Exactly as advertised — an old-fashioned Motel, clean as a whistle, quiet, inexpensive, excellent bed, coffee in the morning. Friendly staff to welcome you. Everything was just right! All the comforts of a chain, all the warmth of a mom and pop place.

Clean and comfortable!

Needed a place for the night without a reservation. Lucky to find it. Quaint motel with comfortable rooms. Very clean and cozy. Quite even though on a main drag. Reasonable cost and great caretakers. Coffee, tea or hot cocoa available in the morning.

Vermont motel that reminds you of movies about Vermont

Je me suis arrêter ici par hasard et jai été surprise de constater que les proprio étaient québécois et ils ont gardes leur francais Rejean est tres sympatique et ma chambre super propre..
 stopped here and i was surprise cause the owner is a quebecois and he speak french. .im from quebec so i speak french too!!

A very well maintained motel with a cottage feel. Comfortable and clean beds. We stayed in a room with 2 double beds, which was quite spacious. Excellent price and service. The shower in our room would have needed replacing (at least curtain and shower head).

Clean and comfortable motel

It's certainly an older motel, but the room was essentially what I expected. Contrary to some previous reviews, I didn't find the room to be that small. I suppose there are other rooms that are smaller than ours, I don't know. Owners very friendly and helpful, location is okay, close to many places to eat and not far from either Barre or Montpelier. My big complaint unfortunately is price. $129 for a night is very expensive for a night in a standard older motel. I would like to stay here again if I'm in the area in the future, but I would hesitate due to the price.

Decent but expensive

Little trip with my mama. Warmly welcomed by the authentic owner who speaks both french and english. Very friendly person. We felt welcomed and appreciated. Very good price for the room. Confortable and very clean. Good mattress, we slept very well. Could not ask for better. I would not hesitate to go back to this motel. Thanks you and merci monsieur Gagnon!

Looking forward to stay there again!

I have stayed at the Motel a numbers of times .  It is consistently very clean , friendly owners and comfortable beds .  Highly recommended .  Prices are very reasonable .  It is right on route 302 and between Barre and the capital of Vermont .Montpelier .

Neat and clean little Motel

While the owner's are quite friendly, the room was quite dated & shabby looking with a strong musty smell. The bathroom was so small and the shower was the smallest I have ever encountered. We were charged $129 for the room which was not worth that charge at all. Skip this place.

overpriced

The management was great, the room was fantastic, very clean and well kept.  Very nice place to stay.  Would recommend to anyone.  The rates were real reasonable and it is near everything.  This motel is on a main route between Montpelier, VT and Barre, VT.

Room for a Legion conference

Our trip thru Vermont was great due to the weather,the people we met and the scenery. The people at the Twin City Motel(a 50s styled motel)were absolutely just great.They were pleasant,helpful and knowledgable about the area. They directed us to a wonderful 100 year old restaurant of which we ate three reasonably priced meals with excellent food.The motel room was small but clean,the bathroom was clean but extremely small overall.Not good for a big person! The grounds were beautiful and the building cleanly painted.Only problem we had was the shower stall drained slowly.
