We stay in several motels every year, and this is undoubtedly the worst experience we've ever had.  The hairdryer did not work, there was no hot water, the towels were thin, worn out and stained, and there was no WiFi.  When we mentioned this to the "manager", he just stared blankly at us.  I'd love to have positive comments, but there are none.  There was honestly nothing "just OK", as everything was bad.

The worst motel ever.  

Hello all yelpers. I cannot stress this enough. NEVER. I mean NEVER. Do business with this hotel.

I don’t really write reviews but it is currently 2 in the morning and we have no place to stay because the people who run this circus are rude, uncaring, money-hungry imbeciles. 

Before making a decision to stay here I recommend reading the dozens of other reviews that complain about bugs, structural integrity, overall cleanliness of sheets and bedding, finding drug paraphernalia, homeless surrounding the building 24/7, and most importantly the greedy, inconsiderate people who operate the front desk. I think the most proof I can offer are my fellow reviewers who have also been victimized by their uncivilized behavior. 

My boyfriend and I are on a road trip from the Sacramento area to Vancouver over the course of seven days, requiring long periods of driving. During those long driving periods I looked up the hotel we had booked a few days prior, the Royal Crest. With such a nice name a rate of 80 dollars per night (a price which plummeted for obvious reasons) it seemed like a decent choice at first glance. Upon further review I read the horror stories depicted by other Yelpers and soon realized that we made a mistake booking this hotel. We called our third party booking company we used to find this hotel and explained the situation. They contacted the hotel who refused to give us any sort of refund, which was somewhat understandable. Despite our reluctance, we needed a place to sleep so we came to the doors of the inn. A man showed up to the front desk and asked for the name and as soon as we said the name our reservation was under, this man said “we aren’t renting to you”. We were stunned silence until the man explained that he wasn’t going to let us stay because of the fact we tried to cancel. We were like okay, so when can we expect our money back. He told us there were no cancellations this late. We told him we weren’t canceling we were being refused service, which is well within his rights, but he can’t just keep the money for a room we weren’t allowed to stay in. He refused to return our money and we left the property. The third party company also could not talk sense into the man so we are now driving 5 more hours home at 2am because we can’t afford another hotel. 

Long-winded story aside, ALWAYS do your research and NEVER stay at the Royal Crest.

Worst hotel ever

Cockroaches dead and alive ... dirty and smelly as well. Manager was very callous and unsympathetic. Beware! This is a scam to take your money! Why would they clean or get rid of them when they don't have to refund your $. Has a really 3rd world feel to it if you like that sort of thing!

How did it get two stars?? WiFi doesn’t work, no remote for  tv and you need it to change channel, all the chairs are falling apart and they don’t tell you about the $100 deposit till you get here, plus if you decide to cancel they charge you the room rate anyways!!

Don't know why people are talkin bad about this place, They were Very Nice, Helpful, the room #243 Was Very Nice, Clean, smelled good. Door shut and locked securely. Good drapes window opened and locked well. Great A/C worked well, was clean. New carpet, new chair, bed a little soft for me, but good, love those heavy hotel pillows. Big, BIG Tv. good channels, nice heavy furniture, New tile in dressing area, Fridge, Microwave, Coffee maker. No Window in Bathroom, Was excellent, Very Clean, Toilet Secured to Floor. Water Pressure? Not only was it a lot it was Very Warm. Great Shampoo & Soap. towels a little hard,  but very clean, smelled great.      My Experience Was Excellent.

Front desk not to friendly hotel is situated on the main drag in the same parking lot as a gas station internet doesn’t work room is dirty and needs paint and upgrade first thing i always check is the bedspread there was holes in the sheet and dried blood spots smelt like smoke in a non smoking room i will be sleeping in my clothes tonight 

Next choice please

Stayed here because it was purchased FOR us last minute. 
We pulled in and were greeted with three very clearly drug effected people fighting in the parking lot shoving a shopping cart at each other. Went to the room and it was WORSE. This place is home to some people. We only stayed here because it was so late by the time we checked in that driving home was not an option. Do NOT stay here

Omg this place is TERRIFYING 

This is the cheapest hotel in Medford. Next to the freeway so it’s loud. The photos in their marketing look nothing like the rooms themselves. There’s lots of broken items including mirrors in the toilet seats are worn out. The walkway used to be covered in linoleum but they just pulled that off and now all you have is the leftover adhesive. Everything is stained including the chairs and there were multiple burns on bedspreads. It was $20 cheaper than the Rodeway Inn which surely cannot be this bad. 

Don’t stay here. Scary.

You get what you pay for

OUR TODDLER FOUND A CRAP PIPE UNDER THE BED - DO NOT STAY AT THIS LOCATION 

Almost immediately after finding drug paraphernalia under the bed we brought it to the hotels attention and checked out. When we asked for a refund we where told no because we could have found it the night before. I’m not sure how this matters considering either way it’s still illegal and incredibly dangerous. When I called back when the manager was on shift I was told again no refund, I asked for the Owner and he said he didn’t have to give me that information and hung up on me. 

Not only where the Incredibly rude but completely unsympathetic. 

Crack pipe found 

Not a very good experience, shower was dirty. Bathroom was in bad need of repair, the water pressure was decent but just an overall rundown feel to this motel. The drawer completely pulled off when I went to open it. Most definitely a budget hotel. No fresh fruit on the breakfast, very minimal options.
