The cabin we took our grandsons to was a dump 😡 cobwebs and dead bugs everywhere the screens were ripped and we all felt dirty when we left there don’t drink out of the cups or use the dishes I’m not sure when anything was last cleaned!! Do yourself a favor and find another place to stay !!! I can’t believe how they make it look in the pictures because it looks nothing like them …. It’s really to bad because it could be really really cute !! Oh yea put a chair under the door handle because none of the locks work !! It’s a DUMP

Horrible

We just spent a week at this resort and I would strongly recommend this resort as a family friendly. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The whole family is so friendly. Tammy and Nicole always had a smile and could not have been nicer to everyone. They had activities for the whole family to do. The cabins were very clean and welcoming when you walk in the door and every cabin is rustic with modern amenities. This is a great place and for the price you pay it is in the higher than average rating. We left feeling like we were friends and would like to come back again soon.


A week to Unplug from the world.

Fantastic trip starting on May 20.  Stayed in Raccoon cabin which was spacious, clean, and met all our needs.  Sincere appreciation for the quality of service provided by staff.  Their work is demanding and they have my respect that’s for sure.  Definitely recommend this place

Great trip

We have been going to Northland Lodge every August since 2018.  There are so many fun activities for children and they are all complementary - with small, fun prizes for the kids!  The playground should be updated, though.  More fun activities for adults would be great.  There are some like the cornhole tournament, but we miss the Family Olympics and "No rules kayak race" that they had the first two years we were there, and the children's ski lessons.  I'd also recommend adding "Carpetball" to the game room.  Would be easy to make one with instructions online.  The Volleyball net needs to be replaced.  It sounds like I'm criticizing, but believe me, we had such a great time again this Summer.  Just a few suggestions if they can be made.  Highly recommended by a five-year customer!

So Much Fun!

The resort has been our high event for the summer the past 5 years running.  It is everything a person could ask for to disconnect from the electronic world.  Cell service is spotty, WiFi is available but don't tell the kids.  Speaking of the kids the resort has daily activities for the kids and a great harbor to protect your boat from any possible storm.  One year we did have a large storm roll through and the rock walls of the harbor did a great job protecting the boats from 4+ foot waves. It is a family run chain of resorts that work together to accommodate pretty much any need you may have.  For the fishing person(s) the resort provides a free of charge cleaning and butcher paper wrapping of your catch, which are hand delivered to you at your resort.

A great place to unplug!!!!

We rented the Paul Bunyan’s cabin 
Black mold. Warped floors.  Loaded with spiders web and spiders nest   Deck railing is so loose it’s scary. 
Bring your own coffee cup unless you like 1oz coffee at a time.   Doors can’t be locked when you leave.  Holes around AC and windows.   So it’s loaded with mosquitoes at night and day
The views were amazing though

Gentlemen rudely approached me and said we don’t fly them colors up here. He said those are loser colors and we don’t fly them in the north
I had southern flag shorts on with words that said rebel on them. He tried telling me it’s offensive to other family’s and ethics. But when you start swearing at me and telling me those are loser colors Your taking personal. I’ve never ever had anyone say anything else before.
I guarantee you go check out country boy farms in the area. You’ll see the southern flag

It is with sadness that I write this review as we have been going to this resort for 25 years. The previous owner passed away recently and the new owner, his daughter, has taken the helm. When we arrived we were not greeted or even welcomed to the resort. We felt like an interruption not a welcomed guest. Our cabin was not clean, the bathroom toilet was filthy and had to be cleaned before anyone could use it. There were cobwebs in the lamp shades, and on the walls. A chair on the front porch was broken and the jets in the whirlpool tub didn't work. The silverware had food still on them and were in the drawer for us to use. On Saturday afternoon it was so windy and cold we wanted to sit at the fire pit and we were told that they didn't do bonfires until 8 pm. I went and found some wood to burn. Finally they brought so.e wood (5 pieces) which lasted 30 minutes. So I sent my son-in-law to ask for more. The dock boy told the owner they should give us wood because we could go into town and get our own so what would be the difference. She reluctantly gave us firewood. In the wind we would have never left the fire unattended. We felt so unwelcomed.

When I went to check out, the new owner was standing behind the counter, she never acknowledged me, never asked how our stay was nor did she ask if we wanted to rebook next year. I felt like she didn't care that we were there.

It is sad Warren is gone now. He gave our family so many fond memories at the resort and we were hoping to continue building memories; however, it's time to move on. This resort has gone downhill. Cabins need painted, furniture is outdated, cleaning is not where it should be and lastly, the hospitality just isn't there.

Such a Disappointment

Cabin was great, the staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of activities each day for families They have done a lot of improvements and were busy working on more!   A hard working group and we will definitely be back!!

Had a FABULOUS time!

My family and I have been coming here for years, and unfortunately this year it has come under new ownership. I want to give them a lot of grace due to taking on a resort in the middle of a pandemic, but unfortunately the experience was so unsatisfying that we have already found a different resort to go to next year. We ended up spending three hours cleaning our own cabin when we got there because it was so dirty, and this was despite the owner reassuring me that they had “upped” their cleaning procedures due to Covid. When I pointed out the condition of the cabin to the sister of the owner, she rolled her eyes and said “I must have forgotten to finish this cabin, we only have 6 hours to clean all 18 cabins you know”. She did offer to clean the cabin at that point, but when we asked her to please wear a mask when inside with us due to Covid she rolled her eyes and we decided we better just clean it ourselves. We connected with a couple families we knew from previous years, and they reported their cabins were filthy too and they cleaned them themselves as well. The lake is beautiful, and the spot can’t be beat, but unfortunately I fear this resort will be going downhill fast if the new owners do not get their stuff together and be able to manage the bare minimum of cleaning the cabins between visitors. I can not recommend that anyone stay here unless the new owners make some serious changes.

Really has gone downhill with new owners

We just spent the week, as a family of 10, in Bear Tracks cabin. This was our first time there. The staff were so kind and accomodating. Our 3 1/2 year old granddaughter   made a new friend, Ruby. There was something to do, every day, for all of us...ranging from ages 67 to 9 months. The weather was beautiful, as was the cabin. Our family would HIGHLY RECOMMEND  Northland Lodge to all!!!
