This is the absolute best choice of lodging in all of Montauk. The location is right on the ocean and the staff is amazing. They provide beaches, umbrellas, and towels. The Jacuzzi and pool are awesome. And the place is kept clean, above and beyond expectations, on a daily basis. 

Look no further. The best place in town!!

Five stars! Keep in mind this is a renovated old motel in Montauk. I think a 3 star overall property based on google. 
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️location . Right ON the Atlantic Ocean. Most rooms overlooking the beach. Make sure you book ‘oceanfront’ if you want a direct view . Right in town. Very walkable to all restaurants and shops. Keep in mind if you have health and or mobility issues and choose lower level rooms . The stairs in the heat can be a beast. 
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️chairs,umbrellas , towels provided and set up for you included in the ‘resort fee’. 
⭐️⭐️⭐️indoor pool. Sort of covered in clear glass/ plexiglass. Attendant, towels, restrooms, picnic and lounge chairs inside and out.  It’s an average but clean pool. 
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️rooms. Very clean, modern decor, bathroom well laid out and great function. Plenty of counter space. Beds comfortable, private balcony, dining table for two in room, pull out couch, tv, microwave, small fridge, coffee maker with coffee. 
☀️no restaurant on premises but many local eateries within walking distance. Parking is free and you’re given one pass for one car.

Five star beach hotel, nice layout

l hesitate to
write this, in fear that the secret escape that the Montauk Blue will be let put, but last week was I believe our fifth annual (aside from 2020) Montauk vacation. each time we've stayed at the Blue and each time it exceeds expectations. It may look from the outside like a "motel" but it is far from it. we are recognized at check in each year, and our beach needs don't even need to be repeated each day - management anf staff takes the time
to remember you day after day, year after year. (shout out to javier!)  

there's not a bad room on the property. most are ocean facing and you habe your own balcony. somehow housekeeping keeps your room spotless each day despite the inevitable copious amount of sand dragged in daily. 

check in is at 3 - but arrive any time that day and you are given beach and pool access until your room is
ready.   you are minutes walking to
delis, pancakes, pizza even the 7/11 (they carry the best firewood for your beach campfire)

Of note: chair and umbrella service is 10-5 so
if you plan on sitting on the beach outside of
these hours, pack beach chairs. 

Cried when I left and counting the seconds until next summer.

You're missing out!

Always a good experience.  Ocean views are spectacular.  Beds are comfortable.  Pool is a great feature.  Walk to town and breakfast.  A little pricey but not outrageous. Would definitely recommend and will continue to return

What a view!

I Was there this past weekend and loved this hotel. We had a first floor room with a view of the beach. We  arrived before 3pm and they said our room was ready, and the staff was very nice . The location is perfect- we parked the car in the lot and walked everywhere ! We loved the deck and that lounge chairs were available and we loved that we could also ask for chairs on the beach. The staff did a good job making sure we had we needed. I would recommend this hotel!

We LOVE LOVE Montauk Blue! Now we come in June AND October! We leave the door open at night, even in October, to hear the majestic sounds of the ocean. We wake up to an amazing sunrise (see pics) And later take a few steps right on to the beach, where top quality beach chairs and umbrellas, as well as luxurious beach towels are provided! 

The ENTIRE staff is incredibly friendly and extremely hard working. (Particularly the kind and helpful, compassionate, energetic beach staff, Jabar, as well as the lovely Janet in the front office!)

This place is amazingly well maintained, they are constantly sweeping and disinfecting and doing everything to keep things in tip top shape. This includes the terrific enclosed heated pool and the hot, inviting jacuzzi! Towels are provided and there is always someone there to help with anything. 

AND…The location is perfect. Walking distance to the heart of Montauk with all the restaurants and shopping 

This is the perfect beachfront motel and worth the money. We don’t think there’s any comparison!



THE BEST MOTEL IN MONTAUK!!!

Location right on the beach is everything, with friendly chair and umbrella service. Our oceanfront king room was well kept and had everything we needed. Nice that it's spacious with a loveseat and chairs and a table, and we enjoyed the private balcony. Although it is not fancy, I thought certain decor items were cute, including the couch, table, dresser, and log night tables, and the bathroom sink had a modern feel, and the arched shower curtain rod was appreciated for more space. If the gymnasium school blue of the walls and carpet were toned down a bit, I think it has potential to be stylish. Housekeeping, the pool attendant, and front desk staff were all great.

The weekend pricing was what almost kept us from booking because it was just so inflated, triple the price of other days in the year it seems, and I have actually never in my life paid so much per night at a hotel, even for much fancier hotels. I don't regret it because it suited our needs, but in honesty the price is the one thing that would make me hesitate to book again in the future. I know it is in keeping with other Montauk hotel prices in peak season on a weekend, but it's just exorbitant for me personally. Otherwise, we were very happy with our stay and would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

Well kept hotel right on the beach

We stay at the Montauk Blue every summer - love the location, rooms, view, beach service- everything about it works for our family and we always look forward to our few days there. This review though is to highlight Janet who always helps me with my reservation- she is so pleasant, friendly, professional and efficient. She goes out of her way to make sure we get the room we  love -- I wish all customer service experiences were like they are with her!

Super clean with the best location in Montauk.
Right on the beach ocean front and walking distance to town center. Janet and complete staff very friendly and super helpful. Yes it is pricey but not when compared to other places in Montauk that are not even near ocean.  Left balcony doors open and slept to waves crashing each night!  missing it already!

4th of July weekend

We could fall asleep listening to the ocean waves. The Blue Montauk rooms with private balconies give protection from wind and rain, when sitting outside. Easy 5 min walk to several restaurants and lots of interesting retail shops. We loved long walks on the beach.
