We weren’t sure what to expect of this resort deep in the mountains of Montana but when we arrived we were definitely impressed. The cabin we stayed in was beautifully decorated and had an amazing, huge living room, dining area, and big kitchen. Our room was appointed nicely with lovely decor. There was a hot tub right outside our room. We could walk across the road to the golf shop and dining area. The golf shop staff were very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed their merchandise selection. Head pro, Jared Rogers, set us up with a lovely day of golf on their incredible course and gave us lots of information about things to do in the area. Sherry made sure we had everything we needed in our room. Tina in the restaurant was a great representative because she was friendly and professional. The food was delicious. Our only regret is we aren’t staying longer. We can see why this is the #1 golf course in Montana.

Don’t hesitate to visit this golf course resort!  It’s an amazing place to play and stay!

This place is beautiful!  The grounds were wild, but also very nicely manicured.  We saw numerous deer and birds around the property.  The staff were plentiful and very nice.  Our room was clean and the mattress was amazing.  We loved our stay and we will be back!

Beautiful Place

This was the most beautiful place I've ever been. While I don't golf I had lots of friends and family use the course and it's incredible. They reported it to be some of the greatest golf yet. I loved the peacefullness of this resort and unique experience it offers. 10/10- will go again. 

Amazing! Most beautiful mountain retreat

What a way to relax. We have been coming to the wilderness club for 5-6 years now. I came down for a girls weekend getaway and the resort delivered us what we were hoping for - true R&R. We loved going on walks, to the large hot tub, hanging out on the huge patio, and getting some sleep ins in some very comfy beds. 

Brandie welcomed us with such kindness and fun energy. She hoped in a golf cart and guided us to our house and made sure we were comfortable. She made us feel very welcome. Thank you!

My favourite driveable getaway from Calgary

The Golf Course is fantastic — pace of play was less than 4 hrs and it is in great shape. The food at the Wilderness Grill is wonderful in a relaxing atmosphere. Our room was comfortable and well appointed. The views around the entire property are gorgeous. We also enjoyed the beach!

Relaxing and Beautiful

We spent 3 wonderful nights in the Cottonwood cabin overlooking the 18th hole with some amazing views.  The Wilderness Club did a great job of considering the details to ensure an enjoyable stay with cut firewood, a comfortable personal hot tub, and a clean and comfortable cabin.  The only request for going forward is that the cabin indicates it sleeps up to 6 people, but the kitchen is only equipped for up to 4 people.  One note is the website indicates the cabin has laundry as it is considered a Luxury Cottage, but it is not in the cabin.  We were able to use laundry machines in another part of the resort for free.  All the other amenities (golf, kids club, pool, snack shack, sports court) were enjoyable.

Great family cabin/visit

What a great stay for our 8 golfers. The staff at check-in made us feel welcome. It was a great experience from check-in, the accommodations, to golf, and dinner (2 nights).  Dinners were exceptional. Our server, Ella was the BEST!.  Will be looking forward to our next trip here!....and....The golf course was in super-great shape!...Love this place!

Great golf trip!

Ok so I admit that the first time I went to Wilderness Club about a year ago I had mixed feelings... the setting was gorgeous but the staff was not very helpful. That was during COVID. Roll forward a year, and boy what a change! I have now been there twice in two months and even bought a piece of land to develop there, that's how much I love it. Here is what I encountered...

The first time, I stayed at the main lodge. Accommodations were ok. Two queen beds per room with a bathroom. Four bedrooms per side of the lodge (two sides total) with a nice communal area in the middle that has a gorgeous fireplace, living room and dining table. I had to ask for my room to get cleaned which during COVID was a pain and they didn't seem to have enough staff to accommodate. 

Things have really turned around.

The last two times I have stayed in cottages instead-- I highly suggest going this route! The bedrooms are just as roomy as the rooms in the lodge but they are full cottages with private kitchens and living rooms and gorgeous private decks that have dining table, BBQ, and jacuzzi. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are well stocked. The kitchens have everything I've needed to cook (minus food-- but the store is just a few minutes of driving away).

Most importantly, you go there for the setting. It's special. The wilderness club is set in the middle of mountains, so much sky, lakes, nature-- there are deer and wild turkeys walking around. The setting itself is peaceful, quiet, restocking. The people there are friendly-- everyone waves as you walk by. The staff is attentive and bends over backwards. If you get to chat with the owners, you will see that they are passionate about what they are building-- a luxury resort in the middle of one of the most stunning natural areas ever. And they respect the land, the people, the setting.

During the summer, there are tons of activities for families. When we were there last week, there was live music at the Club during dinner. And on Fridays they set up for movies in the meadow where they roast marshmallow and show family friendly flicks.

Nearby is the town of Eureka-- which has a charming little downtown with old fashioned looking stores. There's a couple of stores that sell local produce and meats.

I loved it so much I decided to buy a plot of land there. I want my kids to go back for years, to experience what it's like to disconnect each summer, to make friends and run around in the grass and fields. You will spend your days taking in the beauty, talking walks, leaving electronics behind. This is a place you come to restock your soul.

They just opened up the Restaurant and they have great food. Make sure you go and try it. They have the best banana fritters cheesecake that you will ever eat. Great family running the restaurant with great people.

Great Food at the Wilderness Grille

The golf was too notch, and the fairways and greens were well manicured! Loved the course and the challenges it created! The only thing that suffered was the service at the restaurant in the resort. The food was great, but I was disappointed about the service from the wait staff. Tried to make dinner reservations and was told they were booked solid for dinner, and the only time was 430pm. We get there at 430 and no other customers were there, and at 530 there were 3 other people in the restaurant. Why would they lie to me? We hung around the area until about 630 and the restaurant was never even close to being full? I don't get it.
