This hotel was great for the price and rooms have been updated and everything worked well in them 
I would use again on future trips . Staff was great and efficient. The only suggestion would be breakfast, they offer coffee and juice, we used refrigerator and microwave for breakfast.

Nice stay passing through one night

We stayed here for the night while traveling home from a vacation. The place is clearly older and could use some updating and minor repairs (trim around bathroom sink was coming off).  However, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable so we got a good night's sleep.  My main complaint is that although "Free Breakfast" is listed as an amenity and "Breakfast Included" is prominently displayed on the photo in the hotel listings, they do not provide breakfast.  All they offered was coffee and juice.  One of the amenities we looked for in booking this hotel was a free breakfast, so it was very disappointing to find that their advertising was false in that regard.

Clean & Quiet but No Breakfast

We stayed here 5 or 6 years ago but had to enter a date. We stayed here as we were going to visit the Shipsewana Flea Market in Indiana. This hotel was just across the state line in Michigan. It was a basic Indian run motel with all the charms and atmosphere that go along with such an establishment. They were supposed to have a pool but that was filled in a couple years prior. They were supposed to have a restaurant but, that too, was close prior. It was convenient since we had never been to this area but now know there are other choices closer to the highway  
 It wasn't terrible but wasn't great. It was average. We did get to see a double rainbow while there.

You get what you pay for

it was nice very clean updated interior big bathroom was a nice nights sleep after a very long haul home  big nice bed would recommend t0 anyone stay again service was good as well will be down that way again and going to stay there

going home trip

After driving for two days I booked a room with a hot tub to relax after a long trip. it was $140 for the night. Outside of hotel looked under construction, but inside the room reeked of mold, the hot tub control knobs were broken and didn’t work, hair dryer didn’t work and when notification of the problems , I was told you must push the button hard for it to work. For the price it was a complete ripoff and nothing met standard, we will never stay at another travel lodge again. Spend the $$ and stay at the Hilton!!

Hot tub nightmare

So we booked this hotel on booking.com and it was the only hotel that popped up in the area so we went ahead and booked with them. It has a clean exterior a little outdated looking throughout the property. We had a King bed room that had a mini fridge and microwave in it. The room itself was a little outdated as well could use some fresh paint maybe new chair. The bathroom had a bathtub but to my dismay it had no stopper to use in it. I was highly disappointed because I was very much looking forward to a hot bath. The bed was a little hard but had great pillows so that made up for it. Also for a busy hotel we literally heard or hardly ever saw anyone. I would stay at this hotel again. 

Decent place to stay

great staff! nice hotel. no pool or breakfast but we lived through it. great mom and pop restaurants nearby. and we were kayaking too so really didn't need a pool :)  i even forgot my pillow and they contacted me 10 minutes after we left for me to return to get it. 

river break

This building used to be a Holiday Inn way back when. You can tell it used to be a very nice place to stay and swim and eat.
The building now is very old, with crumbling brick on the exterior, blistered walls with water damage on the interior, and just looks very tired and sad.

The housekeeping staff is on point. Even though the place itself looks crusty, it is very clean. Especially our bathroom. No worries on that front.

There is no breakfast. Juice and coffee only. Which is a bummer because you can smell food cooking somewhere on the property. If you look at the property on Google maps you can see where the pool was filled in. Bummer.

This place will suit your needs if you are a weary traveler and just want to sh!t shower and sleep. Not bad for an overnight. We stayed several days, and would have gladly paid more per night for more amenities.

Sturgis is kind of a disappointment of a town anyway. I guess it's the perfect hotel for Sturgis if you think about it. 
Used to be nice, now is kinda crusty.

Meets basic needs for an overnight stay

They charge your card even if you prepay for the room ahead they still charge your card full amount plus 100 dollars everyday extra. They say you will get that money back and you'll never see it. When brought to attention they charged my card again for a full week plus my husband's card that was on file then told us to leave they weren't letting us stay . When asked to be refunded they stated dispute it at my bank. They called me a liar even after pulling my account up infront of them the police was called.

Will dbl charge your credit card

Dirty room and disgusting bathroom. If you have a choice between this location and tent with sleeping bags CHOOSE THE TENT.
Bathroom had built up dirt in the corners and lime/dirt/mold on and around the sink and faucet. Beds were cheap and noisy.
