Wow what an experience. This was a working ranch until around 10 years ago. It is approximately 10 miles from the western rim. Accommodations are in wooden cabins with en suite. Very comfortable and cosy. Staff in the ranch were very friendly and informative. We all had burgers for our evening meal. Be warned. Chips on the menu means crisps! Entertainment in the evening is around a campfire with Cowboy Dave singing and playing the guitar. Blankets provided. Toasting marshmallows around the campfire over a clear sky listening to Dave and singing with him doesn’t get much better.
Our waitress Theresa festooned us with stories of growing up close to the ranch and what life was like.
This is the real Wild West.
Highly recommended.

A real taste of the Wild West.

We spent one night, but when we got into bed we noticed that there was a blood stain on the sheet that was not ours.  Because this was not ours, we removed the sheet.  This is not hygienic of course.  We reported this to the young lady when checking out, but nothing else was done. This is not normal practice.

So when you go there check it . If the lady in the morning had handled it better, we would not have posted this.

Cowboy Keacy great by the way. Food in the evening also great.

Blood on sheets

I didn't want a long drive from Vegas to Phoenix and also wanted to see Grand Canyon so needed an overnight stay close to the Grand Canyon. This place fits the bill and it is a throwback to simple living. Out here you won't get a cell signal or Internet or TV. You will get great hospitality, food and entertainment. The cabins are cosy and fully equipped with AC units to keep you warm (or cool if you like). The main restaurant area is nearby and Cowboy Casey will entertain you whilst you eat. I was too tired for the evening by the fire but that sounds like a blast. All staff very friendly the water is fresh mountain spring and it tastes like it. Coffee,Tea and hot chocolate is complimentary. The only minor negative is the variety of food only 1 vegan/vegetarian dish and no fish option. The food I did eat is cooked well. Overall a very pleasant stay.

An amazing experience living out in the sticks 

We had a wonderful time here. Very tasty burger and truly enjoyed Cowboy Dave serenading us! There is so much history in this beautiful little ranch. If I come back to the area, this will definitely be on the list of places to stop! Thank you for a wonderful time. 😊

Absolutely amazing!

Stayed for one night. Arrived at 3 pm for check in. We had spent the day at the west rim, so it was very nice to not have to drive back to Vegas. Very cute, rustic cabin, loved the rocking chairs on the porch, must admit I spent lots of time on them, despite the chilly air. Ate dinner at the restaurant, best ribeye I have had in a while, such a big portion we could have shared one plate. Then one of the best parts was the campfire with songs, s’mores, and laughter. Cowboy Casey just made our stay. The only thing that was a let down was we couldn’t get a horseback ride when we checked in, only one wrangler. Didn’t have time to book for the next morning at 9 am as we were heading out at that time. Still amazing time at this ranch.

Authentic expierence.

We stayed at the Grand Canyon Western ranch for 4 nights in January.  We bought a Travel Zoo vouchers and we're so glad we did.  The ranch is only 15 miles from Grand Canyon West and the Skywalk and 2 hours from  Las Vegas.  We had the most relaxing time at the ranch.  Everyone there is so friendly and would do anything for us.  It snowed 6 inches overnight, a rare event there.  Someone cleaned off our car (rental cars from Vegas don't have snow/ice scrapers.  The food, though limited, was delicious.  We enjoyed a horseback trail ride with spectacular views of Spirit Mountain.  We also had fun at the shooting range. The nightly campfires were fun and we met some nice folks from UK and Australia.  I highly recommend the Ranch.

Beautiful and relaxing

It was raining when we got there, so Casey kept us and the kids entertained inside and we played games. The Ranch had an amazing view of a huge mountain.
The next morning it was snowing. We drove to the Scenic Rim, but the snow got heavier and we came back for breakfast, snow fights, and we got to fire some guns with Casey which was a novelty for us.
Casey was a great host, the kids loved him. The ranch itself is great, rooms are nice and warm. It was a great small detour from Las Vegas to break up our trip.
Food and Activities are extra, but well worth it.

What an Adventure!

Ranch was ans the staff was very friendly.  I went during two very cold days. Clearly the weather took away from an almost perfect experience. Was fun playing with Cowboy Dave at the fire pit even in the cold and rain.  Never will forget that.  In 2023 the lodge at least should have internet.  If the gift shop in the Grand Canyon Location can have it so can the ranch.  Some busy people need to stay in touch with the world and it's bad enough you can't get cell service so internet is even more important.  Had fun.

Almost perfect stay even with bad weather

We picked this sight unseen off the internet, and it was exactly as advertised. We loved our 3 days here!!! Food was great. I had read a review to go to into town for dinner instead...don't! Eat at the ranch, you will not be disappointed! We met the nicest folks and had fun and laughs at dinner, then continued it at the singing cowboy campfire. The view is amazing, and sitting on the front porch of our cabin, in the horse wagon wheel rocking chairs was a relaxing break to a 10 day road trip. We took an excursion to the emerald cave kayaking, did the sunset horse back ride and of course the west rim of the grand canyon. Staying at the ranch gets you to the Grand Canyon well before the buses from Las Vegas to avoid crowds and lines.  If you are looking for something a bit different, stay here. 

We loved it! 

Absolutely fabulous time. Stayed two nights. All staff were superb. Food was fantastic. Cabins were brilliantly rustic but so cosy & warm. Cowboy Dave was such an excellent entertainer and was such a lovely guy. We rode horses, done shooting and made great friends whilst there. They were so accomodating and took us to the Canyon too! All in all such great memories were made. Thank you guys soooo much. Xx
