What a great find!!! Super clean and spacious. Office personnel were great. For being a mining town, it had some character. Definitely drive the up or down Coronado trail (aka 191). Very steep and curvy, but just beautiful. This was the start of our crazy trip driving just about all around Arizona.

It's a busy place but... being from Glendale, we're use to it 

The Motel is the only available venue in Morenci. But the Upgraded Motel was clean, service was spot on, and with the restaurant being connected very easy stay.  The only downside was that the mine is not far away and your car will be covered with dust in the morning.😉 our room came with a full small kitchen, there is a local grocery store right across the street, plus a full community center with fitness rooms, indoor pool, and more. The Library and even a Starbucks right across the street. You’ll enjoy your stay.

Excellent place to spend the night!

We had stayed at the Morenci Motel a few years ago as a stop over before we tackled Hwy 191 (The Coronado Trail) by motorcycle.  We enjoyed it then so we thought we'd give it another try on our latest motorcycle trip up the Trail.  On this visit, we stayed in a king room, #51, that I would consider to be a "premium room" at this motel.  Even though we were on the bottom floor and the fact that the motel was booked solid - we didn't hear a peep from our upstairs neighbors.  The parking was right outside our room window and the entry to the room was inside in a long corridor.  The room was spacious with a pretty comfortable king-sized bed. The pillows were clean and fluffy.  The room had a fridge, 2 burner stove, cookware, sink and microwave.  There's also a desk and desk chair and a small flat screen TV on top of a dresser.  The room has air conditioning.  The bath has a tub/shower combo.  The water was hot and had good pressure.  If you stay more than one night be aware that there is no regular housekeeping service. There is a cleaning schedule which is posted on the bathroom mirror.   Although other reviews claim that there is a continental breakfast, we were not offered one.  Our room rate was $79, plus taxes.  The only issue I had with the room (other than the carpet being a bit soiled) was the fact that everything looked like it had been wiped down with a dirty rag.  The microwave, stove, faucets, windows, etc. were all streaked.  I'm a bit of a clean freak, so I promptly used the provided paper towels to wipe everything down again.  The carpet also seemed to have a musty smell.  I understand that pets are allowed in the rooms, but are not to be left unattended.  One other note - check in time is 3 pm.  We got there at 2:30 pm and we were told.... no key until 3 pm, so we went into the adjoining restaurant area and had lunch which was quite good, fresh and reasonably priced.  The server we had lacked interpersonal skills, but we weren't there to make friends. There is also a small bar on site and that place was hopping later in the evening.  All in all - a good stay at the Morenci Motel.  I would definitely stay again, but next time I think I'll bring some Windex.

Surprising Morenci Motel

The room we had came with small refrigerator and microwave.  Room was clean and bed was comfortable.  Good value for the money.  The food in the restaurant was good.  All staff were pleasant and polite.  Across the street is a mall with grocery store, hardware store, a starbucks and a recreation center.

Alright Place To Stay

The Morenci Motel just off of Route 191 (Coronado Trail) is a great place to stay. They offer a continental breakfast included in the rate, or you can go the motel restaurant just off the lobby for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, which is not included in the rate. Simply stated this is a clean and comfortable place to stay in the beautiful mountainous area of Eastern Arizona.

An Oasis in the Mountains

Ever been to a place ready to enjoy a certain meal only to be told they ran out of that entrée? How about expecting a buffet line with salad bar only to find wilted lettuce and less than fresh sides? But then wait - you come in another day and the food is hot, swiftly brought to your table and the experience was great? There is no sign outside to let you know which experience to expect. 

Spot on or no spot at all

This place isn't the Ritz but it is clean and comfortable. Only had to stay one night and checked in pretty late. Even when checking in late the desk clerk was helpful and efficient. it is well located and yet very quiet.

Clean and comfy

This place was better than I expected. I go on a motorcycle ride almost once a year over the Coronado Scenic Byway.  I have stayed in Safford, Clifton, and now Morenci.  I will stay at the Morenci Motel next time too.

The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful.  When I asked about restaurants, they mentioned the restaurant in the motel.  The hotel is across the street from Basha's grocery store, and the Morenci Mall where most of the towns restaurants are located.  Nice that those places are within close walking distance.

The room seemed like it had been recently redone.  The TV was a nice flatscreen hanging on the wall.  Furniture was in good shape, and the easy chair and bed mattress were very comfortable.  The room was clean and didn't appear to have any deferred maintenance.  For sure it is a lot nicer place than the Rode Inn in Clifton.

The breakfast was just toast and muffins.  Not even any fruit, and the coffee wasn't that good.  I don't really count that as breakfast and had a protein bar in my room instead.  I noticed a lot of people bringing groceries back from the store across the street.  The rooms do have microwaves, refrigerators and a pretty good countertop area to spread out.

The free wi-fi signal was strong, and seemed plenty fast.

There was no highway noise coming into the room, which is a problem I had in Clifton with the semi-trucks and trains.  The main problem with this hotel is noise from the other rooms.  In the late afternoon I could hear my neighbors TV, and on Saturday morning the construction workers a couple doors down had some music I could hear.  If it wasn't Morenci, I would count that as a major strike and not stay there again.
