We liked it. It was quiet though we did have an issue with torrential hurricane rains. The run off created some noise but those were exceptional circumstances. Desk folk were pleasant and helpful. This is a very small town but the desk clerk helped us to find food and gadoline.

Very basic but comfortable

Our journey started in Bangor and followed the eastern shore up to Campobello Island in New Brunswick. The Red Barn Motel in Milbridge was the halfway mark for easy daytrips in either direction. Front desk rep was helpful. Room was clean. Beds were comfy and included four pillows. Plenty of vanity, counter, and table space. Shower pressure good and water hot. Also the windows opened up for some cool night air! Grounds are well groomed. Would book again.

Base camp for day tripping Downeast...

We stayed here during our Maine Four Corners motorcycle trip.  Price was very good, friendly staff, walking distance to restaurant and store.  Clean and quiet. Spacious grounds with a great view. I would stay here again.

great people and I would go again, and I just might be going again, to see the leaves changing it was pouring rain when I got there but that did not stopped me for having a very great trip that I was going to enjoy, and I went to my friend,s grave to spend some time with him

We wanted a place to stay away from tourists on our way to Bar Harbor from Canada, and we found this place. Very helpful staff, on site garden, near the river. The room is huge and clean. There is a small park on the ocean nearby where you will be the only ones there.

Nice motel in a tiny town

Needed a stopping off place on our trip from Lubec, Maine back home to New Hampshire and this provided a simple and economical place to stay.  Nice setting on a riverfront visible from the back of the property, and there was a garden plot where we were able to pick some veggies for that days lunch.  Not fancy but adequate.

The Petit Manan National Wildlife Refuge was within a 1/2 drive and we enjoyed a  walk there in the woods and along the shoreline.

Clean, updated, and good value

We stayed here for 3 nights the end of September 2021.  Beautiful setting looking out on the water and a lovely garden!  Our room was excellent!  Clean, great service at the office!  It does close at 8:00 pm.  so be sure to get there or call.  Chairs were provided to look out over the water (not sure if it was a bay or river).  Absolutely relaxing and beautiful!  The garden is shared with the community and if something is ripe you are welcome to it.  We loved this motel as our base to see Downeast Maine!  We visited the Quody Head Lighthouse, Eastport and Matthias.  Great restaurants close to the Red Barn Motel. We would definitely stay here again!!  Highly recommend!

Love this hidden gem!

We chose the Red Barn Motel during a week long trip in Maine - we wanted an affordable break from tenting. The Red Barn Motel was affordable - but more importantly, it was Amazing!!!! Great view of the river, with a sloping green, grassy field. There is a community garden onsite with vegetables and flowers available to guests. We saw butterflies, dragonflies, etc. on grounds. It is about an hour outside Bar Harbor and SUPER affordable - clean - well managed!

The Red Barn Inn in Milbridge, Maine is a hidden gem. The Inn is immaculately clean. The furnishings are modern, but simple. WiFi was fast and easy to connect to..The view from the back balcony is breathtaking. You will bot be disappointed in staying at The Red Barn Inn.

Breathtaking views at budget prices!

The Red Barn Motel in Milbridge Maine is where we decided to stay for our pre 15 th wedding anniversary. It was a very nice motel. Very clean. Super comfortable beds and all of the staff we came into contact with was very nice. The rooms are very large. The only thing that was not good was the light outside our window. It kept the room lit all night. They need longer and darker blackout shades. Other than that it was great. Just know that there are not too many restaurants around and the ones that are here have very funny hours. Maine is breathtaking and Milbridge is a quaint, quiet little town away from all of the chaos of other larger cities. I would highly recommend it.
