate.

There are better properties around and closer to Denali.

And the ladder to the loft is quite steep. But everything else makes up for this. Cabins include frig, microwave & one-cup coffee pot. But you really need to go up to the office and have breakfast against a lovely scenic background...especially if weather is nice enough to use the deck.

We arrived at the Perch around 10pm, on a necessary trip from Fairbanks to Anchorage, and the room was disgusting. Upon opening the door we were greeted by a strong stench of urine The floors were sticky to point it felt it would take your shoes off. The towels had dirt and hair. The bed had a set of pliers sitting on it. Pulling the blanket down we discovered stains, hair and crumbs on the sheets. Feeling disgusting my wife went into the bathroom to wash her hands and the sink would not drain; it only back filled with food and waste from drain. Seriously, over $250 for a piss smelling, disgusting room? We got our refund and continued on to Anchorage; there were absolutely no available rooms from Wasilla to Anchorage leaving us with no sleep or shower for our meeting the following day. Booking.com wouldn’t post our review because of the word ‘piss’, so we’re not using Booking.com again. (Unfortunately my photos won’t upload ☹️)

Disappointing and Disgusting

My husband and I stayed here for a night over Memorial Day weekend. We stayed in one of the deluxe green cabins. It was clean, cozy, and comfortable. Note: the deluxe green cabins have a bathroom in them,  the cabins right on the creek are dry, and the bathroom is shared with the other dry cabins, its adjacent to the dry cabins up a little ramp (and its an indoor bathroom not an outhouse). The deluxe cabin is small, but perfect  for 2 or 3 people! Staff was friendly  and helpful. The grounds are really nice, its a quick walk to the creek and theres some cute dogs that live on the property. The Panorama pizza pub was incredible and right on the property, highly recommend the "dirty  hippy" pizza. The Perch restaurant  was closed due to their reduced tourist season due to COVID but we really want to try it someday. We ended up booking  another stay in one of their dry cabins for later this summer. If there's any Alaskans reading this that want a great place to stay this summer I highly  recommend  the Perch! Also recommend  to any tourists that want to stay near Denali!

Wonderful stay close to Denali

It is hard to find a good hotel around denali national park, but the Perch is the one. I stayed in the perch for 2 nights. The location is pretty nice, 15min drive away from denali bus station. There is a pizza bar right next to the hotel, you can find some comfort food there, even in late night.

The room was clean and comfortable, with heating inside. The wifi has good strength, and heater was keeping the room in good temperature.

When I left, I forgot my camera in the hotel room. I did not realize that until the hotel called my phone on my way to anchorage. We had already driven 3 hours so I asked if the Perch could kindly mail my camera back to New Jersey, and they said yes! one week later I received my camera at home. I could not thank them more.

The best thing was the black lab that greeted us and had his tennis ball to fetch.

We were very disappointed with the following:
Gritty dirt on the floor 
Pillows so thin they slide between the headboard  and mattress 
No body wash in the dispenser in the shower 
No housekeeping service
A 1/8 sliver of soap for two day stay
Not a box of tissue  in the room 
No one available to check out at 11:00 AM
Uncomfortable bed
A total  lack of customer service 

We got all of this for $200 a night. There are many other cabins near Denali that will be a much better value for you.
