Room is dirty and smells of mold. Had a late night check in with a reservation when we arrived no air on in room felt to be 100degrees or higher in the room 1 hr in and still net cooled off you would think that if you had a guaranteed reservation you would think past your nose and turn the air on so it would be cool. Cobwebs all over the room long black hairs in the tub and on the toilet. Just drive passed and stay somewhere else  for your own health

Should pay you to stay here

The owners have no handle on the English language. Trying to communicate is near to impossible. Room was not clean, dirty wash cloth hanging on the shower curtain. It says the is a hair dryer but nope. When to office to ask for one, lady I spoke with I do not think understood what I was asking.  It's cheep for a reason, you get what you pay for. Just keep driving.

Just keep driving to Sikston

I'm not sure about the other people who reviewed this location.... but here is a REAL review..

When I initially called to booked this place. I was told by the gentleman that answered the phone that I needed to go online to Booking.com to reserve our room. I went online to book it and there were no 2 beds available, so I called back to the hotel and they told me there indeed 2 beds left. I explained to him that they were not showing up online. He was VERY hard to understand and as I was trying to make my reservation with him I wasn't even sure that he clearly received it. I had to call back the next day just to make sure it was reserved.

When we arrived to check in the price was $64 per night with taxes included, over the phone it was $54. The pictures you see on their website are a bit deceiving. If you think you are pulling up to a Hotel you're not... it's a motel with about 15 rooms.

We checked in left our bags and came back later that night, the flying bugs around the lights were so bad we could hardly get in our room. Finally got inside and what do we see?, a roach on the bathroom floor. There was only one set of towels so I had to go to the office to get more AGAIN fighting the millions of bugs around the lights by the office. 

We were supposed to stay 2 nights, needless to say we checked out the next day. As I was checking out in the office there was another roach on the floor in the tiny lobby near the counter.

We won't be staying here again.. 

Just Keep Driving to Sikeston... 

The room for the price was nice and clean. It was close to the highway and other restaurants. It had a refrigerator and a coffee maker inside the room. The air conditioner was not on when we checked in so the room was hot from the June weather. It smelled musty. It takes a half hour to 45 minutes for the room to cool and the smell to go away. It must be a cost control measure. 

The customer service was lacking  when I checked in.  There was no explanation of ammeneties. I had to call later for the Wi-Fi password. I had to ask about the gym next door that was included in the stay. I can only imagine how many prior customers did not know they could have  used the gym.

Not a bad stay

We were on our way to drop off my son at Ole Miss and needed a place to stay for a night. Cairo was the perfect distance, so we looked for places nearby. Cairo is a sad, abandoned town that used to be a bustling port city at the confluence of the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers. But there is virtually nothing left of it, as we found out when we tried to find a breakfast place. 

We reluctantly booked a night at the Eagle Inn since we prefer locally owned places, and there were only two other hotels nearby, both low end chains.  We were pleasantly surprised.  When we went to check in, I was having second thoughts and wondered if we should just keep going until we found a Holiday Inn Express or Marriott Courtyard.  It seemed awfully run down, although the proprietor was nice. 

We drove over to our room (it’s a real motel), opened the door and found a clean, fairly updated room.  The beds were comfortable, the shower was great, and we didn’t have any of the smell that others have complained of.  Granted, we spent barely any awake-time there, but it was what we needed for a great price: clean, comfortable, and convenient. Just don’t expect to find breakfast in Cairo. 

Surprisingly Nice

Stopped here for one night, on arrival the room had a distasteful smell & had to leave the door open for a while to air the room out & was so hot, it's obvious that the room had been shut up for a long while, even the air conditioning failed to cool the room although on all night, WiFi was rubbish, at first couldn't get my mobile phone to connect up,  the owner did help me with this, but WiFi kept dropping out & never did get my tablet or my husbands mobile phone to connect to WiFi. Room was only just acceptable, a bit dull & dingy & had a fairly large crack in the window glass, we wasn't 100% happy here, if it wasn't for the fact  we had booked this thru Booking.com we would have turned around & left but would have lost the one nights stay fee!

Disappointing

Stayed here as one of the "Eclipse Children". Reserved the room and got price gouged when I got it. (Was going to have 3 people in the room but ended up with 2, since another room came open. Still charged me the same price for 3, even though we were getting another room.) Room was musty and dank.cable didn't work. These people seemed sketchy. I'd get a room elsewhere.
