We were in the Africa room-- it was an experience! We could have just hung out there. But there were so many cool little shops and bars nearby that we were disappointed that we couldn't stay longer. This town is a cool secret. Go before it gets out!

Interesting and cool place

I cannot possibly say enough about this incredible place.  My husband and I stay here every time we visit my son. Most recently he was quite ill and we were there for almost a week.  Ginger and the entire staff were incredible. We will never stay anywhere else. Worth every penny... you will NOT be disappointed.

We stayed one night at Soho to be close to a business meeting location.  The loft is a nice suite with extensive kitchen.  We stayed in the Madison room.  All four suites are on the second floor accessed by a long, steep staircase.  Parking is on the street or in one of the nearby public lots.  We had no problem with parking.  It could be a problem on busy days in town.  The loft has many "homey" touches -- robes, slippers, K-cups, special soaps and the like.  There are plenty of outlets for chargers and digital devices.  We had a comfortable stay.  The street below was pretty busy and noisy with foot traffic from  the college, even after midnight.  We will go back next time in Milledgeville.

Convenient to downtown and colleges, very comfortable

The Soho Lofts are affiliated with the Antebellum Inn B&B, and it is through them that you check in.  Once you've secured yours keys you head to the heart of down town and locate parking (not always the easiest of feats, but with a few minutes of circling I dare say you will find an open spot within convenient distance to the Lofts).  The lofts are located on the second floor of Corner Location literally dead center of the Historic District, and the convenience of that location cannot be over stated.  If you are there for any busy on the Campus you are within walking distance of everything and can literally leave your car parked for the duration of your stay unless you venture out of town.  The walk up to the rooms is a long flight of stairs, and if you have issues with stairs I recommend looking elsewhere.  Upstairs the lofts are a group of 4 suites, each decorated in a different motif, and each nicely appointed with a full eat in kitchen, including a full sized fridge with ice and water in the door, plus complimentary bottled water in the fridge;  a cook top counter, an apartment sized dishwasher, a Keurig Coffee Maker with ones nights worth of K-Cups, and the glasses, plates, silverware and cookware necessary to seat 4.  The Livingroom is comfortable and the large TV carries a full area of cable selections.  The bed room contains a King Sized bed that will envelope you like a warm embrace, and bathroom is well stocked with toiletries by Bath & Body Works.  Each room comes equipped with Terry Robes in the closet and his and hers slippers in the Bathroom.  For the price of an upscale Hotel Room you have the luxury of a small apartment and a location that is unrivaled in its convenience to things.  Our disappointments, such as they were, are that despite being affiliated with the B&B, no breakfast is provided.  It would seem a simple matter to offer the option to guests to drive a couple of blocks over for breakfast in the morning (or walk it's not far).  Also, the walls are not as well insulated as you would think, and certainly less than a standard hotel.  I should not be able to hear if someone is using a hair dryer in the next suite from mine.  It was all in all though an enjoyable experience, and we would use them again when visiting Milledgeville.

Great Location, Great Experience

Dirty.  Not clean.  Simple complaints.  Floor in bathroom was nasty, as well as the tub. Not clean.  None of furniture had been wiped down.  
Bed was horrible: uneven, felt like you were falling out of bed. My wife slept in the middle -- I slept on love seat in living room. Also, we were placed in a suite that we did not book.  If this was representative of all of the Soho Lofts -- I can only imagine the state of the other rooms.
