I long for the days at the Old Mill. But you can catch fish above its foundations left when the Pomme de Terre River was flooded by the then "Kaysinger" dam. My Dad and I were among the first to use the Osage Bluff Lodge and Marina. The motel is being remodeled by the Reynolds family and the updated marina is still under the watchful eye of Emily, who specializes in no-nonsense customer care. Jason (a two-lake-record-fish-recipient) gives me straightforward piscatorial reports. As a retired/cynical editor and outdoor writer, I appreciate his honesty and other colorful/optimistic reports from Tommy, a longtime former marina owner himself, who now assists with overseeing the operation. Yeah, I miss the old, narrow rivers and creeks, but the Corps has stocked some of the best-tasting lake replacements tax-dollars can provide!I have to ask myself...why would I go anywhere else!

Best fishing area on Truman Lake

We have been staying here for many years.  We fish in this area so the marina and boat ramps make this lodge exceptionally convenient for us. NEVER had a  problem leaving our valuables in the room.  The staff and owners always willing to go the extra mile to make our stay pleasant.

Always a relaxing stay!

I have stayed here many times over the years and this is a lodge like you have never been too, if you like to be around friendly people and enjoy the beautiful view of the lake, this is the place.  Many picnic tables and bbq pit and pool toys are provided for your use as well as lots of chairs, tables and umbrellas available at pool side.  Oh, don't forget the boat ramp and marina available.  Wes and the staff are first class people, not sure what was the issue with the low rating.  Stop by for a visit and then you will know why the reviews are good.

Always a good time.

The night before coming here we had just stayed in an exclusive, brand new golf resort in Camdenton, and this place was very different from that. My best friend from 7th grade and her husband recommended Osage Bluff because it was the closest place to stay near their campsite.  A lady who cleaned the rooms said they built it in the eighties so it appears a little bit rundown on the outside. We had a kitchenette and my 16-year-old stayed in an adjoining room. They had satellite TV in both rooms and very loud air conditioners which shut out the noise from outside (if there was any). The rooms were spotless with comfortable beds. They didn't provide anything but tiny bars of soap. But that's okay because we came prepared.  The only thing I did not like was coming back to the hotel at night where an entire family ate dinner right outside our room. That was weird but they could fix it by moving the picnic table. Other than that it was all good.  They had a tiny pool but all the kids seemed to enjoy it during the evening.

Mostly Good Place to Stay If You're Not Camping

Couldn't find a hotel in the area due to Bass Tournament.  We were able to find a kitchenette at Osage Bluff Lodge at last minute and we were glad to have a room.  Didn't care what it cost.  $85.00 seemed a bargain when we otherwise would have had to drive to Clinton, MO.  Old outdated rooms, towels were from the 90s, but we had beds and a room.

Older Motel - great for fishermen

I tried to stay here, but even though the office was wide open, no one ever came to the front desk. I had no phone service there (Verizon) so I couldn't call. 

But that was probably for the best, because a sign taped to the front desk said there was a boil water order in effect there. It said they would give you free bottled water, and there were a couple gallon bottles of water sitting on the floor, one of which had already been opened and partially used.

The facilities are rough. It is definitely overpriced for the condition it is in. 

The air conditioner struggled to keep up. You have to bend down to fit under the shower but there is no room to do that as the shower is a tiny plastic job.
