Arrived at Beachside 2 for our annual November trip. Weather was good. Pool was to be heated as usual but was not. Water temp was a not swimmable 71 degrees. Management said that it was only seasonably heated. I would think that November should qualify. We called several other condo  complexes in the area and they all had warm pools. With 2 small children who wanted to swim this is very disappointing. I would suggest booking elsewhere.

Disappointed

We stayed in Unit 4203 by Ocean Reef vacation rentals. Upon arrival there was a strong Urine or Mold smell. The unit looks tired , old and not well maintained , as well as the buildings surroundings, lobby & elevators. 
Very overpriced. I would call this a 2 star hotel.
Generally not the kind of place I want to stay for a relaxing vacation
Cons- dirty scatter rugs
           -sticky coffee table with crumbs
           -dusty plants 
           -rusty, dusty vent covers
          -furniture was dirty and worn
          -overall a dirty feeling in the place
         -old,chipped  and, dirty outdoor furniture
Pros- beachfront location
         - towels, sheets, microwave & frig. were clean
         -tho it felt unclean, living, dining space was spacious
for literally a few dollars more - could have stayed at the nearby Hilton.

Location was the key here, beautiful views of the gulf from the balcony and from the bedroom. Right on the beach, just a few steps out the door and you’re on the sand. Unit in the picture was somewhat different than the actual unit. Older and not as upgraded. Pool was nothing special.

We travel quite a bit and stay in condos throughout the US. Condo 4343 at Beachside II was a disappointment. Washer, dryer, and pull out bed were broken. We called maintenance multiple times to get someone to fix them but no one showed up. The condo did not have sheets for the pull out bed. We had call to have them bring a set of sheets.

Sandestin Beachside II condos were disappointing

The beach of a thousand umbrellas….  Beachside 2 is way overcrowded due to giving no guests access.  Beachside 2 has a security officer keeping their beach less crowded.  See pic to truly appreciate.   The umbrellas are 6 rows deep!!!  Plus non commercial chairs in front and behind them.   The condo itself was nice.

Sigh - Very underwhelming to say the least. Pool was subpar and if you venture out to the beach you will be greeted with a sea of chairs and umbrella owned by the resort. which makes for a view of the ocean nearly impossible. 

Underwhelming 

We have stayed in the area various times but thought we would try a new condo. the view from the 14th floor, amazing, access to the beach, wonderful and the fireworks on Saturday were a great surprise.  The condo itself needed some major upgrades, it was like someone purchased it in the 90's and just left everything the way it was.  Could have been cleaner.

Stayed at Hulu, was promised a partial beach view that I didn't get.  The suite was spacious but regular.  Nothing great.  The closest restaurant to our room was a little on the expensive side.  Perfect if you don't need all the bells and whistle and just a decent place to stay.  

Average at best

Great set up. Spectacular view, they don't call it the Emerald for nothing.Room was very clean and house keeping was always present checking with you to make sure you were comfortable. Played golf and the course was in excellent condition. We will be back soon.

couples get away

This was our first time staying at the Beachside ll property in Sandestin.  A very chilly weekend but enjoyed the beautiful views from our balcony and long walks on the white sand beach.  Had a fabulous trip and will definitely be back!
